Changes For Paul’s Journey

Written by SGN Scoops Staff on January 2, 2019 – 1:17 pm -

Mark Green

Mark Green

Many times a brand new year brings changes and already in 2019 Paul’s Journey is starting off
the New Year with a personal change.
Keith Gilliam who has been our lead singer for the last year had to make the decision to come
off the road due to personal reasons. Keith did a great job for Paul’s Journey and we hate to
see him go but totally understand his decision! We wish him the best now and in his future!
Now, having said that we would like to make the following announcement: Mark Green from
Owasso OK is our new lead singer! For the past 19 years Mark has been the lead singer for
Forgiven Quartet based out of Bartlesville OK. Mark is a very accomplished singer, Choir
Director, Praise and Worship Leader and has served in a number of interim Minister of Music
positions in both New Mexico and Oklahoma through the years.
Rod Treme, owner of Paul’s Journey says: “We’re very excited that Mark has accepted the job!
We feel that with his singing abilities, his experience, and his love for ministry he will fit in right
away with Paul’s Journey and we are looking forward to him being a part of our ministry.”
Mark’s first singing with the group will be January 10 in Ingleside TX!

Paul’s Journey Names Matthew Esquivel New Tenor

Paul’s Journey is celebrating their 38th year of full-time ministry this year and God’s not through with them yet! Of course, some of you may or may not know that 30 of those years they were called “TheRelations Quartet”. Since the name change in 2008, God has opened so many doors for the group and the “journey” continues on. We at Chapel Valley are very excited about the future of Paul’s Journey!

The last few years have been very special to the group. In 2013, 2014, and again in 2015, they were nominated as one of the Top Five “New Traditional Quartets” in all of America by the Singing News Fans for the Singing News Fan Awards. In March of 2014, they had their very first #1 song on SouthernGospel Radio Charts, “Come Dirty, Leave Clean” written by Rodney Griffin of Greater Vision. It was followed up by another chart topping song called “Everywhere I Go”. We here at Chapel Valley Records are excited to announce their brand new single release, which is another song written byRodney Griffin called “Even Now”. This song is off a new CD project called “Keep Keeping On” that the group is working on with an expected release in the fall of this year.

Changes For Paul’s Journey

Written by SGN Scoops Staff on May 5, 2015 – 12:02 pm -

Pauls Journey Stan Watson

Pauls Journey Stan Watson

Change is something that we all go through in life and it comes and goes whether we like it or not. Sometimes it’s bad and sometime it’s good. In the last 37 plus years of ministry we have gone through changes many times, and through it all God has always and will always be in control.
Having said this, we are also announcing the departure of our tenor singer Stan Watson. Stan has been a part of our group for about two and half years now. Rod says: “we’ll miss Stan the Man for sure! He’s a great singer and stage man, but even more than that, he’s a great friend! I don’t know if I’ve ever known anyone with such a big heart as Stan”. It’s been hard on him and his family these last couple of years with Stan living in Missouri and the group based out of Texas. We appreciate his and their sacrifice and devotion these last couple of years. Stan will be joining another singing ministry on June 1 and we’ll let them make that announcement in their own time. This is definitely the right move for Stan and his family. We will miss them very much and are praying for their future as well.
Joe Kitson’s brother Kurtis Kitson will be filling in the tenor position for a while. Kurtis is a very talented young man so Paul’s Journey will not miss a beat.
We are now accepting applications for the next full time tenor position for our group. If you are interested please send resume, picture, and demo to rodt@paulsjourneyonline.com or call our office at 936-273-3074.

Paul’s Journey Announces Return Of Joe Kitson

Written by SGN Scoops Staff on January 29, 2015 – 8:53 am -

Joe Kitson

Joe Kitson

Paul’s Journey announces the resignation of Dennis King as our baritone singer. Dennis sang with the group almost one year. Dennis needed more time at home to be his family. Being in a full time group takes you away from home many days of the year and when it comes a time that your family needs you more then that’s where you need to be.

We want to thank Dennis for his time here and wish him the very best in his future!

Joe Kitson rejoins Paul’s Journey! Joe sang with the group in 2012-2013. After taking a year off the road to help his family move and finish his education he was ready to start singing and ministering again.

Joe stated : ” I didn’t want to leave in the first place but I knew it was something that God wanted me to do. I never thought I would be able to return though. The way that God worked everything out and brought me back to Paul’s Journey has been nothing short of miraculous.”

Group Manager, Rod Treme stated ” when our baritone position came open I contacted Joe to see if he was ready to come back. His answer was Yes Sir and I’m ready to start immediately. We’re glad to have Joe back as a part of our ministry team.”

Joe and his family now live in the North Houston area where the group is headquartered.

Paul’s Journey Announces Changes

Written by SGN Scoops on April 11, 2014 – 1:38 pm -

imagePaul’s Journey announces the official departure of baritone singer Joe Kitson.

After singing with the group for almost two years, Joe has moved to Tennessee with plans of going back to school to finish his college education.

“Joe was a great addition to our group and we’ll miss him a lot but I admire him for wanting to follow his heart and his calling,” Paul’s Journey owner Rod Treme said. “We wish him well.”

We have hired Dennis King to be our new baritone singer. Dennis is originally from West Virginia and now lives in Katy, TX near Houston with his wife, Mindy, and their three children.  Paul’s Journey is looking forward to working with this young man.  He has a good solid baritone vocal, a tremendous personality and a heart for ministry.  With these qualities, Dennis will fit in well with the ministry of Paul’s Journey.

We welcome Dennis aboard!
