Back Home Signs Recording Agreement

Nashville, TN (December 13, 2013) – Award winning and multi-talented Gospel group, Back Home, has signed a long term recording agreement with Cross Country Records. Back Home and Cross Country have partnered for the last 5 years and have turned out some of today’s finest Southern/Country Gospel records.

“We just feel like if something is working, then keep doing it,” says Jimmy Layne of Back Home. Jimmy continued “Cross Country has believed in us and our ministry from the very beginning, and they have produced us great music to be able reach the lost and encourage the saved.”

Jeff King and Chris Latham, owners of Cross Country, are completely hands on in the record making process. They each play, engineer, and produce each song on every album. They are both Nashville veterans, with accolades of their own. Jeff has toured with Reba McEntire for several years and is one of music’s most in demand session players.

Chris has engineered projects for many of today’s top country acts and is an accomplished musician. Chris Latham commented “I feel privileged to be connected to Back Home’s ministry. Back Home has had several songs on multiple charts, including the Singing News Chart, in the last year, and Jennifer is quickly becoming one of Gospel’s most sought after new writers and has co-written with some of Country and Gospel’s most successful writers. Back Home is made up of husband and wife Jimmy and Jennifer Layne and Stacy Pearcy.

In other big news for Back Home , Singing News Magazine has released the Top 40 songs of 2013 and Jennifers song “You Might Have Heard of Me” is number #27. Congratulations Jennifer!
