GOLD CITY QUARTET PART OF HERITAGE OF GOLD TOUR
ROBERT YORK·MONDAY, MAY 23, 2016
Dahlonega, GA – The Gold City – In the early 1800’s gold was found in this town and as a result there was a gold rush to the North Georgia Town and it obtained the name Gold City. In the 1840’s the gold had played out but around 1980 a gospel singing group appeared that is known today as GOLD CITY QUARTET. Tim Riley was bass singer of the group and they re-located to Gadsden, AL their home town. In 1981 the group appeared on the main stage of the National Quartet Convention and became a top group in the industry. They have recorded at least ten number one songs and won numerous awards. Tim Riley has made his way into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Tim’s son Daniel Riley now manages the group. Members consist of Daniel, Chris West, Thomas Nalley, Chip Pullen and Bryan Elliott. GOLD CITY QUARTET will be part of the Heritage of Gold Reunion appearing June 11, 6:00 pm at Shiloh Hills Baptist Church, 75 Hawkins Store Road, Kennesaw, GA. Along with Gold City will be former members Steve Ladd, Jonathan Allen Wilburn and Mike LeFevre along with their groups. Hope everyone will plan on being there.
