Nashville, TN Godsey & Associates is announcing the release of a full feature film on the life of Rod Truman. Truman is an ex-basketball Coach who was changed from a “Game Winner” to a “Soul Winner”.

Though most people will never suffer the trauma that Rod went through, perhaps seeing this film will help them receive the encouragement they need to move on with the Lord.”.

Truman’s life had been consumed with basketball and coaching. When he was faced with the tragedy of life with diabetes that progressed to the debilitating state of kidney failure, he had to face life from a place he had never prepared to live. Suddenly, basketball took a back seat to just trying to survive.

He was plagued with diabetes throughout his coaching career that eventually led to total kidney failure. June 11, 1999 was a remarkable day in Rod’s life when he received a Kidney-Pancreas transplant. The procedure led to Rod’s death, but he was brought dramatically back to life. This weakness was made strong through God’s touch.

After these events, God has changed his focus from winning basketball games to winning souls. Now, he has shifted his focus from teaching plays to singing praise. His compelling, uplifting and encouraging story is one that must be heard!

‘The Choice’: Tina Wakefield releases new single to YouTube this month

Music minister from Alabaster, AL and women’s conference speaker Tina Wakefield kicked off the New Year by releasing her single ‘The Choice’ to YouTube.

The video is set in a small country church in Alabama.  The opening scene shows the familiar beloved preacher speaking to a lively congregation.  A sorrowful woman pulls into the church parking lot (played by Tina’s sister) struggling with ‘The Choice’ to surrender her life to Christ.

Godsey and Associates debuts “I Want To Be That Man” by Brian Free and Assurance

The music video to Brian Free and Assurance’s newest single “I Want To Be That Man” off the Nothing But Love project will premiere today.  It is being aired to the group’s YouTube channel which can be accessed at YouTube.com/BFAVideoBlog.

“This video helps tell the story along with the song of how a man is influenced by his father’s relationship with the Lord and of the things that really matter in life.” said Brian Free. Singing scenes were filmed on the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge in Nashville on a cold Tennessee November day.  Heather Krull, who has worked on several productions including the remake of Footloose featuring Julianne Hough, was on the scene to get the guys ready for hair and makeup.  The setup crew created a well lit scene featuring the Nashville skyline as the backdrop.

The cinematic story unfolds to a busy man (played by Clay Harris) with little time for his family and his father (played by Alan Godsey) who deeply cares for his son and prays for him daily.  Viewers watch as slowly the prayers break barriers and the son “takes a stand and leads his family as he holds the father’s hand.”  It’s heartwarming.

“I was moved when I heard I Want To Be That Man,” said producer Scott Godsey. “I knew people were going to be touched by this song. The song was written by Ricky Free and Lee Black.  Ricky, son of Brian Free, traveled as drummer with BFA for nine years, but is now a full-time studio musician, producer, and writer.

Eternity’s Crossing Release “Stand Strong” Official Music Video

Nashville – Eternity’s Crossing released “Stand Strong” produced was launched YouTube this week.  The all-female trio from West Virginia is already seeing good results from the launch, quickly reaching close to 400 views in only a few short days.

“We believe that God is going to do great things with this video” said EC vocalist Karen Meadows.  The video tells the story of a heartwrenching car accident that leaves a young teenager unable to walk.  Throughout the video is captured his struggles to keep the faith in a small tabernacle where he reaches out to God.

“The song definitely provokes emotion,” said Brittany Maxwell, Director of Media at Godsey and Associates, “People are going to like this video. The ladies do a great job at showing their hearts in it. They are some awesome ladies of faith because I can tell they believe what they are singing.”

New Covenant Trio Release “Forever and a Day” Official Music Video

Nashville — New Covenant’s “Forever and a Day” produced by Godsey and Associates was launched YouTube today.  The video was shot at several locations surrounding Nashville.

Band members Rick Campbell, Larry Rowley, and Howard Vest have been anticipating the release along with fans.  New Covenant incorporates state of the art video media in their concerts. Their music video release will serve to be a much awaited addition to their ministry presentations.

“I have to say that working on the video was one of the most exciting times of my life.  Who would ever think that something like this would be happening at this point in my life?” said lead singer Rick Campbell, “It just goes to show that we DO serve a God of second chances!”  The song carries the voice of one reflecting upon life and thanking God for the opportunity to live with freedom.  The video shows the band members at a location cutting up and sharing stories, then at a live concert setting, an old rustic abandoned house, and at a campus where Rick’s character in the video is challenged for his faith.

“Filming Forever and a Day was a fun process,” said producer Scott Godsey, “the guys have a great personality that definitely comes out in the video.”  This is the third major video release by Godsey and Associates.  The company has also produced Legacy Five’s “Ask Me Why” and Kc John’s “Silly Questions.”

Scott Godsey presents Godsey and Associates

Scott Godsey unveiled a new brand called Godsey and Associates this week.  The organization specializes in music and commercial video production, innovative internet marketing, active email distribution, and social media implementation — giving gospel artists a cutting edge way to reach audiences with a lasting impression.

Gospel fans may have already seen Godsey and Associates in action without realizing it.  The latest Legacy Five video “Ask Me Why” was produced and marketed by the company.  In one week, the video has reached to over 122,000 hits.  “It was wonderful to work with G&A for the video,” said L5’s lead singer Scott Fowler, “We are continuing to receive a great response and are happy with the results.”

Jim Sheldon’s video “I Belong to Jesus” was also put out by G&A back in December, and hit 106,000 views by February.

After years of working with record companies and traditional marketing methods, Godsey came to the conclusion that there was a quicker, more effective way to reach an audience.

“I realized the simple truth that using the internet is not only more cost effective per impression,” said Godsey, “but it allows people to stay connected with each individual after initial contact.”

In the last quarter of 2011, he started a team making music videos for Christian artists.
