Once In a Lifetime Trips feature Rebecca St. James, Avalon, Jason Crabb, Russ Taff, Selah, Jaci Velasquez and more!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 21, 2019) – Icon Destinations, a subsidiary of Da Silva International, was announced today by Rui Da Silva. Da Silva is president of the company, a multi-national and multi-faceted sports and entertainment/media company with main offices in Los Angeles, Santo Domingo and Edmonton.

Icon DestinationsDa Silva started Icon Destinations to give people the ultimate experience of going to The Holy Land with their favorite Christian artist/personality. Da Silva says: “Icon Destinations was created as an “ultimate bucket-list” destination company and I have found that most Christians list visiting the Holy Land at the top of their bucket list. So, what better way to do that than going there and also being able to watch their favorite Christian artist perform live? It’s an experience like none other! The other reason we started this was that for many Christians, visiting the Holy Land was a challenge financially. I feel we have succeeded in pricing the trips in a way that allow more Christians to be able to make these trips without having to lower the quality of any of the amenities. We are excited!”

Also announced today was the opening of the Nashville, TN office exclusively to handle Icon Destinations. Kevin Stevens, a veteran artist/tour manager, has been appointed as Vice President of Icon Group and will helm the Nashville team. Over the last 26 years, Kevin Stevens has become one of the most experienced and successful artist/tour managers in Christian music, handling the careers and tours of Michael English, Avalon, Kathy Troccoli, Natalie Grant, Sandi Patty, 4Him, and many more.

Icon DestinationsStevens comments: “I’m always looking for great new opportunities that I can be part of. Icon Destinations has allowed me to use my 20 plus years of relationships in the industry in a new and exciting way. I love what I do and this will only add to the already fulfilling moments I’ve had.”

Additional staff for the Nashville-based operations was also announced. Frank Shelton Jr. is joining the team as the Director of Speaking Engagements. Having worked for two decades on Capitol Hill in some of the highest levels of government, Frank brings a unique perspective along with a wealth of experience and wisdom to the team. Among his career highlights are: member of Congress in the House Leadership, bi-partisan figured on the floor of the United States Senate, aide to the Governor of Maryland, among other positions. He serves on the advisory board with professional athletes in the fight against human trafficking and has served as the International Evangelism Chairman for the 2012 Olympics outreach in London England and so much more! Frank says: “I am thrilled to serve with Icon Destinations assisting individuals to “walk in Jesus’ footsteps” in the Holy Land.”

Icon DestinationsAlso joining the Nashville-based team is Derek Simonis as Social Media Director and Rebecca Grice as Marketing Manager.

“I Still Believe” – a documentary detailing the award-winning vocalist’s life and his battle with alcoholism – is set to appear in select theaters as a one-night event on Oct. 30.

“Rick Altizer, he did the Chonda Pierce movie (‘Chonda Pierce: Laughing in the Dark’) … he came to my house a couple of years ago,” Taff shares. “We were just talking. He said, ‘Why don’t you let me tell your story?’ He knew a lot of it, but I haven’t talked about it much to anybody.

“It’s been my life’s work to be made whole. He convinced me … he said, ‘Your story would bring hope to so many people.’”

NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Premiering in more than 700 movie theaters nationwide for a one-time special presentation, Fathom Events/Fuseic Entertainment’s “Russ Taff: I Still Believe” was the #2 per screen average (PSA) movie in America for the night of October 30, according to data collected by Comscore. With multiple screen sellouts in several cities—including Dallas, Minneapolis, Nashville and Tulsa, Oklahoma—the documentary is one of Fathom Events’ top faith-based music-themed presentations.

“Russ Taff: I Still Believe” chronicles the GRAMMY® and Dove Award winning artist’s unparalleled musical journey and behind-the-scenes battle with alcoholism. Taff candidly reveals how a tumultuous past fueled his own addiction and the ultimate healing he embraced in the power of Christ’s love and forgiveness. Immediately following the presentation, theater audiences were treated to a special acoustic session with Taff and GRAMMY® Award-winning singer/songwriters Amy Grant and Steven Curtis Chapman.

“I had no idea what it would feel like to sit in a theater with many of the people I love most in this world and watch some of my darkest moments and deepest regrets play out,” Taff says of the film’s premiere. “What I was completely unprepared for was the wave of unconditional love, compassion, acceptance and encouragement I felt in telling the truth.”

“Our prayer is that this movie starts a conversation about the impact of addiction and trauma,” he adds. “I believe God can use our story to help coax other hurting people out of the shadows—and that is worth every moment of pain it took to get here.”

“We are humbled and overwhelmed by the response we have received from the movie,” said director Rick Altizer, Fuseic Entertainment. “God has done amazing things with this story. We are hearing from people struggling with addictions or marriage issues who saw the film and recognized their own need for help. It took courage for Russ and Tori to be this honest, and their heart to see others find healing is apparent in ‘I Still Believe.’”

In addition, Taff’s debut praise and worship recording, Believe, bowed last week from Sweetwater Studios, a division of Sweetwater Sound, and with global distribution from The Fuel Music. The full-circle, 12-song release is Taff’s first recording in more than seven years and is available at physical and digitalretailers everywhere.Hailed by Billboard magazine as “the single most electrifying voice in Christian music,” Russ Taff has garnered six GRAMMY® Awards and 18 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards. Inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame an unprecedented three times—as a soloist, as well as a member of The Imperials and the Gaither Vocal Band—Taff is also a member of the Christian Music Hall of Fame and the Arkansas Walk of Fame.

