The Lore Family releases Hidden Blessings and shares their faith

Written by Staff on October 16, 2019 – 2:45 pm -

The Lore Family releases Hidden Blessings and shares their faithArden, North Carolina (October 11, 2019) — On their latest album Hidden Blessings, The Lore Family (website HERE)  acknowledges the vastness of God’s love and shares what wonders can be experienced with a little faith. The album, produced by Wayne Haun, is now available from Horizon Records.

Hidden Blessings begins with “Didn’t He Promise,” which sets the tone for the album, reminding us that God will always come through with mercy and grace, every time for all of time. The theme of the Lord’s timelessness in other songs, including “That Same Power,” recognizing God’s everlasting influence on our lives; “The Rock That Never Ages,” detailing how a firm foundation in the Lord provides comfort and safety; and “The Blood Flows From Calvary Still,” the album’s closing track and a powerful moment of worship featuring Sandy Lore.

On the album’s first single, “His Cross Is Now Empty,” The Lore Family tells the story of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, praising and rejoicing in Him rising to new life, singing, “Now the cross is empty and so is the grave / The lamb slain for sinners arose the third day / Glory hallelujah our debt has been paid / His cross is now empty and so is the grave.”

Fayth Lore takes the lead on two up-beat tracks that capture the joy and happiness a relationship with God can bring. “I’ve Got A Really Good Feeling” tells of the peace and hope one feels after accepting Jesus as their savior. “Ready To Know,” their second radio single, talks about being prepared to see the glory of Heaven.

The group creates quiet moments throughout the album with “In His Presence,” a soft and reflective song about strength for the weary, featuring Samuel Lore; and “Keep Praying,” about leaning into God no matter what’s going on in life.

Written by Darren Lore, the title track, on which he takes the lead, explains we can’t know healing without pain or victory without battles. “Through every testing / Hidden blessings are coming our way,” Darren sings of what will happen when fear is replaced with faith.

On this album, The Lore Family shares their unshakable faith, detailing the peace, joy and hope it brings them. By sharing this message with their audiences, The Lore Family continues to grow their ministry with authentic music.

Arden, North Carolina (October 11, 2019) — Sonlite Records artists the Down East Boys, 11th Hour and Master's Voice have released Christmas albums sharing the true meaning of Christmas and celebrating the season. All three are now available. Down East Boys, Comfort And Joy The Down East Boys are sharing the nativity story on Comfort And Joy, their Christmas EP featuring classic songs, smooth harmonies and a high-energy medley. The voices of lead Ricky Carden, baritone Daryl Paschal, bass Zac Barham and tenor Doug Pittman set the tone for a season of rejoicing. Beginning with the title track, this collection reminds that Christmas is about celebrating Christ’s birth and the joy and salvation it brought — and still brings us. The lyrics of “Comfort And Joy” say each year, Jesus makes the weary world rejoice, and we should praise Him. “Glorious Impossible” follows, recounting the miraculous nativity story, telling us to open our hearts and souls to receive His love. The Down East Boys’ rendition of the classic “Little Drummer Boy” is joyful in its message. With happy hearts, we can serve Jesus with whatever gifts we have, no matter how small they seem. The collection also features an up-beat, quartet version of “Children Go Where I Send Thee” and a Celtic feel to the old world tune “Wexford Carol.” Comfort And Joy closes with “Carol Of The Bells Medley,” a festive, high-energy song that shows the Down East Boys’ vocal talent. The voices come together to create a moving medley, that ends on the note, “Christmas is here!” Listen to Comfort And Joy HERE. 11th Hour, The Greatest Gift Capturing the wonder and awe of the Christmas season, 11th Hour’s The Greatest Gift features familiar, up-beat and joyful songs that spread the news of Christ’s birth. With soprano Amber Eppinette taking lead, the song sets the tone of joyful anticipation and celebration during Christmas. Alto Jaquita Lindsey sings lead on the somber “What Child Is This,” sharing the Biblical story of Christmas and inspiring reverence toward the miraculous birth of Christ. On “Home For The Holidays,” “Christmas Medley - Winter Wonderland, Sleigh Ride, White Christmas,” and “Go Tell It On The Mountain,” tenor Logan Smith’s fresh lead vocals bring holiday cheer and excitement on these traditional Christmas songs. “Joy To The World” embraces the overwhelming happiness Earth felt when Christ was born, while “O Holy Night” is a moment of stillness for quiet worship. The album closes with the title track, written by Allan Eppinette. It’s a moving reminder that God sending Jesus to die for our sins and bring salvation will be the greatest gift we ever receive. The 3 Heath Brothers bring youthful energy and a distinctive sound to Who We Are

