This year’s Diamond Awards will be held at Creekside Gospel Music Convention at Pigeon Forge on November 3rd through 6th.
This year we again welcome Channel 57 WATC Atlanta as they cover the Diamond Awards for airing on both TV and internet at a later date. We also welcome Meagan Pledger who will be doing extensive Social Media coverage for the entire Creekside event.

WATC To Cover 2014 Creekside Gospel Music Convention And Diamond Awards
Written by Staff on September 19, 2014 – 1:45 pm -Pigeon Forge, TN.(September 19, 2014) – WATC Television out of Atlanta, Georgia, has announced they will be covering the SGNScoops’ 2014 Creekside Gospel Music Convention and Diamond Awards Celebration at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee on November 3rd and 4th. The television station, which also streams their programs on the web, will be at the Smokey Mountain Convention Center to record the Monday night presentation, “Lou Hildreth Honors Willie Wynn” as well as Tuesday night’s Diamond Award celebration, the event to honor Gospel music’s finest artists as chosen by the readers of SGNScoops digital magazine. Many of these special moments will be shown on a TV Special and viewed online at www.watc.tv at a later date to be announced.
Coastal Media Group is hosting the Creekside Gospel Music Convention, which takes place from the 3rd through the 6th. As well the special events mentioned above, the Convention includes daily Chapel services, specialty showcases and evening concerts.
Patricia Mathis, Vice President of WATC TV, Atlanta’s TV 57, is looking forward to returning to Pigeon Forge. “It’s exciting to once again be a part of the Creekside Gospel Music Convention and for being able to share this with the viewers of WATC TV in Atlanta,” says Mathis. “While it is nothing like being in the audience at Creekside, we are glad that we can bring a little part of Creekside and the great gospel music being performed there to our audience. 2013 Diamond Award Winners Announced At Creekside Gospel Music Convention
Written by SGN Scoops on November 5, 2013 – 12:28 pm -Pigeon Forge, TN.(November 5, 2013) – SGN Scoops and Creekside Gospel Music Convention was proud to present the 2013 Diamond Awards on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The gala celebration was hosted by Tim Lovelace and included appearances by Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Larry Ford, Jeff and Sheri Easter, Gerald Crabb and many others. The evening was also filmed by WATC, Channel 57 of Atlanta, Georgia, to be aired at a later date.
Rob Patz, CEO of Coastal Media Group and publisher of SGNScoops, commented, “The Diamond Awards are always a special time of honoring the Gospel artists that fill our world with the music we love,” said Patz. “It’s great to take this opportunity to thank them and to be able to share the ceremony with fans across the nation and the world by internet. Award Winning Gerald Crabb To Perform At 2013 Diamond Awards
Written by SGN Scoops on October 18, 2013 – 5:38 am -PIGEON FORGE,TN (October 18, 2013) SGNScoops Magazine, home of the Diamond Awards, announced that legendary singer, songwriter, Gerald Crabb will perform at the 22nd Annual Diamond Awards Show on Tuesday, October 29th in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Crabb is also nominated for two Diamond Awards this year, Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year for “Hold On,” made popular by Canton Junction. The Diamond Awards Ceremony will take place at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center and will be taped for a television special set to air later this year on Atlanta’s WATC Channel 57.
“I always look forward to the Diamond Awards,” stated Crabb. “The first award ever won by the Crabb Family was a Diamond Award back in 1996. I like the fact that the Diamond Awards are a fan voted awards ceremony and that anyone can vote. I am honored to be nominated again this year and I am looking forward to performing on the program. It is going to be a fun night!”

The Diamond Awards are hosted by the Creekside Gospel Music Convention. The Convention kicks off on Monday, October 28th with a special evening planned to honor Ed O’Neal of the Dixie Melody Boys. Patterson Music Group will present a musical showcase on Tuesday Morning and the Diamond Awards Ceremony will begin at 8:00 pm. On Wednesday the music continues with an “Old Time Gospel Sing.” The admission is free to all of the events, but reserved seating is strongly encouraged. About Gerald Crabb:
Born in Rosine, Kentucky, Gerald Crabb was singing by age 5, playing guitar by age 11 and preaching by age 16. During Gerald’s career, he has written over 400 songs with 22 of those claiming the number one spot nationally. From Jan. 1998-Dec. 2006, one or more of his songs held the number one position on the national southern gospel chart for 37 months out of a 107-month period.
This singer, songwriter, and preacher has appeared on the Gaither Videos, TBN, The 700 Club, the INSP, CMT & GAC. He has also performed at Carnegie Hall, The Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium, Red Rocks Colorado, and The Brooklyn Tabernacle. Crabb has also received numerous accolades, nominations, honors and awards during his career span including multiple Songwriter of the Year awards as well as the 2011 Dove Award for Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year for “Sometimes I Cry.”

LOU HILDRETH 75TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION TO BE AIRED DECEMBER 29, 2012 ON WATC
