The Quicks10-30-07
SCOOP-The Quicks to be featured on the Gospel Greats NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Quicks were recently interviewed on The Gospel Greats with Paul Heil, Southern Gospel Music’s most widely-known syndicated radio program. The Quicks will be featured in the Artist Spotlight segment of this award-winning radio show during the weekend of November 3, 2007.
Group members Tim, Sally, and Rebecca Quick met with Paul Heil during the week of the 2007 National Quartet Convention to record the interview. On the Artist Spotlight segment, you will hear portions of their visit along with songs from their new CD including their new radio single, The Word is Out, which was co-written by Sally Quick and singer/songwriter Daryl Williams.
“It was really exciting getting to be interviewed for The Gospel Greats” says Sally. We also enjoyed our visit with Paul and Sheila before the tape started rolling. They are just our kind of people. The fact that we are both raising teenagers may add to that. It makes for some interesting stories!”
“Paul and Sheila were so awesome to be around – they made our interview so much fun and laid back," stated Rebecca. "And Sheila is my new favorite person because she likes to do Sudoku as much as I do!”
The new recording by The Quicks, THE WORD IS OUT, was produced by Tommy Cooper, whose client list reads like a Who’s Who of Gospel music. Tommy has worked with such artists as Anthony Burger, Reggie and Lady Love Smith, Ben Speer, The Crabb Family, The Cathedrals, not to mention the Gaither Vocal Band and the Gaither Homecoming Series.
Tim says, “We have a lot of fun at what we do. Making this album with Tommy was no exception.”
The Quicks are currently preparing some patriotic songs for a project, with plans for distribution to active duty and retired service personnel directly at military bases as well as reaching Veteran’s Facilities such as VA hospitals and Veteran’s homes.

SCOOP- Northern Edge In Studio
(Goodlettsville, TN) - Northern Edge, from Hart, Michigan, was recently in the studio recording tracks for their new project with the Eddie Crook Company.
This mixed quartet found it's calling into the ministry in 1999 as a family trio. While looking for that true Southern gospel four part harmony a bass singer was added to the group in 2000. This blend of harmonies gave a new sound to area churches. Listening to Northern Edge one can certainly expect to hear Southern Gospel, but may also hear a little country and perhaps, even a bit of gospel and blues.
A projected street date for the project is early 2008.