Written by Staff on October 3, 2019 – 7:37 am -

The 3 Heath Brothers bring youthful energy and a distinctive sound to Who We AreArden, North Carolina (October 2, 2019) — The next generation of Gospel Music artists have arrived, with powerful voices and a calling to spread God’s word. The 3 Heath Brothers (website HERE) are award-winning teenagers who have taken their talents into new territory with creative arrangements, song choice and production for their new Horizon Records release, Who We Are, making an impressive statement about their music, mission and beliefs. The album is now available for pre-order ahead of its November 22 release date.

Nicholas, Clayton and Christian Heath are North Carolina natives, whose parents raised them in faith. Their mother taught them to sing blended harmonies at an early age. Now, their powerful vocals and youthful energy have been melded into a new, distinctive sound.

“The 3 Heath Brothers are so talented that they can sing any style of music, but their heart is in sharing the gospel message through their music. We wanted this project to really speak to who they are — three young Christian men who are excited about sharing their unique musical style that showcases their passion for the gospel,” says Roger Talley, who produced Who We Are. “They appeal to every generation, and I feel this project does the same. I am excited for you to discover who The 3 Heath Brothers are.”

Who We Are shows the talent and beliefs of the brothers. There’s verve in their harmony in “Dream Small,” fierce vocal delivery in “Shaking in His Shoes” and reverent passion in “Give it To Jesus.”

The album includes covers of Contemporary Christian songs like “No Matter What” and “Self Less,” which are testaments of the 3 Heath Brothers’ reliance on God through trials and their desire to serve Him through their actions.

These songs, along with the inspirational pop notes of “Smell of Smoke” and “This is Who I Am” all come together to present the wide range of music the Heath Brothers can bring to the Gospel genre.

Other notable tracks include “I Believe You,” a song with an epic arrangement and powerful delivery about trusting in the Lord; “Mother’s Day Song,” a loving tribute to the sacrifices mothers make to raise their children; and “Give It To Jesus,” an original song written by Nicholas Heath.

“Most of our songs were not picked because they are fun — even though some of them are. They were chosen for the truth of the words. The songs on this album are words that we believe and that we want other people to carry with them. We don’t have songs to waste,” say the 3 Heath Brothers. “We are three energetic teenage boys that love to sing and have fun. We love people and love God and want to do our best to give Him 100%. We want to show that you can still have fun while being a Christian.”

Pre-order Who We Are HERE.

About 3 Heath Brothers

The 3 Heath Brothers are teenagers, Nicholas, Clayton, & Christian Heath from Thomasville, NC. They have been singing together as long as they can remember. Their mom, taught them to sing parts from a very early age and their dad is the Senior Pastor at Faith Community Chapel in Thomasville, NC.

When these young guys get up to sing, people are consistently shocked by their tight harmony, powerful vocals, and a cappella arrangements. In the summer of 2018, they won the Grand Champion Trophy at the NC State Annual Singing Convention. They recently performed at Dollywood, Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove, and are Main Stage artists at Singing in the Sun 2019 and the Gatlinburg Gathering 2019.

Audiences won’t want to miss their young energy and passion for God. They love God and their goal is to promote Christ and demonstrate that you are never too young to give all you have to God.

“To be signed as a Crossroads writer seems too good to be true! It’s almost unbelievable to me. For decades I never allowed anyone to hear a song that I had written. My insecurities kept my music hidden. I didn’t work on developing my writing skills,” says Darren. “But, the Lord graciously helped me overcome my stronghold of negativity. Through Christ, I was able to align my thoughts with His plans. In 2007, at the age of forty, I recorded and released my first original, ‘An Absolutely Good Day.'”

Greg Bentley

CrossroadsGreg Bentley adds, “As director of publishing for Crossroads Gospel Publishing catalogs, I’m always keeping my eyes and ears open for writers in hopes of finding new ones that fit into our team. We have a wonderful family put together with a great mixture in styles that they write. Darren loves to write straight ahead Southern Gospel style, so he will be a big asset in that area. Adding him just made sense, especially since we just signed his family to our Horizon Records label. When you have writers in groups, we like to keep it all under one umbrella, and Darren will be a welcome addition to our roster of writers.”

