ANDREW BRUNET AND FRIENDS BECOMES NATIONALLY SYNDICATED

Rock Hill, S.C. (JANUARY 30, 2019) – Andrew Brunet and Friends is celebrating recent growth as the radio show now is a nationally syndicated show, reaching millions of listeners across the nation with the sound of Southern gospel music.

Our goal is to reach the lost and dying souls in the world with the message of hope and encouragement, to share that no matter what trial they face, Christ is with them and will supply their needs according to His riches in glory,” shared Andrew Brunet.

It all began in 2014 with a vision to share encouragement and to carry the light of Jesus in a lost and dying world.

ANDREW BRUNET AND FRIENDS BECOMES NATIONALLY SYNDICATEDAndrew said, “I started listening to gospel music by the Inspirations and the Gaither Homecoming Hour, among others, when I was 14 years old. I knew that this was the industry I wanted to become a part of. God put me in touch with a special friend in Alabama over at WZCT, Rejeana Leeth, who was willing to give this boy a shot at trying to spin the best of gospel music and the rest is history.”

Major artists such as Gordon Mote, Rodney Griffin of Greater Vision, Les Butler, Charlotte Ritchie, Bradley Walker and Buddy Liles have made appearances on the show, and there is a strong lineup of artists on the calendar for 2019.

Gospel Music Hall of Famers the Gaither Vocal Band and Rising Country Music Singer Bradley Walker Enjoy a Rewarding Evening at This Year’s DOVE Awards

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—October 18th, 2018—GRAMMY®-winning recording artists and Gospel Music Hall of Fame members the Gaither Vocal Band were awarded Southern Gospel Artist of the Year honors last night at this year’s GMA DOVE Award ceremonies, held at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.

“The great thing that we get to do is travel as a band of brothers,” stated group member Reggie Smith during his acceptance speech, “these guys are like family, and we get to travel with the oldest ‘teenager’ on the planet–Bill Gaither! We are grateful for this award and for what we get to do.”

The quintet, which headlines one of Christian music’s biggest tours annually, also received nods for Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year for “Hallelujah Band”; Southern Gospel Album of the Year for We Have This Moment (Gaither Music Group); Bluegrass/Country/Roots Song of the Year for “Chain Breaker”; Long Form Video of the Year for Country Roots and Gospel Favorites, featuring Gaither Vocal Band, The Gatlin Brothers and The Oak Ridge Boys; and Christmas/Special Event Album of the Year for Country Roots and Gospel Favorites (Live).

Label-mate and rising country gospel singer Bradley Walker took home his first GMA DOVE Award for best Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year (Gaither Music Group) for Blessed, Hymns and Songs of Faith, produced by Ben Isaacs (The Oak Ridge Boys, Jimmy Fortune).

“Growing up singing these songs in church, you don’t think you are going to receive an award one day,” said a surprised and elated Walker. “It’s just hard to believe. I want to thank Bill Gaither for giving me the opportunity to record this album, and I want to dedicate this award to Joey Feek. Without her love and support and were it not for my getting to sing at her home-going, this would never have happened. I am, as the album title says, ‘blessed.’”

A well-loved performer for years among classic country and bluegrass music circles, Walker was also nominated for Southern Gospel Artist of the Year and for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Song of the Year for “I Will Someday” (featuring The Isaacs), written by Chris Stapleton, Garnet Bowman, Morgane Hayes and Ronnie Bowman.

2017 GMA DOVE Award Nominee Blessed with New Gospel CD and DVD

Walker Joined by Many of His Musical Heroes on Upcoming Studio Recording that Follows His Chart-topping Gospel Music Debut

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—September 12th, 2017– Country singer and GMA DOVE Award nominee Bradley Walker has just completed an all-new, studio recording and LIVE concert DVD of gospel songs and hymns that will be released on October 6th. Produced by Ben Isaacs (The Oak Ridge Boys, The Isaacs), Blessed, Hymns and Songs of Faith (Gaither Music Group) captures many of the songs that inspired Walker to become a singer.

“As a singer, I’d have to say an album like this has always been on my ‘bucket list,’” described Walker. “I have always hoped I would have the chance to make a record full of classic gospel songs that I’ve grown up on, with some new ones thrown in, and make it a good representation of who I am musically. I believe we’ve done that.”

That accomplishment not only finds the Alabama native fulfilling a lifelong dream but doing so alongside some of his musical influences and heroes.

“Ben [Isaacs] and I wanted to capture the combination of country, bluegrass, and gospel that we both love so much; and I’m so thrilled for folks to hear how it came together,” stated Walker. “We also asked several of my favorite singers on the planet to be on this album with me. These are folks who I’ve listened to and admired for many years and who I’m proud to say have all become friends.”

That group of friends includes the legendary Vince Gill, who joined Walker for “Drifting Too Far from the Shore,” a classic previously performed by Hank Williams, Sr. and Emmylou Harris among others. Award-winning songstress Alison Krauss lent her vocals to Walker’s rendition of “Angel Band,” and bluegrass star Rhonda Vincent added her talent to the gospel classic “One Day at a Time.” Country and Gospel Music Hall of Famers Jimmy Fortune and The Oak Ridge Boys performed on the new recording in addition to the GRAMMY®-nominated Isaacs and 15-time GRAMMY® Award winner Ricky Skaggs.

