SGNScoops heard today that Gospel music songwriter,  Gary S. Paxton, has died.

Wikipedia gives the following tribute: Gary Sanford Paxton (born May 18, 1939 – July 16, 2016) is an American record producer, and a Grammy Award and Dove Award winning songwriter and recording artist.

James Marvell, Gospel artist, tells SGNScoops: “The composer of ‘He Was There All The Time’ passed away today. Gary S. Paxton was truly a musical visionary.

“I knew Gary since the early ’70’s and always hoped to record one of his great compositions. I plan to do that in the future, a song Gary Paxton himself pitched to me a few years back which I sang on the national TV Show ‘Spirit Of America’ filmed in Branson around 2006. I hope to record the song in his honor.”
SGNScoops extends their thoughts and prayers to the friends and family of Gary Paxton.
