The Browns Release Encouraging New Music With EP "Brave"Nashville, TN (June 19, 2020) – StowTown Records announces the release of the highly-anticipated EP, Brave, from Christian music’s multi-talented family group, The Browns. The group, comprised of siblings Adam, Michaela and Andrew and mom Shelly, is from Le Mars, IA, the Ice Cream Capital of the World. The family owns and operates Browns Century Theater in downtown Le Mars, where they perform regularly throughout the year when not touring the U.S.

The first single and title cut from this newest recording has already seen tremendous success at Southern Gospel radio, and the follow-up single, “Better Off There,” penned by Sonya Isaacs Yeary, Jimmy Yeary and Wayne Haun, is ministering to the hearts of listeners across the country. With themes of hope, eternity, and assurance, the strength of the songs they chose and co-wrote is remarkable. Other songs chosen for this recording include the gospel song “Take Me Back” by legendary artist Andraé Crouch, the soul-stirring “Not Even For A Moment” (Jeff Bumgardner, Joel Lindsey, Wayne Haun) and country hit “Brave” (Scotty Inman, Lee Black).

StowTown label co-founder, Ernie Haase, shares, “The Browns have been a mainstay with StowTown Records. We believe in them and all that they do. It’s not just about recording music, it’s about what they have done with the music; opening a theater, writing and presenting musicals, and their BRAVE approach to sharing Jesus in the digital age keeps them fresh and relevant. I admire them greatly!”

Their family blend is unbeatable, their energy is undeniable and their musicianship is unmatched. When combined with the production and arrangements of award-winning producer Wayne Haun, the result is a pinnacle project from a passionate group ready to take the world by storm with their message. “Our family is always excited to share new music,” states Michaela, “but we believe that this album, at this time, is going to be such an encouragement to all who hear it. We are praying it will bless many.”

Brave is distributed exclusively by Provident/Sony and is available at retail and digital outlets worldwide.

StowTown Records Announces Debut Release From The Kramers

Written by Staff on May 11, 2020 – 3:41 pm -

StowTown Records Announces Debut Release From The KramersNashville, TN (May 8, 2020) – StowTown Records has announced the release of a brand new recording from one of gospel music’s most gifted musical families, The Kramers. The Hope of All Tomorrows marks the group’s debut recording under the StowTown umbrella. The recording features live orchestrations and was produced by multi-award winning producer/arranger, Wayne Haun.

Since 1995, Scott and Rachel Kramer have enjoyed a full-time ministry that has allowed them the opportunity to share the Gospel throughout North America and internationally. In 2014, they were joined by their daughter Maria. Three years later, son-in-law, Ben Wolfe, became a member of the musical family. Like the Kramers, Ben comes from a rich musical heritage as his father is Gerald Wolfe of Greater Vision.

The Hope of All Tomorrows offers listeners a rich variety and effectively exhibits the group’s ability to present a diverse range of musical stylings that are certain to be embraced by music lovers of all ages. The recording includes moving ballads, as well as upbeat melodies and powerful songs of worship, each complemented by creative and inspiring orchestrations masterfully created by talented producer Wayne Haun. “For many years now, we’ve admired the music production work of Wayne Haun,” states Scott Kramer, “and it’s been a tremendous blessing to have him produce our latest project. Wayne brings a wealth of creative talent to the table, including great musicianship, songwriting, orchestral arranging, vocal production and the incredible ability to write studio charts for many of the world’s greatest musicians. From the beginning, Wayne encouraged our family through every step of the production process. The Hope of All Tomorrows is by far our best family project to date, and it’s largely due to God working in a mighty way through our dear friend, Wayne Haun!”

StowTown Records Announces Debut Release From The Kramers“When you are in the studio with great songs and talented singers, the creative juices easily flow,” Haun shares, “and it’s all evident from the downbeat of the first song to the final note. I love the musical versatility we created for this project. All four singers are unique musicians individually, but somehow the collaboration just clicks. I think that comes from the years of good training and honing their craft and God-given talent…family harmony in its best form.”

The Hope of All Tomorrows features nine selections, including the debut single “Water Walker,” which is currently climbing up radio airplay charts nationwide. “From the moment we first heard the demo for the song, we knew we wanted to sing it,” Maria Kramer Wolfe shares. “It features an upbeat and catchy melody with a greatly encouraging message! We always look forward to sharing the song live, and we’re excited to say it’s our latest release to radio. Written by Wendy Ferguson and Rachel McCutcheon, ‘Water Walker’ reminds us God is always at work in our lives and, with every test we face, He is strengthening our faith. Our God is always faithful to lead and guide in our journey to become more like Him!”

The Kramers have been presenting the Gospel in song for 25 years. With The Hope of All Tomorrows, the musical team of Scott, Rachel, Maria and Ben soars to new heights.

The Hope Of All Tomorrows is distributed exclusively by Provident/Sony and is available at digital and retail outlets worldwide, including christianbook.com, barnesandnoble.com and amazon.com.

