Arden, North Carolina (November 1, 2018) – Sonlite Records and the Down East Boys have teamed up with Singing News Radio and Bible League International to get Bibles into the hands of new Christians around the world through the League’s ‘Til The Whole World Knows campaign.

Throughout the month of November, the first 50 people who donate $50 or more to Bible League International will receive a copy of the Down East Boys’ latest album, One Day In The Past, which features their hit single, “Beat Up Bible.”

“As Singing News Radio continues to work with Bible League International to buy Bibles and put them out to new Christians across the globe, we felt a perfect tie-in was the Down East Boys song, ‘Beat Up Bible.’ We are so pleased to have the Down East Boys and Sonlite Records working with us in November to give copies of their project One Day In The Past to some of our donors,” says Greg Goodman from Singing News Radio. “In order to achieve a beat-up Bible, you have to place it in the hands of someone who is going to use it and gather all the knowledge they can from it. We know that is the work that Bible League is doing daily!”

Greg Bentley from Crossroads said joining the effort to spread God’s word was a no brainer, especially because “Beat Up Bible” was a perfect match for the campaign.

“I’ve heard many stories of families and churches in foreign countries sharing one copy of The Bible between many people because they do not have the resources to have their own copy. And how it becomes tattered and torn from the use,” says Bentley. “To be able to team up with the Bible League and Singing News in this effort just seemed like the icing on top of the cake since the song ‘Beat Up Bible’ will be the #1 song for the upcoming December chart. To be a part of getting the message around the world is part of our goal. We are thrilled to contribute to such a great cause.”

Those interested in contributing can do so on the Singing News Radio website, by clicking on the Bible League International link.

Arden, NC. (May 23, 2018) – With songs about strong belief, grateful praise and reliance on faith, Sunday Drive’s latest project “A Million Miles” carries a resounding message that God is never too far away. With a classic country style and upbeat lyrics, the gospel group reminds listeners that following Christ leads to a joyful life, despite the ups and downs we all face. Visit Sunday Drive’s website here.

The group’s first single “Living In The Middle Of His Will” talks about how life gets sweeter in the place of peace found through following Christ. The title track, “A Million Miles,” says “On the wings of an angel band / His mercy reaches across the span / To lift me up to the Savior’s face / A million miles is not too far for grace.” It’s another moving reminder that no low is too low for God to find you and pull you back up.

“We are so excited about our new recording ‘A Million Miles.’ We reached out of our songwriting box and asked some of the greatest writers in Gospel music for some songs and did they come through,” says Jeff Treece. “The title cut ‘A Million Miles’ is written by our good friend, Mark Bishop. Our first single ‘Living In The Middle Of His Will’ is written by Dianne Wilkinson and Lee Black. It also includes original, easy listening, classic and comedy songs. Come take a trip you will never forget — ‘A Million Miles’ by Sunday Drive.”

Written by SGN Scoops on September 23, 2013 – 7:46 am -

cross roads #1September 11th, The Kingdom Heirs, The Old Paths, and representatives of Sonlite Records, a division of Crossroads Entertainment & Marketing, gathered at the Cardinal Restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky to celebrate two recent #1 hits. The Old Paths’ radio single “God’s Great,” written by Rodney Birch, was #1 on the June 2013 Singing News Top 80 chart. The Kingdom Heirs’ #1, “Just Beyond the Sunset,” written by Dianne Wilkinson, is #1 on the current October 2013 Singing News Top 80 chart.”What a run it’s been,” said Kingdom Heirs baritone and manager Steve French. “It took us several years to ever reach that #1 position but now we’ve had eight to make it to the top.  That’s what happens when you have great songs, a great production, and the best radio department in the business!”Old Paths baritone and manager Douglas Roark added, “We never imagined coming out of the gate with #1 songs. But to have two in a row, back to back, is just unbelievable. We owe so much to our record company, Crossroads Entertainment and especially to Jim Stover for doing such a great job representing our songs in the world of radio. We couldn’t be more excited!”

Chris White, President of Sonlite Records, commented: “It’s not often that you get to work with what may be two of the best quartets to ever have sung a note in our business. That’s what we’ve got with the Kingdom Heirs and The Old Paths. As well, they are both very serious about how they present the music with their abundance of talent and with the message these songs contain. We’re thrilled with our association with each of these artists.”

The Old Paths’ follow-up single, “He’s My Song,” has been heating up the charts; it has already reached the #6 position on the November 2013 chart. Meanwhile, the Kingdom Heirs’ new single, “The Borrowed Tomb,” is off to a strong start, as the #1 most added song for Singing News’ November 2013 Top New Releases chart.

Jerry Martin Departs the Dove Brothers

Written by Rhonda on October 15, 2010 – 5:27 pm -

BLADENBORO, N.C. – (October 15, 2010) – Multi-award winning quartet the Dove Brothers regretfully announce the departure of long-time tenor vocalist Jerry Martin.

McCray Dove said, “Jerry has been a big part of our group for the last eight and a half years. This decision was mutual between us. We have no hard feelings for Jerry and wish him the best in the future. Sometimes one knows when their time is up with a group, and Jerry felt that it was time for him to transition to a new area. What that is exactly we don’t know – but we love Jerry and support him in whatever way he chooses to go.” Dove continued, “We want to squelch any rumors that Jerry left because of creative differences.  There really isn’t any more to the story. We both just felt it was time, and we are still great friends!”

During his tenure with the Dove Brothers, Jerry was the voice behind the #1 Song of 2007 and SGN Music Award Song of the Year winner “I Can Pray.” Jerry has earned multiple Favorite Tenor nominations in the Singing News Fan Awards and a Male Vocalist of the Year nod in the SGN Music Awards during his time with the group.

Until a permanent replacement can be named, the Dove Brothers have enlisted the help of Phil Barker (formerly of the Singing Americans) to fill in. The group is currently auditioning vocalists for the position, and a replacement will be named in the coming weeks.

The Dove Brothers released their critically acclaimed album Unshakeable earlier this year. The first single from that release – “If I Knew Then” – just hit #1 on the AbsolutelyGospel.com (formerly SoGospelNews.com) Top 40 Weekly Chart this week. The song is also quickly climbing the Singing News Top 80 chart – coming in at #42 on the upcoming November chart in only its second month of charting.

More information on the Dove Brothers can be found at http://dovebrothersquartet.com
