Pigeon Forge, TN  – Melody Harden, newest team member of Coastal Media and Creekside Gospel Music Convention, is looking forward to increasing the footprint of Gospel music’s fastest growing event. Harden recently accepted the position of Events/Group Sales and after nine years with the National Quartet Convention, she has the organizational and administrative skills to accomplish this goal.

Harden was introduced to Gospel music by the group then known as Integrity Quartet (now Triumphant Quartet). She still counts as friends the members of Triumphant, as the beginning of a network of friends both artists and audience. She says, “If I had not been where I’ve been or met the people I’ve met, I wouldn’t be where I am today.” A series of God-led coincidences resulted in her becoming involved with the Southern Gospel Promoter’s Associaion where she met Dennis Sparks, who eventually asked her to assist with the Regional Showcases at NQC. Harden was the glue that held the showcases together successfully until 2014, ending her tenure there with packed, standing-room-only concerts.
“It was because of the Showcases that I met Vonda Easley, who introduced me to Rob Patz,” says Harden. Patz needed an “out of the box thinker” for this position, where Harden plans to continue building relationships with artists and fans, reaching out to churches and bus companies from her home base in Sevierville, Tennessee. Harden is currently in Virginia with her daughter and family, awaiting the arrival of her fifth grandchild. Although this impending birth will prevent Harden from attending NQC 2016, she is looking forward to attending Creekside 2016 and being a part of this great Convention.
Harden and Patz have already been hard at work with administrative areas of Creekside. As a former North Alabama native, Harden had two words to say about hobbies, sports and college football: “War Eagle!” This former Workers’ Compensation Adjuster loves working in Gospel music. “Melody is a great addition to our team,” says Patz. “She is an asset to Coastal Media and I’m excited to see how all of our events will grow even further with her skills. I hope everyone comes to meet Melody at Creekside 2016!”
