The Guardians, Stan Toler, And The Toler Brothers Team Up For Revive America

Recalling how church revival meetings in past days combined powerful preaching and music, Dean Hickman, co-founder of the popular singing group, The Guardians, and best-selling author and speaker, Dr. Stan Toler, have announced a Revive America tour in 18 cities, “to encourage Christians to realize the need for local and national revival.”

Reflecting the rising concern for renewing America’s biblical values, packed auditoriums and a heartwarming atmosphere of revival has characterized the first Revive America events. Stan Toler, General Superintendent Emeritus of the Church of the Nazarene and former Vice President of John C. Maxwell’s Injoy Leadership Institute, quotes Salvation Army founder, William Booth, “The day will come when there will be Christianity without Christ, politics without God, religion without the Holy Spirit, and the preaching of heaven without hell.” Toler notes, “His prediction is apparent today; the need for revival is great.”

Currently, the tour schedule includes events in Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Oklahoma. It will culminate in a January 2017 “Jubilee in the Sun” Western Caribbean cruise, departing from Mobile, Alabama. Each Revive America event will feature The Guardians and Stan Toler, with guest appearances at several dates by The Toler Brothers, a southern gospel quartet that includes Dr. Toler and his brother, platinum-award winning songwriter, Terry Toler.

The growing popularity of The Guardians in southern gospel music is due to the high quality of their music arrangements, online, on CDs, and in their concerts across the nation, many with top southern gospel artists. But they are best known for their deep commitment to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in song. The group includes Dean Hickman, Neil Uhrig, and Dove Award-recipient and songwriter, John Darin Rowsey. Their Lari Goss arrangement of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” has been viewed by thousands on YouTube.

The dynamic preaching of Dr. Stan Toler is well-known internationally. Author of over 100 books, selling over 3 million copies, Toler is a recognized conference and seminar speaker. When not speaking or teaching, he adds the bass part to The Toler Brothers, a quartet known for its smooth harmony, warmth, and humor, which is in increasing demand across the nation.

About The Guardians:
The Guardians have claimed their place as one of America’s favorite southern gospel trios with recent hits “Somebody Prays,” “Shoutin’ Sounds,” “Let the Healing Begin,” and more. Group members, Neil Uhrig, John Darin Rowsey, and Dean Hickman, are committed to sharing the gospel and also to sing songs that minister to people’s hearts and touch their lives.

The Guardians travel across the country sharing stages with artists such as The Collingsworth Family, The Hoppers, Karen Peck & New River and more. This year in Pigeon Forge, TN, The Guardians will appear on the main-stage at the National Quartet Convention.

About The Toler Brothers:
Raised in one of the poorest counties in America, the Toler Brothers didn’t even have a radio in their home in West Virginia. Their entertainment was singing around an old upright piano in the living room. The southern gospel harmony born in that humble beginning has provided the background for a combined sixty years of worldwide ministries.

The brothers, comprised of best-selling author, successful pastor and general superintendent Emeritus of the Church of the Nazarene, Stan; platinum-selling songwriter and Southern Nazarene University Vice President, Terry; and inspirational speaker and pastor, Mark; are joined by Joe Hall, tenor and ordained minister, along with Zac Sutton, keyboard player extraordinare. Most recently, the Toler Brothers have produced a new album – West Virginia Live, recorded by Harvest Studios.
