CLEARVISION QUARTET ANNOUNCES DEPARTURE

CLEARVISION QUARTET ANNOUNCES DEPARTURE

Oxford, AL  – It is with deep sadness that we announce the departure of Baritone Vocalist Chris Fugatt. Chris joined Clearvision in June of 2018.

Group Manager Steve Dover states, “Chris notified me recently of his desire to come off the road. Ongoing health concerns were making it harder for him to travel and keep our schedule. Chris reluctantly felt it was time to step aside and his resignation was accepted without dispute.” Dover added, “Chris has been a joy to travel with. We knew when we were looking for someone that we needed a vocalist who could hit the ground running. Chris came to us with 30+ years of experience with his family group and he fit right into our family as well. His personality was a perfect match and his vocal abilities were unequaled in all the ones we auditioned. While I hate to see him go I totally understand the toll traveling has put on him. Thankfully, during our down-time, he has been able to become more active in his local church and I support that completely. He and Tina are getting married in October and we wish them all the best. He will be missed but will always be a huge part of the Clearvision family.”

When asked about his time with Clearvision, Chris stated “I have some great memories and have had the greatest time getting to share the stage with 3 awesome guys. These guys are some of the best friends anyone could have. I hope whoever fills the position can feel the love we have felt.”

Clearvision will begin accepting applications immediately for this opening. Anyone interested in being considered for this position must submit an email to steve.cvq@gmail.com. The email should consist of a brief bio along with an mp3 clip to be considered. A YouTube link to a recent performance will also be considered. You must be a born-again Christian, be able to sing and hear parts. You must be able to practice weekly and live within a reasonable commute to Oxford, AL. We currently travel 40+ weekends a year. No phone calls or private messages please.

Chris will travel with Clearvision through the month of August. Please remain in prayer for Chris, his family, and Clearvision. God Bless.

ClearVision Breakfast, Join Us?

Written by scoopsnews on March 22, 2019 – 7:33 am -

This year marks the 3rd annual Breakfast with Clearvision. This event is always a highlight of Southern Gospel Weekend for us. It is in our hometown of Oxford, Al and allows us to be with some of our best friends and ministry supporters who normally do not have a chance to be in service with us.  We get to enjoy a great breakfast, we get to sing to a very supportive audience, and we always close with a testimony or devotional.

This year we will have 2 first-time attendees at the breakfast. Chris Fugatt, our baritone, will make his first appearance as a member of Clearvision. He came on board shortly after last years’ convention. We are excited for everyone to hear the new sound with Chris. Also, our speaker will be Rev. Donald DeLee. He is the pastor at West End Baptist Church in Alexander City, AL. He comes from a rich heritage in southern gospel music having traveled with his family group for many years before coming off the road to pastor. He has not attended SGW before and we are so excited that he will be bringing the Word after the singing.
Beside our annual anniversary singing, the breakfast is our most anticipated and exciting event of the year. We hope you will join us on March 23rd at 8am for this event; you will not want to miss it. A special thank you goes to Rob and Vonda and all the SGW staff and volunteers for allowing us to host this every year. Thank you for trusting our ministry with this event.
Clearvision Quartet is an all-male southern gospel quartet based in Oxford, AL. Group members are Jay Peoples, Steve Dover, Tony Sheppard and Chris Fugatt. Clearvision Quartet Welcomes New Vocalist

Clearvision Quartet Welcomes New Vocalist

Clearvision Quartet Welcomes New Vocalist

Oxford, AL – Clearvision Quartet, the all-male Southern Gospel Quartet proudly welcomes a new addition to their ministry. CVQ was founded in Oxford, AL and recently celebrated their 8th anniversary. It was at this anniversary celebration that Clearvision announced the selection to fill the open baritone vocalist position.

Chris Fugatt, from Lincoln, AL, was announced on June 23rd as the newest member of the Clearvision family. Chris is no stranger to gospel music having traveled with is family, The Fugatt Family, for the past few years. Chris is not only a competent vocalist but also a very seasoned musician.

Fugatt posted on Facebook this weekend, “…it’s time to turn the page and start a new chapter in my life. Since coming from behind the drums to stand behind the mic I have always sang with my family The Fugatt Family. But with lots of prayers and support from family and friends, God has presented a new path for our lives.”

Group manager Steve Dover stated, “Chris seemed like a perfect fit for CVQ. When Jacob (Dover) resigned the position earlier I wasn’t sure what we were going to do. A lot of people can sing, and sing well, but the baritone position is not an easy one to tackle. It doesn’t garner the glamour and glory that the other three positions get but you sure do notice when they are absent. Chris comes to us with tons of experience from singing with his family. He filled in for a short time and I told the guys that I thought we didn’t need to look any further for our next member. Chris graciously accepted our offer and we look forward to a long and distinguished relationship with him. Oh, and he comes with his family’s blessing – including mom! This was huge!”

Be looking for new things coming from Clearvision Quartet in the coming days. For more information you can find them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/clearvisionquartet. You can also find their schedule of upcoming events on their Facebook page as well as www.gospelgigs.com/clearvisionquartet.

Change for ClearVision Quartet

Written by scoopsnews on December 19, 2016 – 8:27 am -

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

There’s an old classic Gospel song that says “Time has made a change in me” and nowhere is change more evident than in the lives of Gospel singers. Such is the case today.

Clearvision Quartet from Oxford, AL announces the resignation of tenor vocalist Tony Sheppard. Tony, who has been with the group almost 4 years, advised the group recently that he would be stepping down. Along with vocal duties, Tony was also responsible for running the sound during concerts and was an instant crowd favorite everywhere the group sings.

Group manager and lead vocalist Steve Dover had this to say about Tony’s departure. “Tony and I sat down recently and discussed his desire to come off the road in an effort to become more grounded in a local church and to spend more time with his wife and 3 children. I told him that faith and family come before ministry and to do what he felt God was telling him to do.” Dover added, “I’ve been where Tony is right now and it’s not an easy place to exist. Your mind wants to keep on singing but your heart tells you it’s time to slow down and be there for your family. I respect his decision to put his family above everything else. I’m excited to see what God has in store for the Sheppard’s in the weeks and years ahead.”

In conclusion, Dover responded, “Keep CVQ in your prayers that God will send us who we need, when we need him. If life has taught me anything it’s that nothing catches God by surprise. His will for this ministry is all we’ve ever sought and today is no different. God will provide.”

Tony’s last weekend will be January 14th and 15th with appearances in Arab, AL and Delta, AL. Clearvision will enlist the help of several friends to help with their scheduled services until a permanent replacement is selected. Also, the group’s current recording project will be put on hold until a replacement is named.

To be considered for the tenor vocalist position with Clearvision Quartet, submit a brief resume, photo and demo to steve.cvq@gmail.com.

Tonight’s concert is to help with expenses during the families stay in the hospital.

Chris Connell and his daughters, Hannah and Heather are here.

Chris has a report on his wife:
