Danny Norman Racks Up Two Diamond Awards Nominations

{EHA-Nashville, TN}Award-winning Christian Country Artist, Danny Norman was given 2 major nods from fans in the industry, as the Top 10 Nominee list was published by SGNScoops Digital magazine. Danny was placed in the Sunrise Artist of the Year and the Christian Country Male Vocalist of The Year categories for 2012. Danny’s latest music video ,”Reasons.” has now surpassed 100,000 views since appearing on YouTube in February. Danny’s goal is to touch lives and help bring the listeners’ own goals of serving Christ back into focus with his music. His original songs have been a favorite among fans for many years and the success of the video only strengthens his fan-base.

We are very excited to present September 2011 Scoops Magazine!  Our theme this month revolves around the faithfulness of God.  September’s issue is jammed packed with news, inspiration and a lot more! We are celebrating “gold” with the Hoppers as they celebrate 50 years of marriage and over 50 years of ministry. We are also featuring Wilburn and Wilburn, Tribute Quartet, Hannah Webb and the Journeymen.  This issue includes a fan concert review of the Mark Trammell Quartet, new music reviews on The Collingsworth Family, New Ground, Mike Upright and the Stephens. Bill Traylor, Rob Patz, and Evie Hawkins to Co-Host Radio Promotions Showcase at NQC

 Patterson Promotions Annual Radio Promotions Breakfast at the National Quartet Convention will be held Thursday September 15, 9:30-12:30 at the Louisville, KY, Crowne Plaza. The event is by invitation only and includes an opportunity for charting station Program Directors, DJ’s, and VIP’s to hear new music of Gospel recording artists. Pauline Patterson of Patterson Promotions announced today the VIP’S that will be co-hosting the showcase. She notes, “We have asked Rob Patz, Evie Hawkins, and Bill Traylor to co-host and we are really looking forward to this event.We do appreciate all the DJ’s and stations that play our artists’ music. These stations report to the Singing News and this is a time we are happy to set aside once a year to give them an opportunity to hear some of the artists’ material performed live. I appreciate our VIP’S agreeing to take time out of their very busy NQC weeks and come listen to our artists.”

Rob Patz is President/CEO of Coastal Media Group in Bellingham, WA, the syndicated Southern Styles show, SGM Radio, and the popular SGN Scoops Magazine. He also owns the affiliated Diamond Awards and “Diamond Awards on Tour” concert series.

 Bill Traylor is President of Mansion Entertainment, and a partner/owner wtih John Mathis, Jr. and Bill Dykes in the newly launched Pathway Records. Both companies are located in Franklin, TN, where Traylor recently opened the Pathway recording studio. Traylor is also known for his extensive work in television and taking Gospel Music into the homes of millions with his programs over a span of many years. In addition, he travels and sings with the popular Homeland Quartet that also includes members, Mike Allen, Ben Speer, and Joe Thrasher.This year the group charted for the first time on Singing News with the top 40, “When He Set Me Free.” The quartet has released another single to radio, “Miracles Will Happen on That Day” and will be performing in this promotions event.

Evie Hawkins is owner of EHA-Nashville, located in Brentwood, TN. The company offers management, direction/consulting, and publicity; primarily to Gospel recording artists. EHA also provides PR services to music industry companies and associated non-profit agencies and associations. She has been involved in Southern Gospel Music in some aspect since age 13 as a singer, songwriter, recording artist, promoter, and a published writer for various music media outlets. Rhonda Frye’s Latest Single Released Through Patterson Promotions

{EHA-Nashville, TN} Rhonda Frye’s latest single, “Come to Me” is being well-received by radio, as it was released through Patterson Promotions this month. This is Rhonda’s second release from her first album, Second Chances, recorded and produced by Steve Babb and Fred Schendel of Sound Resources in Chattanooga. “I was inspired to write ‘Come To Me’ following a conversation with a long-time friend who had been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. She explained how she was strong during the day, but fell apart during the night hours. This song was intended to be a sweet dose of truth to soothe the spirit,” Rhonda notes.
