The Nelons Announce Exclusive Single Release

Jason Clark and the rest of The Nelons

Kelly Nelon Clark and all members of Christian music family, the Nelons, have been posting over the last couple of days about issues being experienced by their family. The most concerning is the heart problems that Jason Clark is currently experiencing. He certainly needs our prayer as he has been in and out of the hospital.

In his most recent post on Facebook, Jason explains the seriousness of his health problem.

“Quick Update:
My cardiologist let me come home last night. I will return tomorrow for a check up, and Tuesday to meet with the surgeon. All the “experts” tell me after the surgery and recovery that I will be feeling like a 20 year old again. I am still praying, seeking counsel, just because I am not so eager to have open heart surgery. I feel completely fine until I have a spasm and immediately I’m reminded I have a blood flow issue around my heart. I will be on the road this weekend and I am monitoring my bpm very closely. I have extremely low BP and my heart rate stays at a very calm rate but that’s normal for me even under stressful circumstances.
My stress test yesterday only got my bpm up to 154 and they wanted to monitor it at 175. Just couldn’t get it there.
Today I’m back in my office doing some work and hanging out at the farm.

Love you all and appreciate the prayers more than anything.” — Jason Clark — Nov. 21, 2019

Please join all of us in praying for this Godly man.

IMC CONCERTS ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR PRAISEFEST BRANSON FALL RETREAT

IMC CONCERTS ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR PRAISEFEST BRANSON FALL RETREAT

Johnson City, Tennessee – Prominent concert promotions company, IMC has announced plans to present a new Praisefest event in Branson, MO, in the fall of 2020. Eight years ago the successful promotions team conceived the idea of presenting an exciting weekend of Gospel music in the Ozark Mountains town of Branson, Missouri, a city that is famously known for its diverse entertainment theaters. That first year the event took place at the state-of-the-art Mansion Theatre.

Due to the overwhelming success of the event, which has been held annually each Spring for the past seven years, IMC Concerts has announced plans to  produce a Praisefest event that will also take place in the Fall of the year. The new Praisefest Branson Fall Retreat will take place October 26 through 28, 2020, and will also be held at the Mansion Theater.
“We think this new event will be a great choice for people who have told us their schedules simply will not allow them to come to our Spring event,” states IMC President Landon Beene. “We also believe many of the people who attend Praisefest Branson every year in March will want to come back again for the Fall Retreat because they love it so much.”
The 2020 Praisefest Branson Fall Retreat will include performances by such popular recording artists as Greater Vision, The Triumphant Quartet, The Hoppers, The Isaacs, The Whisnants, The Perrys, Brian Free & Assurance, The Nelons, The Ball Brothers, Joseph Habedank and The Erwins. Renowned speaker, Jim Cymbala, Pastor of The Brooklyn Tabernacle in Brooklyn, N.Y., will also be featured, as well as popular singer/songwriter and Christian comedian, Mark Lowry. “We’re really excited to be able to provide another opportunity for people to get together for a few days to enjoy some great Gospel music, lots of laughs, great fellowship and wonderful worship experiences in a unique atmosphere,” states Greater Vision’s Gerald Wolfe.
“This event has the potential to be the largest Gospel music event of its kind in the Midwest during the Fall season,” Beene states. “We are expecting seating to fill quickly so we are recommending people reserve their seats sooner, rather than later.” Registrations for this new event will begin Monday, October 7, 2019.
Make plans now to be a part of the first ever 2020 Praisefest Branson Fall Retreat. Complete information regarding the event is available at www.imcconcerts.com or www.PraisefestBranson.com.

COUNTRY FAITH — SOUTHERN GOSPEL SALUTES THE GENRE’S BIGGEST SONGS, PAST AND PRESENT

COUNTRY FAITH SOUTHERN GOSPEL SALUTES THE GENRE'S BIGGEST SONGS, PAST AND PRESENT

COUNTRY FAITH SOUTHERN GOSPEL SALUTES THE GENRE’S BIGGEST SONGS, PAST AND PRESENT

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Country Faith Southern Gospel, a new collection featuring 15 timeless songs from some of the genre’s most beloved artists, is now available from Curb | Word Entertainment.  Showcasing a range of favorites, past and present, Country Faith Southern Gospel is highlighted by classics from such legends as The Happy Goodmans (“The Lighthouse”) and The Cathedrals (“Step Into The Water”), alongside Mark Lowry’s “What’s Not to Love,” The Nelons’ “Oh For A Thousand Tongues” and The Crabb Family’s career-defining hit, “Through The Fire.”

