Tracy Stuffle Benefit Announced for March 19, 2013

NASHVILLE, TN (February 28, 2013) – Today, Joseph Habedank, lead vocalist for The Perrys, in partnership with Christ Church in Nashville, TN, announced a benefit concert for Tracy Stuffle, who recently suffered a massive stroke. The evening, dubbed “We Need Each Other: A Benefit for Tracy Stuffle” will take place on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, 6:00 PM (doors open at 5 PM) at Christ Church in Nashville, TN and will feature a lineup of stellar musical artists.
Tracy Stuffle – beloved bass vocalist and group owner/manager of the Perrys – has been in critical condition at a Nashville area hospital since suffering a massive stroke on January 21, 2013 while driving his vehicle in downtown Nashville, TN. All proceeds from this concert will go toward medical expenses for Tracy Stuffle.
Joining hosts Jason Crabb and Joseph Habedank will be the Oak Ridge Boys, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, Dailey & Vincent, The Hoppers, Mark Lowry, the Collingsworth Family, the Booth Brothers, The Isaacs, Gold City, The Bowlings, Karen Peck & New River and a special appearance by The Perrys.
“Tracy & Libbi Stuffle hired me when I was 17 years old. They gave me a chance when no one else would,” states Habedank. “For over 10 years, they have invested into my life and considering I have practically grown up on their bus, they’re like family to me. When this tragic event happened, I immediately called upon the friends of Tracy & Libbi to begin organizing this evening. I am asking everyone who loves Tracy & Libbi to support this evening.”

2013 Absolutely Gospel Music Award Nominees Announced

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – (January 21, 2013) – The administrators and staff of AbsolutelyGospel.com are proud to announce the nominees for the 2013 Absolutely Gospel Music Awards. As in years past, the nominees were chosen by the staff of AbsolutelyGospel.com and select media representatives. Starting on February 1, 2013, the fans will get a chance to vote for their favorites in certain categories.
“We are so excited about this year’s awards program,” mentioned Deon Unthank, President/CEO of AbsolutelyGospel.com. “Our site has seen such tremendous growth over the last two years, and we cannot wait to produce another awards show. As far as nominations go, Southern Gospel favorites The Perrys landed a stellar nine nominations this year, more than any other artist. The group earned nods for Song of the Year and Traditional Song of the Year (for “Blue Skies Coming”), Album of the Year and Traditional Album of the Year (for Through the Night), Mixed Group of the Year, and Special Event Project of the Year (for the Celebrate Me Home DVD release). In addition, reigning Female Vocalist of the Year Libbi Stuffle earned her third consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year nomination. Speaking of consecutive nominations, The Perrys’ lead vocalist/songwriter Joseph Habedank claimed his fifth consecutive nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year and sixth nod for Songwriter of the Year (Artist) (after winning the award in 2011).
Last year’s big winner The Isaacs and reigning Female Group of the Year Sisters followed behind The Perrys with an impressive eight nominations each. Sisters earned their very first nod for 2013
Pacesetter, the awards’ most prestigious honor, this year. The Isaacs’ Ben Isaacs also landed a 2013 Pacesetter nomination for his production work in 2012.
Following behind those artists was Karen Peck & New River with seven nods. In addition, Karen Peck’s solo record How You Walk the Miles earned an Album of the Year mention. Brian Free & Assurance, Mark Trammell Quartet, and the Booth Brothers all landed six nominations. Three artists received five nominations – Tribute Quartet, Collingsworth Family, and Jeff & Sheri Easter.
Triumphant Quartet and Three Bridges both earned four nominations, while several artists received triple mentions, including The Talleys, Canton Junction, Gaither Vocal Band, The Hoppers, Michael English, and The Nelons. STOWTOWN RECORDS ANNOUNCES NEW ADDITIONS TO ARTIST ROSTER

(Nashville, TN – November 7, 2012) – Ernie Haase, President of StowTown Records, proudly announces that Dove-nominated music trio, Beyond The Ashes, has signed a recording contract with StowTown Records. The news was shared on-stage during a Nashville, TN area concert featuring Ernie Haase & Signature Sound and Beyond The Ashes.
Haase commented: “On behalf of myself, Wayne Haun, and the entire staff of StowTown Records and Provident/Sony, I want to say that we are excited to announce the signing of a new and energetic group of young guys to our family. Beyond The Ashes joined the StowTown family. Beyond the Ashes epitomizes what we here at StowTown Records are all about: quality gospel music performed with class and wonderful, time-honored traditions mixed with a fresh new approach. Additionally, it was announced that Devin McGlamery has also signed a recording agreement with StowTown, and is currently in the studio recording a solo project due in 2013.

The announcement came at a recent standing-room-only appearance where Paul Harkey made his Nashville, TN debut with the group. The energy and excitement could be felt throughout the room as the audience received a “first-listen” to this talented young man. Haase says: “This was one of Paul’s very first appearances with the group and I know he was nervous but you couldn’t tell it at all! Woody Wright to Host Tornado Relief Concert for Southern Indiana Storm Victims!

ALEXANDRIA, IND. – On Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 6:00 PM, Electric Station Records artist, Woody Wright is hosting a tornado relief concert for the Southern Indiana storm victims at the Frankton High School in Frankton, Indiana. “Our hearts are absolutely broken for all of the victims,” said Wright. “We hope many will attend the concert and rally to help ease the suffering of all those affected by this terrible storm,” Wright added.
