McNeills to Host Isaacs in Texas!

Bonham, TX – The McNeills have announced an evening of worship featuring award winning gospel group, The Isaacs.  Both family groups will take the stage at the Love Civic Center in Paris, TX on Friday, August 24, 2018, starting at 6:30 PM.

Chris McNeill of The McNeills, hosts of the event, made the announcement today from The McNeills’ office.  “We want to create an atmosphere that is family friendly and cultivates an atmosphere of worship,” proclaimed McNeill.  “There will be a great mix of Bluegrass Country, traditional Southern Gospel, family harmony and much to smile about.  The Love Civic Center is the perfect location to bring music fans.  We are very excited to provide an opportunity for young and old,” McNeill added.

Ben Isaacs, of The Isaacs, produced The McNeills latest project, Right in the Middle.  Michelle McNeill, matriarch of the group and mandolin player, stated, “We felt like God orchestrated this entire album, putting all of the pieces together, and was literally “Right In The Middle of It All”.  Ben is considered one of Nashville’s finest producers.  When he agreed to work with us, we were sure God had provided the best.”

The Isaacs are a Grammy® award nominated group that brings a unique style that blends tight family harmony with contemporary acoustic instrumentation.  They frequently perform to large audiences at the Grand Ole Opry, Gaither Homecoming Tour, and international dates throughout the year.

The McNeills, also affectionately known as “The Silo Singers”, are quickly rising onto the Christian music scene.  They are garnering attention with appearances at Abraham Production events in Myrtle Beach, SC and Gatlinburg, TN, as well as performing during the Dollywood Gospel Fest in Pigeon Forge, TN.  “The McNeills have a special ability to bridge the generation gap.  I like to say that they are many and they are mighty!  It was an honor to push them to new abilities.  The Isaacs are honored to share the stage with them in Texas,” proclaimed Ben Isaacs.

The Year Of Jubilee: A Conversation with Lily Isaacs of the Isaacs

The Isaacs Partner With New Day Christian Distributors for Release of Nature's Symphony in 432

The Isaacs Release Nature’s Symphony in 432

By Justin Gilmore

The Isaacs have been a mainstay in Gospel and Bluegrass music for years. This acclaimed family has captivated audiences with their harmony and musicianship. Most importantly their hearts for God are truly apparent. I recently had the pleasure to talk with matriarch Lily Isaacs about the group’s career and their recent Grammy-nominated album, Nature’s Symphony in 432: A Journey from Pain to Praise.

Gilmore:  Tell me about the formation of the group, the early days.

Isaacs: Well, the Isaacs started with myself and my kids’ father Joe Isaacs, who’s my ex-husband. We started singing in 1971 after we got saved. We had a

band at the time and we performed just on weekends because we had full time jobs. And as time went on and we got busier, we went into full time ministry in 1986.

As our children were teenagers, they showed a lot more interest in music and so as one band member would leave, the kids would take their place. Sonya was the first one, taking up the position of the mandolin and then Ben went on bass, and then Becky went to the guitar. So it wasn’t really a plan, it just happened that way. So today we are an all-family band and we also have a drummer and my grandson Levi, who now plays guitar for us as well.

Terry Bradshaw Shares Stage With The Isaacs

Written by SGN Scoops Staff on April 27, 2015 – 10:46 pm -

Isaacs

Isaacs

Nashville, Tenn  Just a few short days ago, former NFL Superstar Terry Bradshaw, joined the Isaacs on stage to perform the classic Gospel song “What A Day That Will Be” in Pollok, Texas.

His appointment got canceled in Louisiana, so he decided to drive a few miles to Texas to hear the Isaacs. Not only did Terry show up, but he also brought his 86 year old Mother and his lovely wife, Tammy. Bradshaw garnered a huge laugh when he asked the question “How many singers get the Isaacs to open for them?”

No stranger to the singing microphone, as Terry Bradshaw recorded several Gospel albums in the 1980s, he comfortably picked up the mic and related that he sang this song a several weeks earlier in Hawaii. With that, the Isaacs started strumming their instruments, Terry grabbed his cheat sheet and they were off and running with a great rendition of this classic song.

Lily Isaacs commented, “It’s so strange that people who are legends in their own right would say they are a “Fan” of the Isaacs. We have known Terry for several years and are always pleased to be with him and his family. Terry is not ashamed of his Christianity in a broadcast world where it is not common.”

The video has had over 4 million views and can be seen on the Isaacs FaceBook page with this link:

The Isaacs also recently performed at the Southern Gospel Music Guild’s Harmony Honor Awards program. The group performed one song penned by each honoree, Rusty Goodman and Dottie Rambo.
