Harmony Road is a weekly Southern Gospel TV program hosted by “Singing News” publisher and Solid Gospel Radio host Les Butler. This week’s program originates from the lobby of the Music Road Hotel in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Harmony Road can be found each week on The Heartland Network Sunday mornings at 8:00 Eastern as well as Saturday afternoons on WATC57 in Atlanta, Saturday evenings on theWALKtv network (including streaming and ROKU) and www.wmjn29.com. Great Variety of Southern Gospel Music on Harmony Road

Signal Mountain, TN (January 24, 2013):  This week’s Harmony Road TV lineup includes a variety of great Southern Gospel music including quartet, family groups and unique acapella.  This week’s featured songwriter is Dianne Wilkinson. There are also exclusive behind the scenes interviews.

Originating from the lobby of the Music Road Hotel in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, the program begins with a rousing rendition of “Jesus Made a Believer Out of Me” penned by Dianne Wilkinson and performed by The Kingdom Heirs.  Also featured are uplifting songs from top family groups, The Bowlings, The Crist Family and the Whisnants.  Closing out the program is a unique rendition of “Goodbye World Goodbye” by acapella group The Penny Loafers, featuring a cameo by the songwriter, Mosie Lister.

The Penny Loafers Complete Debut Mansion Project

Franklin, TN (Mansion Entertainment) April 19th, 2011 – The Penny Loafers were recently in the Mansion Entertainment’s state-of-the-art studio putting the finishing touches on their debut Mansion project. This new project will include a capella arrangements of traditional Southern Gospel songs as well as having their vocal styling’s on new, original songs with full instrumentation. The title cut, “Baptized On Sunday”, will be the first single shipped to Southern Gospel radio in late spring.

A live DVD taping is scheduled in the coming months at TBN’s Trinity City in Hendersonville, TN. The taping will result in a DVD offering of the new project, ‘Baptized On Sunday’, as well as feature the group on the ‘A Country Campmeeting’ program for prime-time airing on TBN this fall.  Bill Traylor of Mansion Entertianment comments, “Simply offering a new CD of The Penny Loafers would not do them justice, this is one of those groups that you MUST see perform in order to fully appreciate them. That’s why we’re going to package their debut Mansion project in a CD/DVD offering so Southern Gospel music fans can witness for themselves the excitement and enthusiasm these guys bring to the stage when they perform.”

The Penny Loafers Nominated For ‘ Best Religious Album’

Franklin, TN (Mansion Entertainment) February 2nd, 2011 – Mansion Records recording artist, The Penny Loafers, have been nominated for ‘Best Religious Album’ for their independent release “Ever Present Help” by the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARA) .  These awards are coordinated by the Contemporary A Cappella Society of America (CASA) and award winners will be announced April 1, 2011.

In the time The Penny Loafers have been together, they have gained a loyal following, appealing to young and old alike through a blend of musical styles and tight a cappella harmonies. From 50’s Doo-Wop to Contemporary and Southern gospel, The Penny Loafers’ repertoire includes a healthy dose of original material and fresh arrangements of traditional favorites. Add some impressive vocal calisthenics and you have the “Loafer Style,” a unique, crowd-pleasing sound that has frequently earned The Penny Loafers a standing ovation at their performances. In 2010, the group  celebrated 25 years. The current group consists of Alan Pike (bass), Larry Nichols (baritone), Kevin Slemp (2nd tenor) and Michael Hunt (1st tenor) have been singing together since 1994.

The Penny Loafers are currently in the Mansion studios working on their new project that will include a capella arrangements of traditional Southern Gospel songs as well as having their vocal stylings on new, original songs with full instrumentation. A new single is currently playing on Southern Gospel radio entitled, “Jesus, You’re So Wonderful”.
