Poca, WV (Feb 28, 2011) The Goodwins have recently released a brand new single to radio stations nationwide. The song entitled, “Walk On The Water” is the first cut from their brand new, upcoming CD. The song was written by lead singer, Martha Drake, who is well known within the industry for her songwriting talents. It was released to radio on the Pathlight Promotions CD for Radio Vol 2011-02, as well as on the Crown Records Radio Compilation. Both discs are arriving at radio stations this month.Their new project, tentatively titled “Family Traditions”, will include primarily original material from Martha’s pen, along with some classic favorites. This new CD brings a big change for the group by adding a new sound as well as new members to the family group. Martha’s 14 year old son Brandon Drake will be featured on a selection as well as her 6 year old daughter Katie. “We are really excited about this long overdue, project. We are thrilled to be bringing our fans these new songs featuring the next generation of our ministry.” says Martha. The new project has an expected release date of Early Summer 2011.
The Goodwins have had several songs on different Industry charts within the past few years including their previous radio single, “Revival Medley”. It came in at #1 just last week, for the third time, on the popular, fan voted, Southern Gospel Times Top 40 chart.