THE COLLINGSWORTH FAMILY PARTNERS WITH SAMARITAN’S PURSE TO BRING HOPE AND HEALING TO A WORLD IN NEED

Written by Staff on April 6, 2020 – 10:10 am -

THE COLLINGSWORTH FAMILY PARTNERS WITH SAMARITAN’S PURSE TO BRING HOPE AND HEALING TO A WORLD IN NEEDNASHVILLE, Tenn.—GRAMMY® Award-nominated StowTown recording artist The Collingsworth Family recently partnered with evangelical Christian humanitarian aid organization Samaritan’s Purse for “Sunday Night Worship Around The Piano,” a Facebook LIVE concert from the family’s Mt. Orab, Ohio, home. More than 513,000 people have viewed the event to date, which The Collingsworth Family created to help Samaritan’s Purse raise funds for their work in the United States and around the world fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

The livestream featured the award-winning family ensemble’s signature harmonies and included classic hymns and songs of faith; their timely new single, “Joy Has Not Been Cancelled,” penned by Kim and inspired by a recent devotional from Lysa TerKeurst; and a reading of Psalm 33.

“Samaritan’s Purse is grateful for the support and generosity from The Collingsworth Family,” said Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse. “As the world is facing this coronavirus pandemic, they are not only encouraging and blessing people with their music, but they are also using their talents to be a part of helping others. We are thankful for this tremendous gift, which is supporting our work in running Emergency Field Hospitals in New York City and Cremona, Italy, the two hardest hit areas.”

“Ever since we were invited to do Christmas concerts with Cliff Barrows in 2014, we have returned every year to perform at The Cove, a ministry of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association,” Phil Colllingsworth said. “So we just knew that Franklin Graham’s Samaritan’s Purse was the right partner for this event. We are in such a crisis right now; when we were choosing the songs to share, Samaritan’s Purse had trucks on the way to New York City to set up field hospitals.”

“When we first realized we were going to need to stop traveling and stay home because of the pandemic, we asked God what He would have for us to do,” added Kim Collingsworth. “We decided we wanted to do something to encourage our friends and listeners as we all struggle with challenges during this season. We also wanted to open our hands, and bless those who are on the frontlines of this crisis. Sharing this evening with folks around the world was a reminder to us that God is doing some unexpected things in the midst of unimaginable hardship and uncertainty.”

Multi-chart Success for New StowTown Releases

Multi-chart Success for New StowTown Releases

Multi-chart Success for New StowTown Releases

Nashville, TN  – August was a banner month for StowTown Records. With the release of two CDs and one live concert DVD, the label has had plenty to keep them busy. The fans are showing their love for these projects, as the last few weeks of Nielsen Christian SoundScan (a division of Nielsen Entertainment) numbers give the artists, as well as StowTown, cause to celebrate.

The Healing, by TaRanda Greene, claimed the #1 spot on the Inspirational chart for the week ending August 16. The Healing also came in at #13 on the Current Contemporary Christian chart and at #22 on the Christian/Gospel chart. As an added bonus, This Changes Everything, by Cana’s Voice, was #3 on the Inspirational chart for the same week.

For the week ending August 23, Fanny Crosby: Newly Discovered Hymns & Songs, another StowTown release from earlier this year, took the #1 spot on the Southern chart. This multi-artist compilation project remained in the Top Ten on the chart the following week and was also in the Top Ten the week prior to its #1 ranking.

Additionally, The Erwins’ new project, Watch & See, made its chart debut at #2 on the Southern chart for the week ending August 30. With their other two StowTown projects also featured on the Southern chart, they anticipate strong sales numbers for Watch & See in the upcoming weeks.

Landon Beene, CEO of StowTown Records, couldn’t be more encouraged by these robust numbers. “With all of the time, money and resources invested in creating great music, it is so encouraging to see the response of the fans. It’s easy to create media buzz, but the sales numbers tell the truth behind the quality of the music produced and, more importantly, the people being touched by the music.”

The August releases, The Healing and Watch & See, also garnered Top Ten spots on the iTunes Christian & Gospel chart. All of these StowTown projects are distributed by Sony/Provident and are available in retail and digital outlets worldwide.

The Erwins: Paving A New Road

Written by Staff on July 15, 2016 – 8:32 am -

The Erwins

The Erwins

“Gospel music isn’t reaching our youth anymore. It’s dying out.” Have you ever heard that statement before at a Gospel music event? I heard it more than my share of times, both as an attendee and as an artist. Each time, I would cringe inside because it hurt to hear that as a young person involved in gospel music.

I grew up on this music. I was in the audience at the Cathedrals’ Campmeeting Live taping under the tent. I’ve walked the halls of Louisville, Kentucky’s Freedom Hall and heard the echoes of great young talent from the main stage of the National Quartet Convention. I’ve seen the lines of teenagers at a concert who have lined up to take a selfie with their favorite singer, or to have that CD signed that they just bought from the product table, so it’s hard for me to swallow the statement that gospel music is dying, and it doesn’t reach young people anymore.

