DIAMOND AWARDS HONORS VETERAN GOSPEL SOLOIST

Nashville, TN November 13, 2012-  October 29-31 marked the 1st Annual Creekside Gospel Music Convention held in Pigeon Forge, TN.  The convention, in conjunction with SGN Scoops Digital magazine, served as host to the fan voted Diamond Awards.  Through various nomination and voting rounds, Ann Downing was among the top five finalists for the award going into the awards ceremony on October 30th.

“You’re kidding.” were Ann’s first words upon hearing her name announced as the winner.  She went on to say, “I never thought I’d win!  I just came to support the cause.”

During her impromptu acceptance speech, Downing shared her desire to lend her talents to gospel music’s history, “I love this music.  Singing gospel music was my dream, and I have sung with some of the best.  I want make sure I do all I can to preserve the heritage for generations to come.  Thank you to everyone who voted.”  Downing’s career began with The Speer Family, continued with The Downing’s where she became only the second Female Vocalist of the Year in the history of the Dove Awards, and continues today in her solo ministry which encompasses both singing and speaking.

2012 DIAMOND AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED AT CREEKSIDE GOSPEL MUSIC CONVENTION

SEATTLE, Wa.(November 8, 2012) – SGN Scoops presented the 2012 Diamond Awards
at the inaugural Creekside Gospel Music Convention on October 30 at Pigeon Forge,
Tennessee. The awards ceremony was hosted by Daniel Ball of the Ball Brothers along
with singer/songwriter Christy Sutherland and graced with such talent as Gerald and
Jason Crabb, Jeff and Sheri Easter, Phil Stacey, Crosby Lane, David Bryan and Watts,
Rowsey and Bean and several others.

“The Diamond Awards was a wonderful time of uplifting and encouraging the talented
artists in Christian music,” said Rob Patz, CEO of Coastal Media Group and publisher
of SGN Scoops. “We were honored by incredible performances by all of our featured
artists, as well as great hosting by Christy and Daniel. It’s always an event geared to the
appreciation of our Gospel music friends, but more than that, it’s a time of worship to
God, the Giver of all of our talents. We can’t wait until next year!”

Ball Brothers To Appear At Creekside Gospel Music Convention

Seattle, WA (October 15, 2012) – SGN Scoops and Coastal Media Group are pleased to announce that the popular Ball Brothers will be performing at the Diamond Awards presentation to be held at Pigeon Forge on October 30, 2012. The Ball Brothers, recipients of the 2011 Singing News Horizon Group Of The Year Award, are a progressive young vocal group that performs across the country and around the world. They are the latest addition to an exciting line-up of artists scheduled to appear at the Creekside Gospel Music Convention to be held at Pigeon Forge from October 29 through 30, 2012.

“We’re excited and looking forward to the opportunity of singing at this year’s Diamond Awards,” said Daniel Ball. “This will mark the Ball Brother’s first appearance at this event and we can’t wait to introduce our music to everyone and make new friends.”

Ava Kasich Continues to Broaden Horizons

{EHA-Nashville, TN} Branson’s favorite female voice has again stayed busy with her recent involvement in the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY. Ava was interviewed on the popular Gospel Music Today show with Ken Grady, interviewed by Mary Fay Jackson at Family Friendly TV, SGNScoops and radio shows like “The Branson Gospel Groove” with hosts, Jerry & Sharon Mays. Ava was also a part of the Patterson Promotions Radio Showcase that took place in the Exposition Center of Freedom Hall. In addition, she was featured on the Paradigm Music Group Showcase in the Expo Center that was hosted by Calvin Gann and the Gann Family. More accolades include a 2012 Diamond Awards nomination for album of the year, “Stones,” in the Christian Country genre. The Diamond Awards ceremony is scheduled as a part of the Creekside Gospel Music Convention to be held in Pigeon Forge, TN at the end of October. Debut Perfomance From CROSBY LANE At Diamond Awards

10-03-2012- To debut a brand new group has been a long-standing tradition of The Diamond Awards and this year, there is no exception. With much excitement SGNScoops announces the official debut performance of Christian Music’s newest group, Crosby Lane! Crosby Lane is based out of Nashville and consists of five music veterans, Erin Johnston, Tonja Rose, Michaela Lindsey, John Lemonis, and E.J. Ford. The group CROSBY LANE is named for the most prolific hymn writer of all time, Fanny Crosby.  The music of CROSBY LANE is enthusiastic, and includes fresh arrangements of hymn classics and powerful renditions of praise and worship songs. It is about the music that has moved – and still moves – generations to worship the Lord!

“The Diamond Awards has always been known as a place to introduce new artists and we are tremendously excited to introduce to our audience, Crosby Lane,” says Rob Patz,owner of the Diamond Awards.

Group member, John Lemonis adds, “Crosby Lane is absolutely thrilled to be debuting at the 2012 Diamond Awards! It is the perfect place for our first public performance. Creekside Gospel Music Convention Welcomes Ken & Jean Grady, Ava Kasich, Jim Sheldon and Shannon Knight!

Plans for the Creekside Gospel Music Convention are in full swing! We are excited to announce Ken and Jean Grady of Gospel Music Today will be part of the event. “We’re excited about the Creekside Gospel Music Convention,” Ken shares, “We’ve worked with Rob Patz many times and we’re expecting a first class event.

Branson’s favorite female voice,  Ava Kasich confirmed her attendance as well: “I am so thrilled to be a part of The Creekside Gospel Music Convention in Pigeon Forge, TN!  What a wonderful time of fellowship and the greatest music in the world- SOUTHERN GOSPEL MUSIC!!!  I am honored to be nominated for the 2012 Diamond Award for Christian Country Album of the Year for STONES. See you there!”

Christian Country artist, Jim Sheldon announced he would join the celebration too! “The folks at SGNScoops do such a great job with this awards program. I am honored to be included and totally shocked and excited to see my name in three categories for the Diamond Awards,” Sheldon offers.

Crossroads/Skyland Label recording artist, Shannon Knight is looking forward to meeting gospel music fans during the Creekside Gospel Music Convention! Shannon appears weekly on the Trinity Broadcasting Network and has appeared with The Daryl Williams Trio on Gaither Homecoming Videos. Shannon is very excited about appearing at the Creekside Gospel Music Convention where he will be performing songs from his brand new solo project, BROKEN AND BLESSED. Shannon will also be performing his radio single, “Good News” which is soon to be released to radio. Shannon looks forward to meeting with all of the gospel music fans at this great event!

SGNScoops Presents “CREEKSIDE GOSPEL MUSIC CONVENTION” Home of the 2012 Diamond Awards

SGNScoops announces plans are now underway for a new event called “Creekside Gospel Music Convention!” The three day event will take place  in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee on October 29,30 31! The festivities will include Gospel Music, the 2012 Diamond Awards and a special night of celebrating Ms. Lou Hildreth’s SEVENTY FIVE YEARS in Gospel Music!  “Please accept this invitation to join me in celebrating my SEVENTY FIVE YEARS IN GOSPEL MUSIC on Monday October 29, 7PM, at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center, Pigeon Forge,Tennessee,” says Mrs.Hildreth. “Come share the music, laughter, and fellowship.  Everyone is welcome!!  The fabulous DIAMOND AWARDS are scheduled for Tuesday night at the same venue. Free Admission to all events.”

Rob Patz, publisher of SGNScoops Magazine, owner of the Diamond Awards says, “I believe God opened the door for our new three day event.
