Fairchild Music Group Launched
Written by Rhonda on September 8, 2010 – 6:26 pm -HENDERSONVILLE, TN September 08, 2010 Ron Fairchild, Tommy Fairchild, and Dean Haskins have announced the formation of Fairchild Music Group, a full-service production and recording company located in the beautiful Nashville suburb of Hendersonville. After several decades of significant musical influence in Gospel and Country Music, the trio reached an agreement to join efforts in a new venture designed to offer world-class music production, mainly to Gospel Music artists, putting in reach, a level of production previously not even within the realm of possibility for many of them.
Ron Fairchild, pianist/arranger for the Oak Ridge Boys for nearly three decades, recently came off the road to offer his producing/engineering expertise to other recording artists, and opened Ron Fairchild Music in Hendersonville. Having worked closely in the studio with many top musicians and producers, like The Crabb Family and Michael Sykes, Ron is now devoting his efforts to providing artists with the absolute finest in recording engineering and production. Ron is, and will remain, the heart and soul of Fairchild Music Group.
Tommy Fairchild, a Gospel Music legend, spent many years performing and recording with such groups as The Oak Ridge Boys and The Blackwood Brothers before becoming a musical staple in shows on the Branson Strip. Having recently moved to the Nashville area, Tommy is now lending his arranging and producing talents to artists and groups seeking to hone their performance styles and techniques to the level for which he has been revered for so long. Fairchild Music Group is proud to have such an indomitable musical force available for our artists, providing his unparalleled expertise in their recordings.
Dean Haskins, a veteran composer and arranger, rounds out Fairchild Music Group, providing not only his outstanding musical skills, but also his talents in marketing and promotion. Whether called upon to lend his ear for producing, or developing marketing concepts and strategies for FMG artists, Haskins is an integral part of everything FMG does. As the head of marketing, much of FMG’s outreach to Gospel artists and groups will fall squarely into Haskins’ arena.
Ron Fairchild stated, “We are really looking forward to being able to offer a level of musical production many of these deserving artists just had no way of obtaining before. If an artist or group will just sit down and talk with us, we’re certain that we’ll be able to pleasantly surprise them. We’ll do everything we can to make a way for them to truly have the finest Nashville production, in a way that they’ll be able to handle financially.” Of working with the two Fairchilds, Haskins said, “Just being in a room with these men is awe-inspiring. When one looks at the wealth of musical memories to which they have contributed over the years, it’s just very hard to put that into words. I am looking forward to all of the new legendary musical moments we’re going to get the opportunity to influence.”
Fairchild Music Group has recently launched its new website: www.fairchildmusicgroup.com. Designed by Dean Haskins, it contains a wealth of information for potential FMG recording artists.
Fairchild Music Group has positioned itself to be the new standard in Gospel Music production, and is committed to producing the very best recording projects for the very best artists and groups in our industry. Tommy Fairchild added, “We have a limited number of immediate slots available for new projects, and as we continue to expand, we expect to be working with several top-tier, touring acts. We believe we will be the dominant force in Gospel Music production.”

Brain Surgery For Shannon Bunch In Near Future
Written by Rhonda on August 30, 2010 – 1:41 pm -
Shannon Bunch has been suffering with a a neuro-muscular disease for the past 24 years called dystonia. In brief, dystonia is involuntary muscle contractions. There is a procedure that has only been available to dystonia patients since the early 2000′s where brain surgery is performed to insert deep brain stimulators or DBS. DBS surgery consists of implanting two probes into the basal ganglia / sub-thalamic area of the brain. Lead wires are then “fished” underneath the scalp to the collar bone region where a battery is placed much like a pacemaker. The DBS, once engaged, will intercept the contracting signals to stop or greatly lessen the spasms. Shannon has been experiencing pain since the 7th grade, but did not receive a diagnosis until 8 years ago. In spite of a regimen of Botox Injection treatments and other medications, the pain has significantly increased. At this time, the surgery is not scheduled pending insurance authorizations which should be completed in 1-3 months. The DBS process is broken down into 3 steps, the first of which is performed under local anesthesia.
Shannon and his family greatly appreciate prayer support during this time. Specific prayer requests are for minimal pain for Shannon, and for his wife Melissa as she carries the burden of more house-hold tasks. Also prayers are appreciated concerning finances since it’s possible the procedure could hinder ministry travel.
The staff at SGNScoops.com extends well wishes and prayer support to Shannon and his family during this time.
