Smoky Mountain Gospel Showcase to be featured at Creekside 2017

Pigeon Forge, Tenn. (October 16, 2017) – Creekside 2017 is proud to present the Smoky Mountain Gospel Showcase, October 30, at Pigeon Forge, Tenn. For the sixth consecutive year, the Creekside Gospel Music Convention will run Oct. 30 to Nov. 2 at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in beautiful Pigeon Forge. Over 40 Southern, Country and Bluegrass Gospel music artists will participate in the week-long convention. Most tickets for this event are free.

On Mon. Oct. 30, Creekside will host a daytime Gospel music showcase from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center. Artists include Tennessee’s own Eternal Vision, Leonard and Joyce Repass, the GloryBound Singers, Bishop Curtis Manning and Angela Marie.
“As an artist that lives here in East Tennessee, I am so excited about Creekside 2017,” states Gospel singer Angela Marie. “Creekside is an amazing Gospel music event that has artists coming from across the nation to uplift the name of Jesus. We are super excited to participate in the Smoky Mountain Gospel Showcase on Monday, October 30th, 2017. Come and join us.”
Every evening, concerts will begin at 5:00 p.m. Special guests include David Ring, Brian Free and Assurance, Dr. Jerry and Jan Goff, the Nelons, the Hyssongs, Eric Bennett, the Browders, Soul’d Out, and many more. Creekside also includes the presentation of the 2017 Diamond Awards on Tuesday, Oct. 31. Atlanta station WATC – TV 57 will be taping this event for future programming.

Midnight Prayer 2017

Pigeon Forge, TN – Creekside Gospel Music Convention welcomes the return of Midnight Prayer. Fans and artists will gather together after the concerts before heading to sleep. They will pray and sing and fellowship with each other, seeing hearts touched and lives changed. “Midnight Prayer is a very special time at Creekside,” says Rob Patz of SGN Scoops. “It really gives us all a chance to respond to the message we have heard during the singing all day long. I can’t wait to see what happens this year!

Vonda Easley adds, ” I am so excited that midnight prayer is not only back, but back by popular demand. I am thrilled to be part of an event where artists can come together and pray for one another. Creekside is not just a Convention, it is an experience that you do not want to miss!

Pigeon Forge, TN – Creekside Gospel Music Convention 2017 welcomes the return of one of our favorite events, Midnight Prayer. Last year, fans and artists gathered together after the concerts before heading to sleep. They prayed and sang and had fellowship with each other, seeing hearts touched and lives changed. Everyone so enjoyed these services that Creekside is bringing them back in 2017.

Eric Bennett to be honored by Dr. Jerry Goff at Creekside 2017

Pigeon Forge, Tenn. – Multi-award winning bass singer, Eric Bennett of Triumphant Quartet, will be honored with the Life Achievement Award from SGNScoops Magazine this fall at the Creekside Gospel Music Convention 2017. Eric Bennett has been with Dove Award and Grammy Nominated Triumphant since their beginning in 2003, at the same time being nominated and awarded Favorite Bass Singer many times from different Christian outlets.

Eric Bennett is a former pastor who still has a pastor’s heart and has genuine compassion for both audience and artist alike. Bennett comments, “One of the highest achievements is to be honored by your peers. I am truly honored to receive the Life Achievement Award from the SGNScoops Magazine.” The Life Achievement award will be presented to Bennett at Creekside on Monday, October 30, by Rob Patz, Publisher of SGNScoops Magazine and Dr. Jerry Goff.

Dr. Goff comments, “I am excited to participate in giving the SGN Scoops Life Achievement Award to a personal friend and a truly deserving artist and minister.” Dr. Goff and his wife Jan will be at Creekside for the entire Convention, October 30 through November 2 at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center, Pigeon Forge.

“I am excited to be able to honor my friend Eric,” says Rob Pat. “I invite all of our friends to join us at the end of October to show how much we appreciate everyone’s favorite bass singer.”

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee   – The momentum for Creekside Gospel Music Convention 2017 is growing as the roster begins to grow and special events are put into place. Rob Patz, CEO of Coastal Media, sponsor of Creekside, urges fans to book their lodging now. Creekside 2017 takes place from October 30 through November 2 at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Tickets are free but must be reserved.

“Most fans want to stay at the Ramada Inn, which is part of the Smoky Mountain Convention Center, the headquaters of Creekside 2017,” says Patz. “We have an exceptional deal for attendees who book early. For those arriving on Monday the 30th and leaving Friday morning, the 3rd, the cost can be as low as $200 per person, based on double occupancy.  That is an incredible at any time, but especially during a music event in Pigeon Forge.
