Fort Myers Film Festival Partners with Sky Angel Productions to Create Faith/Inspirational Film Category for Inaugural 2011 Event

(Fort Myers, Fla. – August 31, 2010)  The Fort Myers Film Festival (FMFF) and Sky Angel Productions have partnered to nurture local original faith and inspirational programming for the inaugural film festival scheduled to be held March 24-27, 2011.  Sky Angel Productions offers a full range of video production services, from short form commercials to infomercials, weekly television series to national special live events, concerts and video training. The Fort Myers Film Festival will feature independent films galore March 24-27, 2011 at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, with an opening night gala on March 23, 2011 for VIP guests from the city with filmmakers and cinemasts alike. The Fort Myers Film Festival is an intelligent independent filmmaker’s preferred event to create, unite and showcase the finest artistic cinematic works. This inaugural event will be one for the history books in Fort Myers and is a must attend for filmmakers and indie filmgoers living in Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties.

Raddatz will host the Fort Myers Film Festival’s weekly Monday night intellectualization series, starting in November 2010, where guests will observe and weigh in on films in consideration for the film festival, along with celebrity judges.

Raddatz has been an active an active player in the Southwest Florida arts community for many years, producing films in the region and most recently birthing the Naples International Film Festival, serving as Executive Director its inaugural year in 2009. The festival featured award-winning international films, including The Cove, which afterwards went on to win an Oscar. The festival reports to have raised $900,000 in revenue to the city that year, earning awards from local media as ‘best festival in town,’ unifying the artistic film community and securing itself as a must festival to watch and attend.

Sky Angel’s production division receives One Silver and Two Bronze Awards

The 31st Annual Telly Award competition received 11,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries. A Silver Telly Award in the Non-Profit category was received for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Fundraising Videos entitled Coaches, Camps and Community, produced in conjunction with EJC Productions. The videos raised awareness of the organization’s needs during its annual fundraising banquet, sharing the stories of coaches and kids to show how FCA impacts lives in lasting ways for Jesus Christ.

A Bronze Telly in the Children’s Broadcast category was received for Babies Love Water!, the second title in the Halo Baby series created just for babies and toddlers. The series incorporates simple Biblical elements into every video. Babies Love Water! features original music by composer Paul Todd. This is the second Telly Award for the Halo Baby series, which is available for purchase and can be seen on KTV (Kids and Teen Television).

Another Bronze Telly was received for a Food for Orphans commercial in the Fundraising / Appeals category. With 143 million orphans worldwide and 400,000 dying of malnutrition each year, this spot was created to evoke support for the non-profit organization and received free airtime on several Sky Angel channels.

Former Promise Keepers Executive Rick Wright Joins Sky Angel

4^th Annual Award Honors Outstanding Christian Teachers Held on March 13

Bill Dykes Scheduled to Appear on “Seniors Today” January 7 on Atlanta ’s Channel 57 (WATC)