Rising to prominence with The Imperials, trailblazers of the contemporary Christian music movement of the 1970s, Taff was the voice behind such quintessential hits as “Praise the Lord,” “Trumpet of Jesus” and “I’m Forgiven,” among many others. His genre-defying sound later endeared him to Southern Gospel audiences, and he spent nearly three years as a member of the world-renowned Gaither Vocal Band. Taff has recorded 11 solo albums to date, including industry benchmarks Medals (1985), Russ Taff (1987) and Under Their Influence (1991), and his classic singles include “We Will Stand,” “I’m Not Alone,” “Not Gonna Bow” and “Love Is Not A Thing.” From rock giants Kings of Leon to MercyMe’s Bart Millard and Newsboys’ Michael Tait, Taff’s influence is felt throughout the music world.

Chrisagis Brothers champion legendary artists Russ Taff and Michael English

Brian and Shawn Chrisagis with Adam Crabb and Russ Taff

How often do you meet twins who have the same talent, vision and ministry giftings? The Chrisagis Brothers are internationally-known Christian music artists, who annually present a Legends Concert to honor pioneers of Christian music such as Russ Taff, Michael English, Rambo McGuire, Dino, and many more.

Brian and Shawn’s support of artists across Christian music genres has increased their notability in the Southern gospel arena as well, with Christmas concerts featuring Adam Crabb, Russ Taff, Angela Primm, Bonnie Keen, and the Blackwoods.

The Chrisagis Brothers have a strong emphasis on family in their ministry and one reason for this is their heritage. “We are Italian and Greek, so family has always played an important part of our lives,” says Shawn.

“When we were born, we were born with life-threatening allergies and the doctors said we would never live past the age of one year old. We were dying for seven years of our lives and could not go outside because we were allergic to the sun. We couldn’t eat anything but soybean milk, sardines, rice-cakes, and peanut butter.

Chrisagis Brothers

Shawn recalls, “Through the love of our strong family, the three generations who lived in one home, including our Mom, Dad, and our Grandparents and our brother Anthony, we twins survived the odds because of love and faith.

“Our Mom always said that the acronym of ‘FAMILY’ stood for Forget About Me, I Love You. Our family lived that daily and at seven years old we were healed,” continues Shawn. “Our Mom became born again and found out how to break the curse of sickness, death and disease in our home in the name of Jesus. When she did that, we were instantly healed.”

The twins’ strong faith is proclaimed nightly in their onstage appearances.

These ladies will be doing duets with the Brothers. This will be a concert of love songs, Christmas ballads new and old,

and wonderful traditional memories. Bring your family and friends to worship and celebrate the Christ in Christmas at Faith Fellowship Church in Bellaire, Ohio, at 6:30pm.

The Chrisagis Brothers are then headed to Branson, Miss., to perform on the Jim Bakker show, and for some meetings to bring their award-nominated “Legends Concerts” to a theater in Missouri. As you can see, the Brothers are busy until the new year. In 2018, the Chrisagis Brothers are in charge of a Women’s Conference called “All that Glitters,” for actress Jennifer

O’Neill, who the Brothers have known and worked with for the last 27 years. The Conference will feature Angela Primm and Nancy Stafford from Matlock tv series fame. Plus, they will be going to the Holy Land in April for a 10-day ministry tour.

The concerts overseas will be televised and will be a powerful witnessing tool for the Jewish nation. Legendary CCM artists will join them, like Paul Clark, and Chuck Girard from Love Song.

BELL BUCKLE WEEKEND WITH RUSS AND TORI TAFF

BELL BUCKLE WEEKEND WITH RUSS AND TORI TAFF

What does it take to get this Canadian girl to go to some place called Bell Buckle, Tennessee? Well for starters, a getaway weekend simply titled: Russ and Tori Taff’s weekend in Bell Buckle, consisting of some of the best Gospel music there is today. Throw in some of the best southern cooking, hospitality, and charm. Think it is hard to fit all of this into a charming hamlet of 500+ inhabitants? Well, it is possible because that’s exactly what happened. To quote our weekend host Tori Taff, “A joyful oasis from your daily routine,” and that’s what this amazing weekend delivered.

What I am referring to? The 2nd Annual Russ and Tori Taff ‘s Weekend in Bell Buckle, Tenn., on Oct. 7 and 8. From the moment I stepped into the Bell Buckle Banquet Hall on the Friday for early registration, I was greeted with open arms, which quickly got filled with the warmest and most sincere hug from our greeter

Tori Taff

Tori herself. As a guest, you get treated to a registration bag filled with goodies; name tag/badge, lovely commemorative mug, a professional and gorgeous autographed 8×10 picture of Russ Taff, yummy moon pie samples, Bell Buckle bumper sticker, and an exclusive CD by Russ of never before released songs. In addition, a list of shops indicating their discounts especially for the weekend guests, all packed into a nice yellow tote bag. Tori is definitely in her wheelhouse, hosting, greeting and scheduling this annual event. Leaving Russ, who has been called “the introvert in an extroverts career,” to do what he does best: sing. And that he did, in spades.
