Nashville, TN Family Music Group artist Jason Davidson recently  released his debut album, He Came Searching For Me.  Over 60 Southern Gospel’s industry professionals, VIP’s, friends and family came together to celebrate his new project.  July 25 was filled with great music, food, fun and fellowship at the Family Room Studios in Gallatin, TN.  Jason wowed the crowd with five new songs off of the album throughout the night, including “Without Forgiveness,” “I Will Not Be Shaken” and “Love Sets Another Place.”  Duane Allen of the Oak Ridge Boys made a special appearance before heading out on tour, to hear Jason.

Well-known songwriters, Jerry Salley and Marty Funderburk, were also in attendance for this special night.  It was truly incredible to watch these songwriters moved to tears, by Jason’s delivery of a song in which they had poured their heart and soul.  Marty Funderburk said of the night, “What could have been just another record release party turned into a worship service as Jason Davidson sang and testified…each song so clearly illustrating his personal walk with Jesus.”  He added, “Jason Davidson possesses more than a powerful voice…he sings with a clarity of heart and purpose that could only come with time and experience!”

Jason said during the event, “I can’t sing something unless it means something to me.”  His genuineness and commitment to the lyric was evident every time he sang.  Jason is a storyteller by nature and trade.  Every word he sang, whether his own or another’s, was delivered with passion, grit, intent and love.  You couldn’t help but feel that he was sharing his own life experiences.  Rick Francis, Operations Manager, Singing News Magazine said, “This was my first opportunity to meet Jason in person, and I was extremely impressed with his vocal talent, as well as his abilities as a “communicator.”  The room was packed with people, and when he sang, he connected to everyone in the room!”
