Written by SGN Scoops on July 12, 2011 – 8:45 am -

Jim Hefner, manager of The Southmen Quartet has announced that plans have been finalized for their new weekly TV show
entitled “Singing Down South”.  Filming will begin in early August.  The Southmen will be the host group.  There will be two
other artists appearing regularly on each show, those artists have yet to be selected.  It will also feature guests each week
and some humorous stories by some of gospel music personalities.

Hefner stated that if you do not like southern gospel music, you will not like this program because it will be southern through
and through.  It will look like southern gospel, sound like southern gospel because it is southern gospel.   The program will
air on cable systems throughout the southeast and talks are underway to have the program carried via satellite by a major
cable network.
