From B:
Intimacy. What does that word mean to you?

The very nature of the word means different things to different people. To some, it simply means “physical touch” or being close.

I googled the word: “Intimacy” and it says “close familiarity or friendship; closeness.”
“the intimacy between a husband and wife”.

So, what happens when you CAN’T be “physical” with your spouse?

Bryan Hutson leaves Soul’d Out Quartet

A personal message from Bryan Hutson of Soul’d Out Quartet:

I want to thank everyone who has embraced me and my family over these last nearly 24 years in full time gospel music.

For sometime now, I have felt God’s leading into a different avenue of ministry. To be transparent, I am not completely sure what avenue that is but God always reveals Himself in His timing. I am sure though that the time has come to make a change.
I’ve had the privilege to work with some of the best men in the Southern Gospel industry. I value my time with “The Heartland Boys”, to my nearly 10 years with “The Kingsmen”. I also have had the
privilege to minister next to Dusty Barrett, Matt Fouch, Ian Owens, Michael Howard and Zach Lloyd [Soul’d Out Quartet].

My hope for the future is to continue to minister/sing in whatever form that becomes in an environment that is passionate about reaching lost people and helping others grow in their walk with The Lord. I remain passionate about encouraging men to be men of integrity and
fighting for their marriage and family.

From now until the New Year, I will be ministering with my wife, Yvonne, on select dates that can be found on our Facebook page Rescue
Me Ministries or Friends of Bryan Hutson.

Our family covets your prayers during this season of change.

About SOQT

[From the Soul’d Out Quartet Website]

In May of 2004, in answer to God’s call on his life, Matt Rankin of Georgetown, Ohio started a journey to find men of kindred spirits and equal yoking to partner with him in a mission to fulfill that calling by evangelizing God’s word through song. Now, in 2013, Matt’s calling and dream have been realized in Soul’d Out Quartet. Soul’d Out Quartet, which is comprised of Dusty Barrett (tenor), Bryan Hutson (lead), Matt Rankin (baritone), Ian Owens (bass), and Michael Howard (pianist), is not only a vocal group continuing the heritage of Southern Gospel music, but is also and foremost a ministry team answering God’s call as stated in Ephesians: He gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors, and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-13 KJV)
In this spirit, Soul’d Out Quartet travels the country with a mission of evangelism and discipleship to not only win souls for Christ by telling the world “what the world doesn’t know”, but also to further strengthen and encourage God’s people to be the salt and light to the world and ambassadors for Christ, that we are each called to be and to exhort God’s people to be servants with hearts on fire! Christmas with Bryan and Yvonne Hutson

Written by Staff on December 5, 2015 – 4:02 pm -

Why did you decide to do Christmas concerts?
“I decided to do Christmas concerts to take a break from my normal routine of group presentations (Soul’d Out and Kingsmen) to focus a few weeks on our (Yvonne and myself ) ministry.”

Soul'd Out Quartet

When did you begin doing this?
“I actually began doing Christmas solo dates during my first tenure with the Kingsmen in 1996. I was invited to take part in a Toys for Tots Benefit program in southern Indiana (where I’m from) and it so much fun, that I decided to make my Christmas concerts a part of my Holiday tradition. Now, since Yvonne and I have launched Rescue Me Ministries, we are incorporating our ministry focus into our programs.”

What is a typical Christmas concert?
“That’s the thing, we are able to adapt to any type of program. If the Pastor/Promoter wants strictly Christmas music, or a mixture of Christmas with Soul’d Out/Kingsmen music or music and testimony —  we can do that. One service/concert, we’ll actually be working with the church’s praise team. So we change to fit the situation.”

Have you changed your presentation or your approach to these over the years?
“We’ve changed a little. Our focus has always been pointing people to the babe in the Manger that became our Savior. We have just added our personal testimonies to the programs.”

How much preparation goes into the program and when do you start preparing?
“We begin a few weeks out in ‘re-learning’ those Christmas songs that we only sing a few weeks of the year. The older I get, the harder it is to remember words!) We take our programs very seriously.”

What is your primary goal for these?
“To bring a little Christmas cheer to the folks that support our ministry. I have heard that the holiday season is a very depressing time for a lot of people. We want to encourage the family, challenge moms and dads to be the parents that God created them to be and lift up the name of Jesus.”

What is a typical Christmas at the Hutson household?
“We began a tradition of attending Christmas Eve service together. It is such a blessing to stand and sing songs about the birth of our King on Christmas Eve. We light candles in memory of those we’ve lost and will read the Christmas story before we go to bed.”

What was Christmas like when you were growing up?
“Christmas for me (Bryan) was hard. Dad began battling health problems so money for presents was tight. There were never a lot of gifts, but plenty of love. We’d all gather at my Grandparents house on Christmas Eve and eat dinner and fellowship. In fact, that’s still a tradition at Grandma’s house. Last year, they counted 48 people in a VERY small house! Yvonne and I go over Christmas Day!”

Bryan adds, “If anyone would like to purchase our Christmas CD, they can write us at rescuemeministries988@gmail.com Or search ‘Rescue Me Ministries’ or ‘Friends of Bryan Hutson’ on Facebook. We pray that everyone will have a blessed Christmas and strive to live for Christ everyday!”

I have attended Bryan and Yvonne’s Christmas program and can attest that it is uplifting and inspiring.
