Christmas Jubilee Features Nashville Artists — Watch on Internet

MEDIA ADVISORY, Dec. 1, 2010 /Christian Newswire/ — Celebrate this holiday season by watching some of your favorite Nashville artists sing Christmas songs on the Internet. Inspirational and patriotic singer Cheryl Peach hosts this television special called the Cheryl Peach Christmas Jubilee.

Dan Tyminski leads off our Christmas Jubilee with a classic song written by Mel Torme entitled “A Christmas Song”. Dan Tyminski has won ten Grammy awards. Dan Tyminski is a bluegrass vocalist and instrumentalist best-known as a member of Alison Krauss and Union Station. He is joined in song on our Christmas Jubilee by Charlie Daniels and Nashville friends.

Ryman Auditorium in Nashville was built in 1892 as a Tabernacle. Then in 1943 the Grand Ole Opry began broadcasting from Ryman Auditorium. This is the perfect place for Alan Jackson to sing this hymn about the birth of Jesus called “I Love to Tell the Story”.

Wynton Marsalis is an American jazz and classical trumpeter. He is also the Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center. Wynton Marsalis has nine Grammys. He joins Willie Nelson in a nostalgic performance of “Georgia on My Mind”.

Charlie Daniels and friends take turns singing “Joy to the World”. Joining Charlie Daniels you’ll hear Nashville artists Kathy Mattea, Aaron Tippons, Dan Tyminski, Suzann and Evelyn Cox, and the bluegrass band the Grascals.

Cheryl Peach sings three Christmas hymns during our Christmas Jubilee, namely; “Away in a Manger”, “O Come O Come Emmanuel”, and “Silent Night”. All three arrangements are based upon the original hymnal four-part harmony.

The Smoky Mountains are a popular place to visit throughout the holiday season. Gatinburg, TN transforms into a Christmas wonderland. Dollywood as well as the entire Smoky Mountains region comes alive with gospel singing during the Christmas season. Nobody better represents Christmas in the Smoky Mountains than Dolly Parton. Providing a grand finale for the Cheryl Peach Christmas Jubilee, Dolly Parton sings a thought-provoking song called “Hello God”.
