The award-winning couple is working this week at Ocean Way studio in Nashville.
“We are so excited to be creating some new music,” Sheri said. “We are working with some of Nashville’s finest musicians.”
The couple is producing along with Greg Cole and for the first time their son Madison joins the production team.
Madison debuted as a co-producer for his sister Morgan Easter’s “Not Without Love” released last November.
Sheri said one of the coolest moments so far is recording a remake of one of her mother Polly’s tunes – Mahalia Jackson’s “Standing Here Wondering.” Polly performed with the legendary Hall of Fame members The Lewis Family of Lincolnton, Ga.
Jeff said he is adding several favorites of his to the new project including the old hymn “I Won’t Have To Worry Anymore” he plans to perform with his dad, James Easter of the North Carolina’s Easter Brothers.
The song is special to the both of them because it was playing as Jeff’s mama passed away last August, Sheri said.
“I will also be cutting a brand new tune by songwriters Wayne Haun and Joel Lindsay,” Jeff said. “These guys and Sheri previously wrote our songs ‘Hear My Heart’ and ‘Born To Climb.’” Jeff said he plans to feature a new tune by Joseph Habedank of The Perrys.
Morgan said she will bring new life to one of her parent’s previous successes – “I Wonder If He Ever Cries.”
Sheri and Madison co-wrote a new tune for the project – “I Know How It Feels To Survive.”
Sheri said this song is especially poignant since she will soon be celebrating four years cancer free in July since her battle with breast cancer.
The project is expected for release later this year.
The group has won two Grammy nominations, six GMA Dove Awards, 15 Singing News Fan Awards, three Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music Association Awards, two International Country Gospel Music Association honors, 16 Voice Awards, four Southern Gospel Music Fan Fair Awards, five SGN Scoops Diamond Awards, four Hearts Aflame Awards and three Cash Box Awards.Among their best known hits are “Thread of Hope,” “Roses Will Bloom Again,” “Speak to the Mountain” “Praise His Name,” and “Born to Climb.” They are regulars of the Gaither Homecoming video series and tours, sharing their music on over 15 million videos sold.Their latest CD “ Silver Anniversary” from SpringHill Records, available from iTunes and retail stores, honors their 25 years of marriage, music and love.

Two-time GRAMMY ® Award nominees and six-time GMA DOVE Award winners Jeff & Sheri Easter are scheduled to appear on “The Marty Stuart Show.” The program, to be recorded in Nashville on Jan. 23, will be aired at a later date on the RFD-TV network. A household name among Gospel music lovers, Jeff & Sheri will be performing their DOVE-nominated song “Workin’ on a Road,” the duo’s rendition of this classic Lester Flatt tune found on their current project, “Expecting Good Things.” Marty and his wife, acclaimed vocalist Connie Smith, along with the show’s host, Eddie Stubbs, all joined Jeff & Sheri for the recording of the song on the “Expecting Good Things” release. “We asked Marty to sing with us on this song because of his early years traveling with Lester Flatt and his obvious love for this music,” stated Jeff. “The longer I sing, the more I appreciate being able to make great music with such talented artists,” described Sheri. “Performing alongside such legends seems to not only broaden my abilities as performer, but it also enriches the emotion attached to each lyric.” For show times and guest appearance details, visit www.rfdtv.com . Louisville, KY- The 54th Annual National Quartet Convention officially
concluded on Saturday, September 17, following six days and seven nights filled with memorable moments, special reunions, local and national television exposure and more than 75 hours of music, music and more music. The event kicked off on Sunday evening, September 11 at Louisville’s Kentucky Fair & Expo Center and continued throughout the week, as Southern Gospel Music fans from more than 40 states and at least a half dozen countries traveled to the city of Louisville, KY, for the 2011 Convention. In addition to the many popular quartets, trios, duets and soloists featured throughout the week, prominent keynote speakers included Dr David Jeremiah, Dr Charles Stanley and former
Attorney General John Ashcroft, as well as Fox New Correspondent, Kelly Wright.
The National Quartet Convention, which first began in 1957 in Memphis, TN, offers fans of Southern Gospel Music the convenience of seeing and hearing their favorite groups at a single event, as well as meeting those favorites, purchasing their music, videos and much more at any one of the 500 exhibit booths which span throughout 175,000 square feet. Southern Gospel Music lovers enjoy their favorite music all day long, as music spectaculars begin each morning and continue until nearly midnight each evening, with performances by such popular and multi-award winning recording artists as The Gaither Vocal Band, Jason Crabb, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, The Booth Brothers, The Hoppers, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, The Isaacs, and Jeff & Sheri Easter.
One special highlight of the week included the very first NQC Christmas Day on

Another highlight included the Dixie Melody Boys’ 50th Anniversary Celebration, featuring the reunion of more than 40 past and present Quartet members. Other reunion appearances included the Gaither Vocal Band Reunion, the Hinsons Reunion, as well as the Rambos Tribute. Each Reunion Tribute featured former classic standards recorded and made popular by each of the groups.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (September 7, 2011) – GRAMMY® nominee and award-winning female vocalist Sheri Easter (Jeff & Sheri Easter) is set to release Hear My Heart: When There Are No Words To Say, a collection of her writings over the years, through Xulon Press on September 10, 2011.
As a wife, mother, singer and songwriter, Easter has always been one to chronicle her life with pen and paper, capturing significant moments both good and bad. While fighting a now victorious battle with breast cancer over the past few years, her journaling became even more precious to her as well as therapeutic. Currently celebrating 25 years of marriage and a life full of triumphs and tragedies, Easter decided it was time to share some of her life experiences and lessons through this intimate release.
“Sometimes in life, words seem superficial, shallow and empty” says Easter. “We struggle to put our feelings into sentences that convey an honest representation of the heart. With this book, I’ve opened my heart, shared private journal entries, favorite quotes, blogs and stories to offer inspiration and passion to the reader.”
