SUE DODGE PARTNERS WITH CHAPEL VALLEY FOR A BRAND NEW SEASON IN MINISTRYSharps Chapel, Tenn. – Chapel Valley is thrilled to announce a partnership with four-time Dove Award-winner and Gaither artist, Sue Dodge (website HERE). Many know Sue Dodge from her appearances on Gaither Homecoming events and videos and some even remember her early days with The Speer Family.

Sue has been in the studio working on her new Christmas album and getting to know the Chapel Valley production crew in the process.

Sue celebrated 50 years in Southern gospel music last year with the launch of her “Let me Tell You About Jesus” album.

Amos and Sue Dodge recently retired after founding and pastoring Capital Church for over 40 years, and Sue has resumed traveling, singing and sharing the gospel.

Shane Roark of Chapel Valley shared, “We are excited to welcome Sue Dodge to the Chapel Valley family. She is an accomplished artist and has shared the stage with some of the most legendary names in the Southern gospel industry. Sue is seasoned, yet humble, and her joy literally spills out as we work together. The Talleys to appear in Savannah, Tennessee

Talleys at SavannahPeople’s Tabernacle Church, 64 Airways Blvd, Savannah, Tennessee, will welcome award winning Christian artists, The Talleys, on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at 5:00PM.

This is a DRIVE-IN, outside concert. You can stay in your car or you can bring your own chair and sit outside.

TalleysThe Talleys, which have enjoyed many years of success, including a Dove Award, numerous Singing News Fan Awards, and 11 top No. 1 songs, recently announced they will be retiring at the end of 2020, which makes this concert more special and could be a once in a lifetime event. It could be one of the last opportunities to see them in the greater West Tennessee/North Alabama/North Mississippi area.

Pastor Josh and Ashley Franks will also appear.

No admission will be charged, however a generous freewill love offering will be received.

In case of rain, this event will be moved into the church’s gymnasium.

NQC Spring Break To Be Held April 24 & 25, 2020

NQC – The National Quartet Convention

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (March 24, 2020) – NQC (the National Quartet Convention) has announced that NQC’s Spring Break festival will now be held on April 23 & 24, 2020. The fourth annual event will once again be held at First Baptist Church in Sevierville, TN. Produced by NQC – Gospel Music’s Largest annual event drawing nearly 40,000 from 40 states and half dozen foreign countries to its annual fall festival at the end of September – NQC Spring Break is designed to give gospel music fans a taste of the big fall convention and give gospel music fans an opportunity to enjoy the Smoky Mountains in the Spring as well as the fall.
Featured on the event this year will be last year’s biggest winners at the annual Singing New Fan Awards, the Triumphant Quartet as well as Dollywood’s host group, the Kingdom Heirs, both of whom reside in Sevier County. Also featured will be many artists often featured on the popular Gaither Homecoming series such as the Hoppers, Greater Vision, Mark Trammell Quartet, Jim & Melissa Brady along with the very popular Primitive Quartet and Singing News Fan Awards two-time Soloist of the Year, Joseph Habedank.
In addition to these popular Gospel Music artists, the event will also feature an appearance by the East Tennessee Mass Choir featuring the choir members of First Baptist Sevierville, and several other area choirs. Being lead by First Baptist Sevierville Worship Pastor, Scott Andrews, the choirs will be performing a special to open the second half as well as singing with several of the featured artists.

NQC organizers are set to make an exciting announcement about the future of the Spring event during both the Thursday night and Friday night performances.
The event takes place April 23 & 24, 2020 at First Baptist Sevierville.  Door open at 4:00 and the concerts start at 6:00 p.m. each night.  Additional information can be found at www.nqconline.com

Anyone, anywhere, can vote on their favorite gospel music artists. The Diamond Awards will be presented on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 during the Creekside Gospel Music Convention held at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee Oct. 25 – 30, 2020.

What are the Diamond Awards?

The prestigious Diamond Awards have a history of almost 30 years, recognizing the best in Gospel Music from coast to coast. The Awards began in 1991, hosted by Allen Smith and the Gospel Voice Magazine. Today, that same publication is known as SGN Scoops Digital Magazine, and both SGNScoops and the Diamond Awards are owned by Coastal Media Group and Rob Patz.