Crossroads publishing writers on the Gospel side include Amber Eppinette, Jaquita Lindsey and Logan Smith of 11th Hour, Mark Bishop, Jeff Treece of Sunday Drive, Matt Rankin of Soul’d Out, Josh Jordan from The Jordan Family Band and The Wisecarvers. Additional, non-touring writers for Crossroads include Sandy Knight, Rodney Birch, Dixie Phillips, Sharon Phillips, Regina Walden, Bev Herrema, Ray Scarbrough, Chris Binion, Karen Gillespie, Todd Wright, Matthew Lawson and Lynn Robbins.

Arden, North Carolina (August 27, 2019) — Over the past several years, The Lore Family (website HERE) have built up their ministry, spreading God’s word through song and using their talents to serve. After finding success as an independent artist, the family has now signed with Horizon Records to release new music.

The Lore Family, consisting of Darren, Sandy and their two children, Fayth and Samuel, says the decision to join the Crossroads family was made prayerfully and with much counsel.

“Once again, God has ordered the steps of our family. Over the past decade, He has allowed our paths to cross with many talented people. And, we have formed relationships with people who have truly wanted to see our ministry succeed. In God’s perfect timing, He has brought people in our lives to help us reach the next level,” says Darren Lore. “And, this is why we are honored and humbled to be joining the Horizon Records label. We believe that we have joined a stellar, professional, ministry-driven team. The family at Crossroads are some of the best in the industry. And, we believe that this is going to be a great, long-lasting relationship.”

The Lore Family

Crossroads’ Greg Bentley adds that he’s heard The Lore Family’s songs on SiriusXM enLighten and watched them climb the charts. After meeting the family, he says they’re a great fit with Horizon’s roster of artists.

“We strive to not just load up labels because someone wants to record with us. We look into who they are and what they’ve done, but mostly what kind of people they are,” says Bentley. “I knew when we sat down with the whole family to meet that they have a focus on ministry and doing things in a first-class way. It is our goal to take the foundation they have laid and build upon that to take some of the load off them so they can truly focus on the ministry side sharing Jesus through song.”

The Lore Family‘s upcoming album, Hidden Blessings, produced by Wayne Haun, will be released October 11 on Horizon Records.

About The Lore Family

The Lore Family consists of Darren, Sandy and their two children, Fayth and Samuel. Over the past several years, The Lore Family, which calls Portsmouth, Ohio home, has ministered at hundreds of services, making sure each concert or ministry opportunity is fulfilled with excellence and authenticity. The Lores began their ministry traveling in the tri-state region of Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia, but have now traveled across the United States, singing a mix of classic and current Southern Gospel favorites as well as originals written by Darren. The Lores have sung on many well-known stages across the country, including those at the National Quartet Convention, Gatlinburg Gathering Showcase, Singing In The Sun Showcase, Gospel Music Showcase TV, Great American Gospel TV, Gospel Music USA TV, Dollywood, Silver Dollar City and more. Their radio releases have been consistently in the top 20 of the Singing News Chart, and are played regularly on satellite stations such as Sirius XM’s enLighten. Fans voting in the Singing News Fan Awards have voted The Lore Family in the top 5 category for Favorite New Mixed Group for 2 consecutive years. Although charts and awards are honoring, The Lore Family understands that these things come and go. Their main purpose for radio/TV ministry is to give a message of hope and encouragement to seekers and believers. As the Lord blesses, The Lore Family will continue to record and release quality, anointed Southern Gospel Music.

Lauren Talley joins the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame Nominations Committee

Written by Staff on September 4, 2019 – 2:27 pm -

Lauren Talley joins the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame Nominations CommitteeArden, North Carolina (September 4, 2019) — On the heels of two new releases, Lauren Talley (website HERE) has joined the Gospel Music Association Hall Of Fame Nominations Committee, joining a prestigious list of industry veterans and fellow artists.

In her role,  Lauren Talley will help choose Hall Of Fame candidates from the Southern Gospel industry for GMA voters’ consideration. The other committee members are Ed Harper (The Harper Agency), Dusty Wells (New Day), Charlotte Ritchie (artist), Elliott McCoy (artist), Gerald Crabb (songwriter), Becky Isaacs Bowman (artist), and Rick Sandridge (industry).

