Southern Plainsmen Quartet Nominated for Gospel Gold Artist of the Year at 2011 Harvest Music Festival

West-Central Louisiana’s Southern Plainsmen Quartet is honored to be nominated for the Harvest Music Festival’s “Gospel Gold Artist of the Year.”

“We are so humbled by this organization’s recognition of our group,” mentioned Southern Plainsmen’s Marcelle Slaughter. “We are excited to be a part of the event, and can’t wait to meet all kinds of new people!”

The “Gospel Gold Artist of the Year” Award is handed out to artists as a part of the Harvest Music Festival which is to be held this coming November 10-12, 2011 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee at the Music Road Hotel and Convention Center.

The Southern Plainsmen were recently honored by the South Texas Gospel Music Association (STGMA) at the organization’s annual event.

The Southern Plainsmen were named this year’s Group of the Year. In addition, baritone vocalist Allen Doyle was named the 2011 Male Vocalist of the Year.