J.D. SUMNER LIVING LEGEND AWARD
This is a once-in-a-lifetime honor to recognize the living performer whom the fans feel has made the greatest contribution to Southern Gospel  music over a career spanning 25 years or more. Previous winners are not eligible to be nominated. Anyone from artists to industry professionals

Creekside 2019 Begins with a Bang

Creekside Gospel Music Convention 2019 has begun in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The kick-off concert on Sunday night, Oct. 27, was well attended and a great experience for those in attendance. An attentive crowd became a part of the first Creekside Live DVD, as the Pine Ridge Boys hosted a boisterous concert to celebrate the event. The Chordsmen Quartet also appeared at this concert as part of the Classic Artists Music Group. The taping was held at the Mill Creek auditorium, a satellite venue for Creekside.

The main site for Creekside is the Smoky Mountain Convention Center, where the convention was in full swing on Monday, Oct. 28. Morning events featured the Pine Ridge Boys Breakfast, artist load-in, and the Nashville Heartsong Showcase. In the afternoon, some attendees took part in the Radio Promotions Seminar with Richard Hyssong, Tiffany Noecker, Vonda Armstrong. Joy

Holden began the inaugural Pine Ridge BoysSinging on the Square in front of the Smoky Mountain Convention Center, where a lovely dinner was whipped up and served free to the first 100 fans.

The evening concert at the Smoky Mountain center began at 5:00 p.m., featuring the Down East Boys, Hyssongs, The Bibletones, and guest preacher, Pastor Bill Bailey. The Dr. Jerry Goff Honors highlighted the career of Troy Burns. Midnight prayer was hosted by Tim and Missy Kinchen in the lobby of the Ramada Inn.

The 2019 Diamond Award Top 10 voting is nearing completion. Vote HERE The journey for this year began in February with the call for nominees for each Southern, Country, and Bluegrass gospel category. Those nominees were compiled to create the top 10 and voters have been streaming toward the site to make their preferences known. Musical weekend features songwriting  showcase

Cookeville, Tenn.  — Coastal Media is pleased to present Christian Country Expo ’19 in Cookeville, Tenn., June 20 – 22, 2019. Welcoming over 30 Christian Country artists and hundreds of fans, Christian Country Expo is three days and nights of music, shopping and family fun, held at the Quality Inn Convention Center, 970 S. Jefferson Ave.
CCX ’19 will feature fan favorite artists such as Tonja Rose and Jessica Horton during daytime and evening concerts, along with a large exhibit hall filled with artist booths. A new addition is a songwriting course for aspiring artists.
“I’m so excited to be a part of this wonderful event,” says Rose. “I’m totally pumped about having the opportunity to work alongside of Jessica Horton, mentoring and writing with some of Tennessee’s young songwriters. It’s gonna be a blast!”
Horton agrees. “I am so excited to be a part of the Christian Country Expo this year. I am especially excited about the new songwriting workshop that Tonja Rose and I are crafting for the kids in the community.
“Music is one of the best ways to understand ourselves, our faith, and the world around us,” continues Horton. “Songs tell our stories, and each generation tells its own tale. This workshop is designed to teach the students about the songwriting process, guide them through crafting a song of their own and empowering the songwriters of the future!”

Down East Boys to appear at Creekside 2019

Pigeon Forge, Tenn. (Nov. 12, 2018) — Creekside Gospel Music Convention 2019 is in the planning stages after a very successful 2018 event. Rob Patz,  director, is thrilled to announce that the Down East Boys from North Carolina will be appearing at the 2019 event, to be held from Oct. 27 – 31 in the Smoky Mountain Convention Center, Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

The Down East Boys are currently enjoying the success of their single release, “Beat-Up Bible,” from the album, “One Day In The Past.” Members include Doug Pittman, Ricky Carden, Daryl Paschal and newest member, bass singer Zac Barham.
Down East Boys to appear at Creekside 2019Ricky Carden has been with the DEB for 28 years. “I am excited to be a part of Creekside 2019,” says Carden. “I have watched this event grow over the past few years and am honored to be included in the great list of artists!”
Patz is thrilled that the DEB have already signed on for 2019, on top of all the great artists returning from 2018. “I have always wanted Ricky and his boys to appear on the Creekside stage,” says Patz. “I know they will be welcomed into the Creekside family with open arms.”
