NASHVILLE, Tenn.— “I Chose Me,” a poignant new ballad performed by Sandy Hagee Parker of southern gospel’s acclaimed The Hagees and penned and produced by Cornerstone Church worship leader Zachery Smith, bows digitally today via Difference Media/Capitol Christian Distribution. All proceeds from the single—available at iTunes, among other online outlets— benefit John Hagee Ministries’ Sanctuary of Hope, a home for unwed mothers and orphaned children currently under construction in San Antonio, Texas.

Written from the perspective of a woman struggling with grief and guilt, “I Chose Me” not only sheds light on the abortion epidemic in America, but Smith hopes the song will serve as a reminder of the life-affirming alternatives to abortion.

“This song was a definite departure for me,“ said Smith, a Cornerstone Church worship leader. “To write about the pain without portraying a ‘happily ever after’ closure makes for a very somber writing session. Trying to encapsulate the first-person perspective of a woman in this situation was a challenge I was honored to accept. The Sanctuary of Hope exists to prevent women from walking down this dark path of pain and regret, so that— in and of itself— is the happy ending of the song. This doesn’t have to happen. There is help. There is hope, a Sanctuary of Hope.”

Pastors John and Matt Hagee helped break ground for Sanctuary of Hope last month. The multi-purpose facility, designed to help save the lives of unborn babies and provide a safe place of hope for women, will ultimately equip mothers and children for a better and brighter future.

“As Christians we are mandated to help those in need,” said best-selling author and Cornerstone Church founder and senior pastor, John Hagee. “This facility will not save every mother and every child from poverty, but as my Jewish friends have taught me, if you save one life it is as if you saved an entire world. We are going to do what we can for everyone we can.”

John Hagee is founder and senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, a non-denominational evangelical church with more than 22,000 active members. He also founded John Hagee Ministries, which broadcasts the Gospel on radio and television throughout America and the world, and is the founder of Christians United for Israel, which has grown to become the largest Christian pro-Israel organization in the United States—with over 3.2 million members. One of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world, Christians United for Israel provides a national platform through which every pro-Israel church, parachurch organization, ministry or individual in America can speak and act with one voice in support of Israel in matters related to biblical issues. John Hagee has authored 39 books, seven of which were on the New York Times best-sellers list, including the 2013 blockbuster Four Blood Moons.

Difference Media, a division of John Hagee Ministries, features some of the leading names in Gospel music, including Ivan Parker, Canton Junction, Ricardo Sanchez, Matt Hagee, Tim Duncan, Aaron & Amanda Crabb, The Cornerstone Sanctuary Choir, John Hagee and The Hagees.

The Hagees Showcase Labor Of Love June 10

Written by SGN Scoops Staff on May 29, 2014 – 7:53 am -

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Love, the latest studio recording from one of Gospel music’s most beloved families, The Hagees, Hageebows June 10 from Difference Media (Capitol Christian Distribution). Produced by multi-Dove Award winner Aaron Crabb (Aaron & Amanda Crabb, Canton Junction), the 12-song set features original selections as well as new arrangements of timeless favorites.

Highlights of Love include the classic, “Precious Lord, Take My Hand,” featuring Pastor John Hagee, group patriarch and world-renowned evangelist; the contemporary country “When Love Comes To Town” (feat. Matthew Hagee); “That’s What Love Looks Like” (feat. Sandy Parker); the powerful affirmation of “I’ll Never Leave You” (feat. Tina Ketterling); and the Dottie Rambo-penned “I’ve Never Been This Homesick Before,” also featuring Pastor John Hagee and showcasing guest vocals from Dove Award-winning quartet Canton Junction.

The Hagees’ Sandy Parker says of the album’s overarching theme, “The song ‘That’s What Love Looks Like’ is a poignant tune about different types of love: the love of a spouse, the love of a mother, the love of a Savior. Ultimately, love is what we feel for each other as a family, our music is a labor of love, and we sing about a Savior who loves us more than we could ask, hope or imagine. Love encapsulates all of that, and I hope the project communicates the same to its listeners. To know that someone may experience the love of God as a result of listening to our music is a humbling thing that feeds my soul.”

“It is always the most fun to sing with my family,” she adds. “No matter how old we get or how many kids we have, at the end of the day when we sing together, everything else goes away and it’s just my dad, my siblings and me singing about Jesus.”

Comprised of Pastor John Hagee, his son Pastor Matthew Hagee, and daughters Sandy Parker and Tina Ketterling, The Hagees’ storied Gospel career has spanned more than two decades, boasting multiple acclaimed recordings and international appearances.

THE STORY

(NASHVILLE, TN) – Difference Media is excited to present their artists during Cornerstone Church’s annual Christmas program. This year, “The Story,” will be broadcast live via internet for all to experience on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 6:30 pm CST at www.GETV.org. In addition, the program can be streamed online for six days after the event. The Christmas Program, titled, “The Story,” was written by Director of Cornerstone Visual & Performing Arts, John Gross. After more than 30 years of directing the music ministry, which consists 200+ member choir and orchestra, he has taken on the position of directing a brand-new and very exciting department within Cornerstone’s Music Department.

Now under the direction of seasoned keys player, Justin Ellis (The Perrys, The Crabb Family, Aaron and Amanda Crabb), the department is ready to pull back the curtain to show the true meaning of Christmas. Highlights include a powerful “Sing We Gloria” as it sets the stage for all that is to come. Next, Difference Media artist, Sandy Parker, of The Hagees, delivers a stunning rendition of “Tonight” as the star reveals where the Messiah is to be born. Much like her current radio single, A Baby Changes Everything, from the Holiday album, The Hagees: Christmas this song is sure to please.

“Glory to God,” a song originally penned by Matthew Hagee with Aaron Wilburn and performed by The Hagees provokes the listener to contemplate the true meaning of Christmas with lyrics like, “More than a babe, he is the King, He’s the ruler of everything, My fallen soul, He reconciled, Now I’ll sing with the angel choir.”

As “The Story – Part Two” begins, viewers are transported in time as the Magi learn of a star, Mary and Joseph experience tremendous encounters with angels and the Holy Spirit alike, Herod learns of the King, and mankind is given hope.

“Be Born In Me,” sang by Amanda Crabb, is a beautiful and passionate portrayal of the emotions we can only imagine Mary to have been experiencing after discovering SHE would carry the Son of God.

What viewer’s once only experienced as a “bible character,” they will now feel come to life as they watch intimate encounters with the Holy Spirit, moments of total revelation and celebration as well as the fear that come along with a situation of this magnitude.

Tune in on Sunday, December 16th, through www.getv.org to watch a live stream of the night’s performances.