The 2020 class will be announced January 15, 2020 with the official GMA Hall of Fame induction ceremony taking place May 6, 2020.

“I love history, and I want to be part of it. The icons of this music poured so much into me as a young artist, and to be able to help honor them and publicly appreciate what they’ve accomplished is quite an honor for me,” Talley says.

In August, Talley released two collections of music inspiring heartfelt worship and praise of the Lord. Each features her powerful and soulful voice.

Lauren Talley: Loudest Praise: Hymns of Mercy, Love And Grace.Talley brings her talent to beloved hymns, reminding of their timelessness and eloquence for worship on Loudest Praise: Hymns of Mercy, Love And Grace.

The album begins with the hopeful “Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing,” and Talley inspires awe of Christ with her vocals. Serving as inspiration for the album’s title, this hymn sings of God’s never-ceasing mercy and grace.

Other hymns include “When God Dips His Love In My Heart,” “When I Survey The Wondrous Cross,” “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” and “Does Jesus Care.” Loudest Praise closes with the first single, “His Eye Is On The Sparrow.”

Talley’s voice fits the power of the cherished hymn’s lyrics, as the song builds to a mighty end.

Lauren Talley Glorious God: Songs of WorshipOn Glorious God: Songs of Worship and Wonder, Talley captures the awe Christ inspires on this album of some of today’s most loved worship songs, beginning with the first song which inspired the title.

“Glorious God” shares the creation story and recognizes all God created to give us the lives we live. It’s a reminder that God’s presence is all around, everywhere we go.

Other songs include “What A Beautiful Name/Agnus Dei,” with Talley backed by the Voices of Lee Choir; “Let The Glory Come Down,” featuring Amber Eppinette and Chris Allman; “Mercy Tree,” “The Heavens Are Telling,” “Jesus At The Center” and “Jesus Only Jesus.”

Glorious God closes with “A Wretch Like Me,” a worship song penned by Talley and based on the lyrics of “Amazing Grace.”

While the music of these two albums is different in feeling, both accomplish the same thing: A moving sense of God’s presence and His role in our lives.

About Lauren Talley
Lauren Talley is one of Christian music’s most dynamic talents and has inspired a generation of young people to serve the Lord.

Born into a rich musical heritage, Lauren sang her first solo at age 2 when she toddled onto the stage, interrupted her family’s concert and announced she wanted to “thing.” Lauren went on to make her own mark on the gospel music world as a member of her family group, The Talleys, with whom she received numerous awards, including a 2015 Dove Award for their song, “Hidden Heroes.” Lauren’s lead vocals shine on eleven number one hits for the group.

She has recorded five solo albums, her most recent being the highly touted 2017 release, “The Gospel,” which displays her skills as singer, producer, and songwriter. She is also the author of “Songs In The Night,” a companion devotional book to her 2010 album of the same title. Lauren performs solo concerts and is a featured singer and speaker for many women’s conferences and special events across the country. She is frequently recognized for her appearances on numerous Gaither Homecoming videos and concerts, RFD-TV’s “The Music City Show” and “In Touch” with Dr. Charles Stanley. In 2014 she was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Worship Arts from John Wesley University.

When not traveling or recording her own music, Lauren often serves as studio background singer and producer for other recordings and works with emerging artists as a voice and performance coach. Lauren is a busy lady but always finds time to cheer on her beloved Tennessee Volunteers, drink sweet tea and spend time laughing with family and friends.

“My job as a communicator is to give people the truth of the Gospel,” Lauren says. “I want people to know that Jesus is everything – He’s the Answer the world is searching for, He’s the solution to all problems and He’s the only One in whom we have real hope. He called me to give people His message when I was 12 years old, and fulfilling that call is all I’ve ever really wanted.”

The Carolina Boys Quartet shares unshakable faith on Take A Stand

Written by Staff on August 20, 2019 – 12:28 pm -

The Carolina Boys Quartet shares unshakable faith on Take A StandArden, North Carolina (August 20, 2019) — On their upcoming album Take A Stand, The Carolina Boys Quartet (visit their website HERE) sings about the power of unshakable faith. When darkness and fear set in, a steadfast belief in what scripture tells us God will do is all we need to keep moving forward. The album, which will be released October 11, is now available for pre-order.

