We asked Jeff Hawes .. What is your favorite Christmas Memory?
My favorite Christmas memory is spending the last Christmas Eve with my grandma. It was a couple of years ago and the power had gone out on Christmas Eve. We were all gathered around Mawmaw as she opened her gifts by candlelight. She couldn’t see to read the cards, so I opened them for her and read every card to her by the light. She could barely talk as her body was in a great deal of pain. I can still remember the smell of her Este Lauder perfume. That was a Christmas in the dark I will never forget. She was the only light in the room. She passed away the following February but her memory and smell of her sweet perfume live on!!
