Sharron Kay King Records First Live DVD

BYRON, Ga. – (August 25, 2010) – Singing News Fan Award nominee Sharron Kay King recorded her first ever live DVD this past weekend. The popular soloist recorded footage for the DVD at the Leesburg Church of God in Leesburg, Georgia on Saturday, August 21, 2010.

“The evening was so exciting,” mentioned Sharron. “We had such a blast performing all of these songs live and with a great audience. I can’t wait for everyone to see this new DVD!”

The Kenny Croft Band was the house band for the recording. The band hails from Vienna, Georgia.

“Kenny Croft and his band were just a great band to have accompany me on this DVD,” mentioned Sharron. “They were very talented musicians, and I was honored to have them be a part of my event!”

Several of Sharron’s most beloved songs will be included on the live DVD, as well as new material written specifically for the DVD release. Sharron Kay King, SoGoStage to Produce Behind-the-Scenes of Concept Video

Sharron Kay King Lands SGM FanFair Award Nomination

BYRON, Ga. – The SGM FanFair Awards nominations were announced yesterday in a press release announcement, and popular Southern Gospel soloist Sharron Kay King earned a nominated for Favorite Soloist.

The SGM FanFair Awards are awarded by the readers of Christian Voice Magazine and fans of the SGM FanFair.  The category of Favorite Soloist honors the most popular soloists in the Southern Gospel industry.

“God continues to amaze me,” mentioned Sharron.  “This is an unexpected blessing, and I am so thankful to everyone who placed a vote for me in this category. It means so much to me!”

In addition to Sharron, the Favorite Soloist category includes Gordon Mote, Guy Penrod, Charlotte Ritchie, and Ivan Parker.  This is Sharron’s third consecutive nomination in this category, and she previously won this award in 2008.  Sharron was also awarded Favorite Female Vocalist in the 2007 SGM FanFair Awards.

The nominees in the SGM FanFair Awards were chosen by the readers of Christian Voice Magazine and attendees of the SGM FanFair.  The winners for the awards will be announced on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee at the 6th Annual SGM FanFair.