The LIVE concert DVD recording, filmed in Alexandria, Indiana, features an all-star cast of musicians including Isaacs and soloist Charlotte Ritchie. Hosted by Gaither Music Group’s founder Bill Gaither, the DVD spotlights Walker’s heart for this style of music and his dream to record this collection of songs.

“My country music heroes made some of the best gospel records of all-time, in my opinion,” said Walker. “…folks like Vern Gosdin, Conway Twitty and so many more. People have told me for years, ‘You need to make a gospel album!’ Well, here it is, and I hope it is something that will be a blessing to folks for a long time. This is all another dream come true, and I feel so honored…so fortunate…and so incredibly BLESSED!”

The Blessed, Hymns and Songs of Faith CD and DVD recordings will be airing this fall as part of a TV special on networks including TBN, RFD-TV, PBS, The Heartland Network, FamilyNet, CTN, GMC, GMTN, Guardian, Liberty, TCT, TLN and Gaither TV (available on Roku, Google and the Internet). It will be airing in Canada on Vision TV, CTS, The Miracle Channel and Hope TV.

Bradley Walker Collaborates with Rory Feek for Sophomore Solo Recording

NASHVILLE, Tenn.–September 16th, 2016–Country singer and Alabama native Bradley Walker has just recorded his sophomore release, Call Me Old-Fashioned (Gaither Music Group/Farmhouse Recordings), produced by longtime friend, singer and songwriter Rory Feek (Joey+Rory) and scheduled to hit the streets on September 23rd.

A well-loved performer for years among country and bluegrass music circles, Walker is a storyteller. His unmistakable baritone vocals are at once refreshing yet warmly familiar as are his songs about life, love, family and his Christian faith.
“I think of this as a gospel record for people who don’t go to church,” Walker says, adding that he thinks the church crowd will embrace it as well; but he wants to do more than sing to the choir.  “I hope this can be an inspiration not only to people who are in church because I believe that’s where we all need to be, but I want to reach people also who aren’t in church and get them thinking about life.  These are songs about real life.”
When it come to real-life songs, this longtime fan of country music legends like Merle Haggard, Vern Gosdin, Keith Whitley, George Jones, Gene Watson, Mel Street and George Strait knew just how to find lyrical gems he can’t wait to share.
The title cut, penned by Dave Turnbull and Jerry Salley, captures Walker’s love of tradition; and “The Toolbox,” written by Dennis Duff, is a quintessential country tale with beautiful analogy. Friends and award-winining group The Isaacs joined Walker for the gospel classic “Sweet Beulah Land,” and Walker showcases his signature style on the Kris Kristofferson-penned “Why Me.”
A student of country music lyrics for many years, Walker put his own life story to music alongside Feek and the late Tim Johnson with the song “I Feel Sorry for Them,” a poignant ballad that reflects Walker’s life journey in a wheelchair and defines the strength and grace that people know as Bradley Walker.
The song begins, “From the day that I was born I’ve learned to live with how things are.  I’ll never step up to the microphone or strum my own guitar.  For over 30 years now, I’ve been sitting in this chair.  When people stop and ask me if I think life’s been unfair, I say… I feel sorry for the hard-working mother raising children on her own.  And I feel sorry for the one who has to call cold underpass his home.  And all the lonely people out there who cannot find a friend, I feel sorry for them.”
“Bradley has a story to tell,” stated Feek.  “A unique story that God is telling with his life…and with his voice and his wheelchair and his muscular dystrophy and especially…his wonderful heart.  And just as I know Joey would be, I am so honored to be a small part of the big things that are coming together for Bradley.  He so, so deserves it.”
Feek and his late wife, Joey, have long been a part of Walker’s story.  The three recorded songs together and performed on various stages around the country.  Joey requested Walker sing the old hymn “Leave It There” at her funeral.  That performance caught the ear of gospel music legend Bill Gaither, and Gaither Music Group teamed up with Walker and Feek for the new CD and DVD recordings.
“Bradley Walker has one of those voices that stops you in your tracks,” stated Gaither.  “His music offers the rare combination of talent, substance, and good old-fashioned values that make him a standout.”
As the new studio recording came into being, it seemed fitting for Walker to “sing with Joey” one more time.  Feek and Walker put together a special duet of the song “In the Time That You Gave Me,” featuring Walker and Joey.
The songs from the new recording are also featured on an all-new DVD, filmed in the barn at Joey+Rory’s farm outside of Nashville, TN.  Feek hosted the evening, which features a guest appearance from The Isaacs.  The DVD also includes behind-the-scenes footage with Feek and Walker who discuss life, love and the music they hold dear.
“I hope these songs are blessings to people,” the former IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year stated regarding his unique brand of faith-infused country music.  “I hope the songs make them think about their life in a way that they hadn’t thought about it before.  I want to record songs that say something….”
The Call Me Old-Fashioned recording will be featured as a TV special in the coming months on networks including RFD-TV, PBS, Gaither TV (DISH TV Channel 276), TBN, Family Net, CTN, The Walk TV (formerly Legacy), TCT and TLN and also in Canada on Vision TV, CTS, Grace TV and the Miracle Channel.  The DVD will be featured on Gaither TV (Roku, Google and the Internet).
Call Me Old-Fashioned is exclusively distributed by Capitol Christian Distribution and will be available throughout general market stores and the Christian marketplace in addition to online retailers including iTunes, Amazon and www.gaither.com.  Pre-sales are available now at www.Amazon.com, www.iTunes.com and www.gaither.com.  The recording will also be sold at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®.
