One Northwest Florida city got an early start on its July Fourth celebration.

The town of Bonifay is having the 12th annual patriotic salute. It included plenty of free food, music and of course fireworks.

A crowd estimated at more than five-thousand packed the Holmes County Fairgrounds. The county’s ministerial association helped make the event possible.

“We’re really excited because this is the third-year of doing this in Holmes County. The Holmes County ministerial association all the churches partnered together and the entire event and everything is free. A time to celebrate as Americans,” said Rev. Tommy Moore.
