The Old Paths to perform at 2011 Fall Bible Conference

Atlanta, GA (Sept 19, 2011) – This September, the 2011 Fall Bible Conference will begin with the sounds of popular Southern Gospel quartet, The Old Paths. The Old Paths are scheduled to perform on Thursday evening, September 22, 2011, following a banquet at First Baptist Church Atlanta, hosted by Dr Charles Stanley. They will perform again on Friday afternoon, September 23, 2011. These performances will be recorded to be aired on the program at a later date. This exciting conference is sponsored by Dr Jerry Vines, of Jerry Vines Ministries & Rodney Brooks with the First Atlanta Worship Choir & Orchestra. Featured speakers include: David Allen, Adam Dooley, Franklin Graham, Junior Hill, Phil Hoskins, Paige Patterson, & Herb Reavis Jr. The list of music guests also includes Daniel Crews.
 
The Old Paths are no stranger to the Charles Stanley program, or the Fall Bible Conference having performed at both in the recent past. The Conference will be held at First Baptist Church Atlanta, on September 22-23, 2011. It will begin with the banquet on Thursday at 4:30pm, & will continue through Friday evening.

Secular Media Embracing 2011 National Quartet Convention – Annual Event Continues Through Saturday

Louisville, KY – The National Quartet Convention, which originally began in 1957 in Memphis, TN, has grown to become Christian music’s largest annual event. The seven-night musical extravaganza, taking place this week in Louisville, KY, has captured the attention of both local and national media.  The Grammy-nominated recording artist, Triumphant Quartet, was featured on Tuesday afternoon, as the Quartet represented the NQC on the popular Terry Meiners program, which airs on WHAS Radio.

On Wednesday morning, Dollywood Theme Park’s host quartet, The Kingdom Heirs were featured on Great Day Live, which airs on WHAS Channel 11, Louisville’s ABC affiliate. The quartet shared their smooth vocal stylings with listeners of the program and were interviewed by the show’s co-hosts, Terry Meiners and Rachel Platt (pictured in attached jpg with The Kingdom Heirs).

Fox News reporter, Kelly Wright was on hand at this week’s Convention, enjoying the sights and sounds, as well as interviewing featured performers and speakers, including former Attorney General John Ashcroft, who was a part of Wednesday night and Thursday morning’s programs. Wright also made a guest appearance on Tuesday evening’s line-up and delighted attendees with his energy and excitement, exceptional vocal ability and inspiring message.

The 2011 event continues through Saturday, and will feature appearances by the multi-Grammy Award winning Gaither Vocal Band, as well as Dove Award winning recording artist, The Isaacs. Both groups will appear on Friday evening’s program in Freedom Hall.

Renown author, speaker and Senior Pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church in El Cajon, CA, Dr David Jeremiah will serve as the keynote speaker on Friday, while Dr Charles Stanley, founder of In Touch Ministries, will be featured on Saturday.

Individuals unable to attend the National Quartet Convention in person have the opportunity to watch  performances taking place in Freedom Hall live, as it happens, or on demand through the NQC’s popular webcast, www.nqconlinec.com. All events taking place in Freedom Hall throughout NQC Week are available through the webcast.

National Quartet Convention In Full Swing In Louisville

Louisville, KY – The 54th Annual National Quartet Convention officially kicked off on Sunday evening, September 11 at Louisville’s Kentucky Fair & Expo Center. This special Sunday night concert event boasted attendence in excess of 2,000 people, as Southern Gospel Music lovers arriving early for the 2011 event were treated to the sounds of  multi-award winning groups, Greater Vision, The Hoppers and The Booth Brothers.

Excitement fills the air in the city of Louisville this week as Southern Gospel Music fans  from more than 40 states and at least a half dozen countries will attend the 2011 Convention. In addition to the many popular quartets, trios, duets and soloists featured throughout the week, prominent keynote speakers featured include Dr David Jeremiah, Dr Charles Stanley and former Attorney General John Ashcroft, who will be featured on Thursday.

The National Quartet Convention offers fans of Southern Gospel Music something no other event can…the convenience of “one stop shopping.” The Convention is the only event of the year where fans can see and hear their favorite groups at a single event, then meet group members and purchase music, videos and much more at any one of the 500 exhibit booths which span throughout 175,000 square feet. Southern Gospel Music lovers can enjoy their favorite music all day long, as music spectaculars begin each morning and continue until midnight each evening.

Headliners on Monday evening’s concert in Freedom Hall included Grammy nominated recording artist, Karen Peck & New River, Trumphant, The Hoppers, Gold City, as well as seven-time IBMA Group of the Year, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver.

Christmas comes early to Louisville on Tuesday, as an NQC Christmas is the theme of the day, as the day kicks off with a special bonus Christmas concert. Christmas decorations will deck the hallways of the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center. Later in the evening, Christmas sounds will ring loudly throughout Freedom Hall, as a special NQC Christmas In September music extravaganza highlights the night.

About the 2011 National Quartet Convention: This year marks the 54th Annual National Quartet Convention. The Convention has made its home in the city of Louisville since 1994. Approximately 40,000 people will attend the 2011 event, which takes place September 11-17, with at least 40 states and a half dozen foreign countries represented.