April 2016 SGNScoops Magazine

April 2016 SGNScoops Magazine

This month’s cover (April 2016) features a family group full of young people serving in many different capacities more than just musically. They’re truly paving a new road for Gospel music lovers all over the country, and the results are astounding. They’ve signed with a record label, released their new project, exploded onto the main stage of the National Quartet Convention, and even sung at the Dove Awards! I’m talking about the Erwins, from the great state of Texas.

The Erwins’ ministry began many years ago, with their father, Dennis Erwin answering the call to preach the gospel. “My dad, Dennis Erwin, began preaching the gospel at the age of 20,” Keith describes. “He traveled to every church, rescue mission, and jailhouse that would have him. Seventeen years into his solo ministry, as a 37-year-old single man, he met Tiffany Duke at a tent revival he was serving in. A year or so later, they got married, and the rest is history! I was born two years later and when I turned 18 months old, Dad had me in the studio to sing “Jesus Loves Me” and “The B-I-B-L-E” on one of his recordings. The same story goes for all four siblings. As soon as we could talk, we were singing. As we all grew, we began to sing harmony, and my brothers and I formed a trio. When Katie started singing harmony, we added her and our ministry became what it is today.”

StowTown Records Announces the Signing of Rambo McGuire

Written by Staff on June 30, 2016 – 5:38 pm -

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

June 30, 2016 (Nashville, TN)… StowTown Records is very excited to announce the addition of longtime fan-favorite family group, Rambo McGuire, to its ever-increasing group of popular gospel artists.

Rambo McGuire has a long history in gospel music, beginning over 30 years ago as a husband and wife duo with GRAMMY and Dove Award-winning artists and songwriters, Dony McGuire and Reba Rambo-McGuire.

The family harmony continues today as a trio with their daughter Destiny Rambo-McGuire joining them on vocals. The group continues a long Rambo family legacy of music, spanning three generations from the late Buck Rambo to his granddaughter, Destiny.

“The Rambos were influential on most of the leaders in our industry today,” said StowTown Records co-founder Wayne Haun. “Their music was certainly playing throughout our house from the day I was brought home to the day I left for college. Now, their legacy continues and, for me, to play a small role in their future is humbling.”

Their unique style of singing and songwriting gives Rambo McGuire the ability to appeal to a variety of audiences as they can perform a diversity of musical genres, including contemporary Christian, praise and worship, country, bluegrass, as well as Southern Gospel.

Rambo McGuire continues to travel and sing in churches and concert venues throughout the country and is also featured on the Gaither Homecoming video series.

The group’s debut album for StowTown, Rambo Classics, is set to release in November.

The project features famous, chart-topping songs written and once performed by the late Dottie Rambo and also highlights the special legendary voice of Hall of Famer, Buck Rambo, during his final recorded album before his recent passing.

Rambo McGuire is so ecstatic about partnering with our dear friends at StowTown Records!” exclaimed Reba. “Not only our new fresh versions of timeless Rambo songs will be released, but other exciting projects are in the works. Can somebody say, “Hallelujah?!”

The first radio single, “Tears Will Never Stain the Streets of that City” ships June 30.

Rambo Classics, distributed by Provident/Sony, will release to the general public November 4.

THE PERRYS ANNOUNCE BRYAN WALKER’S DEPARTURE

Written by SGN Scoops Staff on October 15, 2014 – 2:08 pm -

Bryan Walker

Bryan Walker

StowTown Recording artists The Perrys have announced Bryan Walker will be leaving the group. Libbi Stuffle says, “Bryan has given his resignation, and we will be introducing a new vocalist to the Perrys line-up in the near future. We will announce the process to fill the vacancy as soon as plans are finalized.” There is no official final performance date for Bryan at this time.

Bryan, who joined the Perrys in 2010, says it has been a hard decision, but feels God has a new season in store for him. “I have the utmost respect for Tracy and Libbi Stuffle, and I’ve had a great time traveling with the Perrys. Especially this past year and a half, God has allowed me to learn things about myself, Him, and the ministry in general. It has been my hope that God has used me for a span of time to uphold the Perrys and help move them forward in their ministry. I love the Perrys and will do everything I can to support them as they continue their ministry.”
When Bryan shared his decision to come off the road with the Perrys, it was focused on he and wife Bethany’s desire to spend more time together and eventually start a family. However, Bryan says the day after he gave his notice, he was at a revival at his home church and re-surrendered the call to preach, a call he first surrendered to at age 18. “There is no doubt the timing is confirmation that God has a new season in store, and I’m excited for that. I would ask that you pray for my wife and me as we wait to see what this is actually going to look like in the future, and of course also please pray for the Perrys as they seek the person God would have for their group.”
Libbi says, “If I’ve learned anything in my life, especially in the past 21 months, it’s that God is faithful. We know He has a great plan for both Bryan and for the Perrys, too. We wish him and Bethany all the best and will be watching with everyone else to see what great things God does for and through them. As for The Perrys, we will continue to do our best to share the life-changing gospel of Christ through our music.”