With eight albums to date and $2.5 million in retail sales, the Country Faith music line—part of a multi-faceted brand including books, jewelry and other products—unveils this debut Southern Gospel compilation following the success of Country Faith Hymns, Country Faith Love Songs and Country Faith Christmas, among other music titles. Previous releases have featured many of the format’s superstars, including Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, George Strait and Brad Paisley.

“Southern Gospel music is one of the genres I grew up listening to, and I love it,” says Deborah Evans Price, award-winning journalist and cofounder of Country Faith, LLC. “There are so many Southern Gospel songs that have been anchors in my life, and many of them are on this project. I feel like when people hear this collection, they’re going to be moved, encouraged and comforted. These are songs that people have known and loved and made a part of their lives, and I’m honored to have them on the Country Faith Southern Gospel collection.”

“Brand New Star,” a poignant tune from multi-genre icons The Oak Ridge Boys, resonated deeply with Evans Price following her mother’s death. “That one has been such a light and comfort for me after losing Mom,” she explains. “It’s the closing song on the album, and it will always be special to me.”

Longtime Southern Gospel fans will appreciate the inclusion of Greater Vision’s toe-tapping hit “My Name is Lazarus,” while The Florida Boys, Karen Peck & New River, Legacy Five and Canton Junction are also featured on the new release. Additionally, the project includes inspired performances from favorite soloists Jason Crabb, Michael English, Joseph Habedank and Janet Paschal.

“We are thrilled to have our song ‘God’s Got a Better Plan’ included on Country Faith Southern Gospel,” says Matthew Hagee, founding member of Canton Junction. “Music from The Cathedrals, The Happy Goodmans and The Oak Ridge Boys, along with so many others, filled our home growing up, so being on the same record as these Gospel music pioneers is an honor we do not take lightly.”

A sought-after journalist and recipient of the Country Music Association’s prestigious Media Achievement Award in 2013, Deborah Evans Price has interviewed numerous luminaries, including Dolly Parton, Don Henley, Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Dennis Quaid and Tim Tebow. She is the author of three books and serves as a contributing writer for Billboard, Redbook, People, Sounds Like Nashville, First for Women and Woman’s World, among other outlets.

Country Faith, LLC partners Deborah Evans Price, Bob DeMoss and Wildfire7 launched the successful brand with Evans Prices’ acclaimed books Country Faith (2013) and Country Faith Christmas (2015). In addition to eight full-length albums, the brand’s growing catalog includes books, jewelry and other items celebrating country, Christian and Gospel music. Time Life Music features the Country Faith book on national television as a bonus product in its Faith, Hope and Country collection, while other brand partners include Curb | Word Entertainment, Regnery Faith Publications, Cracker Barrel, Bob Siemon Designs and New Day Christian Distributors.

Country Faith Southern Gospel is available atiTunes and Amazon, among other digital retailers, as well as in select stores across the country. For further information, visitcountryfaith.com orturningpointpr.com.

Autumn Nelon Clark is a Southern Gospel Sweetheart

Most individuals dream of living a life that will make this world a better place. They hope that they can leave a legacy behind that reflects a life of positive influence. This dream is one that Rex Nelon accomplished. It was his vision 30 years ago, which sparked the national ministry of the Nelons. It was also his influence that helped begin the careers of some of Gospel Music’s most beloved artists, such as Karen Peck Gooch and Janet Paschal.

For years, Rex Nelon’s daughter, Kelly, sang alto alongside him. Now, Kelly sings with her two beautiful daughters, Amber and Autumn, and her husband, Jason Clark. It is the legacy of this Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame inductee that is still being lived out through his daughter and granddaughters. I had the privilege of interviewing Autumn Nelon Clark, Kelly’s youngest daughter.

Born on January 20, 1997, Autumn is now 20 years old. While she has always been behind the scenes of her family’s career, she has recently taken on the role of singer/mandolin player for the group.

“For a while it was just the three of them – my mom, dad and sister,” Amber says. “But a few years ago, my dad got sick, and I had to fill in for him. I’ve been up there ever since.”

While Autumn has watched her family walk onto stages all of her life, it never made it easier when it was her turn to finally take the stage. The young lady confesses that it was more than a little intimidating for her to sing in front of people for the first time.
