Joseph Habedank lives in The Beauty of the Blood

Written by Staff on February 16, 2020 – 9:59 am -

Joseph Habedank lives in The Beauty of the BloodTough love, unexpected guest and faith in Christ set Joseph Habefank free from addiction

Joseph Habedank leans back, microphone in his right hand, left arm outstretched. He pours his entire soul into delivering the message he lives every day.

Heaven’s best takes all the scars

For the worst in all of us

That’s the glory of the cross

The wonder of His love

That’s the beauty of the blood!

They aren’t just words of beauty for one of Southern Gospel’s favorite soloists. They’re life. And he’s grateful beyond measure.

“Only God can take blood and make it pretty,” he says during a November concert at Stithton Baptist Church in Radcliff, Kentucky.

Joseph Habedank lives in The Beauty of the BloodJoseph Habedank knows that beauty of the blood. He knows it personally. Even his surname is a reminder of what God has done in his life. “My name in English is Habedank,” he says with a smile. “In German, ‘haben’ is ‘to have’ and ‘danke’ is thanks. So my name means ‘have thanks.’

It was fitting that a few weeks before Christmas 2018  he was with The Erwins as part of the Resurrection of Faith Tour which has been working since 2017. The name comes from the artists albums, Habedank’s “Resurrection” and The Erwins’ “Only Faith Can See,” which were current at the tour’s outset.

At 33, Habedank is the oldest artist on the tour. The Erwins’ ages range from 18 to 26. Through November, they had played about 50 dates together and plan to continue the tour indefinitely.

“I’m proud of (the tour). There is no one else in the entire world I would rather travel with than those kids,” Habedank says.

But the Resurrection of Faith tour might be a metaphor for Joseph Habedank’s career. One of gospel music’s top stars before he was 20, Habedank hit the bottom before he was 30 but now tells his story, made possible by the beauty of Christ’s blood.

IMC CONCERTS ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR PRAISEFEST BRANSON FALL RETREAT

IMC CONCERTS ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR PRAISEFEST BRANSON FALL RETREAT

IMC CONCERTS ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR PRAISEFEST BRANSON FALL RETREAT

Johnson City, Tennessee – Prominent concert promotions company, IMC has announced plans to present a new Praisefest event in Branson, MO, in the fall of 2020. Eight years ago the successful promotions team conceived the idea of presenting an exciting weekend of Gospel music in the Ozark Mountains town of Branson, Missouri, a city that is famously known for its diverse entertainment theaters. That first year the event took place at the state-of-the-art Mansion Theatre.

Due to the overwhelming success of the event, which has been held annually each Spring for the past seven years, IMC Concerts has announced plans to  produce a Praisefest event that will also take place in the Fall of the year. The new Praisefest Branson Fall Retreat will take place October 26 through 28, 2020, and will also be held at the Mansion Theater.
“We think this new event will be a great choice for people who have told us their schedules simply will not allow them to come to our Spring event,” states IMC President Landon Beene. “We also believe many of the people who attend Praisefest Branson every year in March will want to come back again for the Fall Retreat because they love it so much.”
The 2020 Praisefest Branson Fall Retreat will include performances by such popular recording artists as Greater Vision, The Triumphant Quartet, The Hoppers, The Isaacs, The Whisnants, The Perrys, Brian Free & Assurance, The Nelons, The Ball Brothers, Joseph Habedank and The Erwins. Renowned speaker, Jim Cymbala, Pastor of The Brooklyn Tabernacle in Brooklyn, N.Y., will also be featured, as well as popular singer/songwriter and Christian comedian, Mark Lowry. “We’re really excited to be able to provide another opportunity for people to get together for a few days to enjoy some great Gospel music, lots of laughs, great fellowship and wonderful worship experiences in a unique atmosphere,” states Greater Vision’s Gerald Wolfe.
“This event has the potential to be the largest Gospel music event of its kind in the Midwest during the Fall season,” Beene states. “We are expecting seating to fill quickly so we are recommending people reserve their seats sooner, rather than later.” Registrations for this new event will begin Monday, October 7, 2019.
Make plans now to be a part of the first ever 2020 Praisefest Branson Fall Retreat. Complete information regarding the event is available at www.imcconcerts.com or www.PraisefestBranson.com.

Beyond the Song: Day Three sing “I Fail, But I’m Not A Failure”

Written by Staff on May 11, 2019 – 5:45 pm -

Day Three

Day Three

Jantina de Haan brings us another Beyond the Song look at a tune by Day Three, entitled, “I Fail, But I’m Not A Failure,” written by Rodney Griffin and Joseph Habadank. This song can be found on their recording, “Just Sing.”

Please talk to us about “I Fail, But I’m Not a Failure.” Why did you include this in your latest recording?

This is one of our most requested songs. We chose this because we could each identify with the lyrics. I think we have all come to a place in life where we feel like we’ve failed the Lord. This song is a constant reminder that God is always near, and He still saves, He still picks us up when we are down. He still forgives and most importantly, He forgets. No matter what you’re going through today, you’re not a failure in God’s eyes.

Day Three is from Mobile, Alabama, and is made up of Scott Washam, Amy Dunnam, and Bo Sullivan. They have been singing since 2014 and have made a mark in gospel music for their tight harmony and warm presentation.

We hope you enjoy this song as performed by Day Three. Producer Jonathan Goodwin, Redemption World Records.
Released on June 4, 2017.