Take A Stand, the group’s fifth release with Crossroads Music begins with “I’m Traveling On,” a ‘true to the traditional’ Southern Gospel quartet song about not letting worldly temptations distract you along the path to heaven. It’s followed by “What You’re Going To Do,” which encourages praising God while waiting for Him to act in His timing because the promise of help is certain.

The Carolina Boys Quartet shares more songs about following God’s guiding hand through life on “The Hand of the Lord,” “One Step At A Time,” and “Claim the Promises,” all reiterating that faith is the most important resource we have throughout life.

The title track, “Take A Stand,” encourages us to hold our ground in the promises of Christ, where we’ll be safe and secure through struggles and trials.

“Take a Stand, stand firm
Hold fast to God’s holy word
Have faith, be strong
For it will not be very long,
Til the mighty hand of the Lord will deliver you once more
Safe and secure
Take a stand on his word.”

Let It Be The Cross,” “They Never Were The Same,” and “To Save My Life,” tell of the lasting legacy of Christ’s time on Earth and His resurrection. With moving music, these songs inspire reverence and worship.

Other tracks include, “Dig A Well,” about finding renewal for the spirit; “Somebody Somewhere,” about being a witness for Christ and bringing others to His word; and “You’ve Already Forgotten,” about God’s unending mercy.

The album closes with “Faith Works,” a musically stripped-down production with only piano and keys supporting the vocals reminding us that by just having belief alone, we’ll be saved by grace.

“We are celebrating 10 years of ministry this year, and have been blessed to be with Crossroads from the very beginning,” says Chuck Lowe, The Carolina Boys Quartet’s lead singer. “We believe this new project is our best yet, with powerful songs written by some of the best writers in the business.”

Carolina BoysProducer Jeff Collins adds, “Integrity and sincerity are two descriptions that come first to my mind when enjoying the music of The Carolina Boys Quartet. Each member of this seasoned quartet offers their excellent vocal abilities to this upcoming release from Skyland. Each year I really look forward to and enjoy the process of building great songs with these guys. You will so enjoy this selection of music!”

Pre-order Take A Stand HERE.

Arden, North Carolina (July 22, 2019) — With years of experience as a producer and awarded Southern Gospel artist with his group, The Talleys, Roger Talley brings his expertise to Crossroads Music as he joins the A&R team with a focus on artists on the Horizon, Sonlite, and Skyland labels.

“I am excited to join the A&R team at Crossroads and thank Chris White and Mickey Gamble for giving me this opportunity. I have worked with them for several years as part of The Talleys and on recording projects by other artists,” says Talley. “I am looking forward to working with the incredible staff and sharing my years of experience in recording and artist development with some of today’s most talented up and coming Southern Gospel artists.”

Talley, an East Tennessee native, is an accomplished pianist, producer, and arranger. He began playing piano at a young age and joined The Hoppers after graduating from college. After that, he launched The Talleys with his brother Kirk and wife Debra, which took the Southern Gospel industry by storm and became one of the most sought after mixed groups in the genre with their groundbreaking arrangements. The group took a break from touring in 1993, but reformed three years later and now consists of Talley, Debra and their daughter Lauren.

Also known for his work in the recording studio, Talley has produced projects for artists such as Jake Hess, Ivan Parker, The John Hagee Family, The Collingsworth Family, The Kingsmen and Lauren Talley. He’s been awarded for his achievements from the Southern Gospel Music Guild Harmony Honors in 2004 and the SGN Music Awards in 2007 for Producer of the Year. Talley is also instrumental with the Abraham Productions team that puts on some of the largest concert events in the industry (Singing In The Sun and Gatlinburg Gathering).

“I am thrilled we are bringing Roger on to our A&R team. I’ve known Roger since I was a teenager and have always had a great working relationship and friendship with him,” says Crossroads’ Greg Bentley. “As Crossroads focuses on our Horizon-Sonlite-Skyland artists, his knowledge of what can make an artist successful as they grow their ministry will be valuable to many of our upcoming artists as well as our established ones. I also know he is highly looked upon in the Gospel Music industry for his business skills and the way he relates with other artists. Bringing Roger in to work with us will leave no question where Crossroads stands on the future of the Gospel side of the overall music industry.”
