PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (September 26, 2018) –  It was a terrific Thursday filled with music and message at NQC. The day started bright and early with morning chapel service as the Mark Trammell Quartet and Mike Speck led the crowd in worship, followed by a message from one of the most dynamic preachers today, C.T. Townsend.
Moving forward into the day, Dennis Swanberg gave convention-goers a laugh-break with his comedy.

Next up was Bill Gaither and his Homecoming Friends, filling the LeConte Center with classic songs made popular on the Gaither videos.

The evening concerts were hosted by Josh Franks. Tonight’s performers were: Gaither Vocal Band, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, Hoppers, Legacy Five, Jonathan Wilburn, Gold City, Ball Brothers, Greater Vision, Tribute Quartet, Mark Trammell Quartet, Jim Brady Trio, Dr. David Jeremiah, Primitive Quartet, Three Bridges, Kingdom Heirs. Power half-hour performances by Tim Menzies, Torchmen, Jordan Family Band, Debra Perry & Jaidyn’s Call
Among tonight’s highlights were the classic harmony of the Gaither Vocal Band, and the comedy of Bill Gaither and his sidekick, Kevin Williams and the moving testimony of Josh Townsend – pianist for Legacy Five – as he told of suffering abuse at the hands of his father in the womb before he was even born. The abuse left his twin dead before birth and Josh suffered a stroke before being delivered. Due to this, doctors told his mother that he would never have use of his left hand, to which Josh testified tonight – “they were wrong.” The crowd – with tears streaming down their face – gave Townsend a standing ovation after he performed the song, “God’s Been Good.”

  • Blazing Pianos
  • Dr. David Jeremiah
  • Matinee Extravaganza

NQC – the National Quartet Convention – was founded in 1957 by gospel music legend and former backup vocalist for Elvis Presley, J.D. Sumner who co-produced the event with James Blackwood. The annual convention was moved in later years to Nashville, TN and then to Louisville, KY where it was held for 20 years.

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound Deliver Clear Skies

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound Deliver Clear Skies

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound Deliver Clear Skies

Nashville, TN – Grammy® nominated and multi-award winning group Ernie Haase & Signature Sound are delivering a stellar forecast of exceptional music with the release of their brand new project today.

Clear Skies, the first recording of new material in almost three years from the lauded group, is available now – in stores and via digital outlets.
The new release is especially meaningful right now, as just a few weeks ago, Tara Younce – sister of Ernie’s wife, Lisa – passed away from cancer. In the midst of preparing for one of the beloved group’s most hopeful releases, Ernie and his family were dealing with a very private pain. As they were starting to promote the new release, Ernie took time off to reflect and grieve with his family.
In his first interview since Tara’s passing, Ernie opens up to Faithwire’s Billy Hallowell in an interview published today. Click here to read the article.
The highly-anticipated release, on Haase’s own StowTown Records/Provident Distribution, features inspirational and encouraging themes set to out-of-the-box musical moments and masterful production. This release delivers a cornucopia of musical styles and themes from the modern “My Hallelujah” to the 1975 Imperials classic arrangement of “Give Them All To Jesus” to the fresh and appealing “Sailing With Jesus.”
This recording is already resonating with listeners and exceeding expectations – the first single, “Give Me Jesus,” hit #2 on the national radio charts while the concept video has exceeded half a million views across social media. The second single, “Clear Skies,” has just been released to radio and is being well-received.
Clear Skies is avaiable at your local Christian retailer, iTunes, Amazon and wherever you find your favorite music – and always at www.ErnieHaase.com!

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound Release Favorite Hymns of Fanny Crosby

(Nashville, TN)… Ernie Haase & Signature Sound along with StowTown Records are thrilled to announce the release of their brand new memorial project, The Favorite Hymns of Fanny Crosby. In an album dedicated to one of the greatest hymnists in American history, the quartet is proud to release this special album in honor of her unlimited contributions and dedication to gospel music.

“This was a labor of love for the songs and love for the lady who wrote them, Fanny J. Crosby. She died in 1915 and left us with over 8,000 songs that still fill our churches with a script for praise and worship,” said Ernie Haase. “Personally, I have loved her songs since I was a kid. When there was a Spirit-filled, wonder-filled moment in our church growing up, it always seemed we were singing Fanny Crosby songs.”

Well-known hymns like “Jesus Keep Me Near The Cross”, “Blessed Assurance”, “Pass Me Not – O Gentle Savior” and “Tell Me The Story Of Jesus” are each highlighted selections on the project, although it obviously wasn’t easy to narrow down the endless list of classics.

