Limited Availability While Supplies Last

DOUGLASVILLE, GA, March 8, 2016 – Brian Free & Assurance (BFA) announce today that the “VIP Event Packages” for their upcoming fall Unashamed Fan Retreat at Lifeway’s Ridgecrest Conference Center in North Carolina are sold out. Due to demand, a very limited amount of Event Passes are being released for fans who want to attend this exclusive weekend with the Dove Award winning artist October 14 – 16, 2016. The Event Pass will allow fans to stay off campus yet still be a part of this monumental event, celebrating a first in the group’s 22 year history.

Group owner Brian Free states, “We could never have anticipated our VIP Packages selling so quickly. Even the staff at Ridgecrest didn’t expect our packages to sell out until July of this year. We are releasing a limited amount of off campus event passes for those who want to be a part of this special moment in our history but were unable to secure a VIP Event Package. Lodging is available less than two miles from Ridgecrest, so those who purchase an Event Pass can stay off campus and still be a part of this unique weekend together.”

The off campus Unashamed Fan Retreat Event Passes are available online at http://www.bfafanretreat.com. Only 100 event passes are being made available online. Event Pass holders will receive reserved seats to attend all concert sessions on campus, a commemorative tee shirt and wristband, enjoy group activities and experience some special surprises first hand. The Event Pass also gives access to recreational activities and hiking trails on Ridgecrest’s 1300 acre campus. Annette Frisby of Ridgecrest states, “Ridgecrest is delighted to have Brian Free & Assurance as part of our fall calendar! They will bring an excitement to this Spirit-filled place in the Blue Ridge mountains!”

Scoops_Jan_header_BFAFanRetreatUnlike a homecoming or three day event with multiple artists, the Unashamed Fan Retreat will solely feature Brian Free and Assurance with unique day and night time activities. A special feature during concert times will be a live band. Brian shares, “We have a special weekend planned for everyone and want to keep the event small so we can enjoy it with our friends. We are going to interact and spend time together as we take in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains this autumn.”

About Brian Free & Assurance: Brian Free and Assurance has been traveling full time in Gospel Music for over 22 years and are the recipients of multiple Dove Awards; most recently, Southern Gospel Performance of the Year for “Say Amen” in 2014. Award-winning songwriter Marty Funderburk to remain with Daywind Music Publishing

Written by Staff on March 5, 2015 – 1:37 pm -

unnamedHENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (March 4, 2015) – Dove Award winner Marty Funderburk has signed an exclusive agreement to remain as a part of the Daywind Music Publishing roster of songwriters. The veteran Funderburk has been affiliated with Daywind Music Publishing for the past 17 years.

“Songwriting is a privilege I hope I never take for granted,” explains Funderburk. “Daywind Publishing has nurtured my creativity and allowed me the freedom to express that which God places in my heart for the past 17 years. I look forward to all that God has in store as we re-commit ourselves to moving forward with the work at hand.”

While he has had dozens of songs land on the radio charts, Funderburk has had two No. 1 singles – the Kingdom Heirs’ hit “Forever Changed” and the Talley Trio’s chart-topping “Life Goes On.” His songs have been recorded by Kenny Rogers, Ricky Skaggs and the Whites, Gold City, Jake Hess, Janet Paschal, Sisters, Brian Free & Assurance, the Hoppers, the Blackwood Brothers, Greater Vision, Mark Lowry, Karen Peck and New River, The Mark Trammell Trio, the Perrys, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound and the Bowlings.

Of his nine Dove Award nominations, the latest came earlier in 2014, with Funderburk’s Christmas musical – “The Highest Glory” – winning the Dove Award for Musical of the Year.

“Marty Funderburk brought his talent to Daywind Publishing in the very early days of its existence,” points out Daywind Vice President of Music Publishing Rick Shelton. “His brilliant songs have been recorded by every major artist in our genre, and his choir music has been performed by thousands of church choirs. Marty is a dear member of the Daywind family. We are so very proud of him and the impact of his songwriting.”

Daywind Music Publishing is the premier source of new songs for the Southern Gospel and church print/choral markets. The organization is home to an award-winning roster of songwriters, including Belinda Smith, Dianne Wilkinson, Jason Cox, Joseph Habedank, Kyla Rowland, John Darin Rowsey, Ronny Hinson, Gerald Crabb and Scott Inman, among others.