“It was very hard. We actually have released a songbook to go along with this project,” noted Haase. “We put 20 of her most beloved hymns in the songbook. I hope to do a Volume Two CD one day and cover those songs we did not get to record this time around.”

Crosby’s bio is one of the most intriguing in our country’s history, a story that Haase happily reminisces about.
“She became blind at six weeks old. Her grandmother was her eyes, teaching her about nature, animals and the Bible,” he added. “Her poems and writings were sought after by Presidents and Congressmen. She addressed the U.S. Congress, was a friend of many U.S. Presidents, was a champion for the blind and poor, and served in several missions throughout New York City where she lived most of her life.”
Crosby had a special gift for songwriting and passing on that gift to others through the music.
“I love the way she painted a picture with her words. Knowing that she was blind and never visibly saw these images leads me to think God showed her through Faith things that only Faith can see,” said Haase.
Haase is excited about the future possibilities with numerous lyrics that Crosby left to enjoy.
There are over 2,400 unpublished lyrics that have recently been uncovered and, along with my producer Wayne Haun, I am looking to put new music to these and release these songs through the artists on our label, StowTown Records. The potential is unlimited!!! I really think there is something special here.”
The Favorite Hymns of Fanny Crosby is currently available on Amazon and iTunes on the digital market and  at Christian retail stores everywhere.

(Nashville, TN)…StowTown Records’ popular quartet, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, is thrilled to announce the release of Happy People.

The new project has continued to remain in the Top 10 of SoundScan since its release in early May.
Group founder and longtime tenor, Ernie Haase, says he hopes the album motivates and inspires people all over the world.
“I hope to inspire others with our music to not only be “Happy People” but to get in the game and follow their dreams no matter how small their beginnings.”
EHSS recently showcased Happy People with an hour-long

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound

“takeover” at Solid Gospel, visiting with host deejay Gregg Hutchins who played several selections from the new project during his live morning show.

Later in the day, the group performed in front of a live audience at Sirius XM’s theater inside Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville. The quartet hosted a one-hour taping for Sirius XM’s EnLighten Channel. The show is currently being featured on EnLighten.
“I grew up in the small town of Newburgh, IN, and I spent each night listening to my little AM radio. That radio and it’s programs was my lifeline to the whole world,” added Haase, co-founder of StowTown Records. “So, after all these years, to be able to host/perform on a radio show for Sirius XM Radio was beyond cool for me.” The group took questions from fans via Facebook and Twitter and performed several selections from Happy People. Performances included the upbeat title track, “Happy People”, along with “Thank You For Saving Me” and “Jesus Changed Everything”.
In addition, the group had a touching dedication and performance of “A Soldier Fighting To Go Home”. The song, originally written by David Pike and later co-written by Joel Lindsay, won the 2011 Singing News/Solid Gospel Songwriters contest.
We performed some new material from our CD entitled Happy People and it was received very well from the studio audience that day,” said Haase. “I hope the listeners via Sirius XM satellite radio will enjoy it half as much as I did performing it that day along with Doug, Devin, Paul and Wayne. I loved ever minute of the session… I am Happy People!”
Happy People is now available online and at bookstores everywhere.

Doug Anderson STATEMENT

DOUG ANDERSON STATEMENT

DOUG ANDERSON STATEMENT

Hello friends!

Yesterday during a video announcement it was announced that ever-popular vocalist Doug Anderson would be leaving Ernie Haase & Signature Sound. Below is a statement from Doug Anderson regarding the changes. Feel free to use this statement in any coverage.
Since the news was announced yesterday, I’ve been overwhelmed at the amount of love and support shown to me. Ernie Haase is my friend and is like a brother to me. The journey with him has been an amazing one and I will never be able to repay him for all he has done for me and my family. The last 13 years have been wonderful and I am going to miss climbing on the bus every week with ALL my brothers.
This decision was not an easy one, but one that I have complete peace about. As you saw in the video, nothing is wrong, no one is mad at anyone. I want to spend more time with my wife and girls, and I want them to travel with me some. It really is as simple as that.
I am very blessed that I can forge a new path on my own because of what Ernie Haase & Signature Sound did for me – I will be forever grateful.
I can’t wait to see you on the road! Please stay in touch with me on Twitter, Facebook and my website.
I LOVE YOU ALL and I will see you soon!
Doug
