11th Hour releases “I Know It’s Mine,” a powerful declaration of faith

Written by Staff on October 24, 2020 – 4:34 pm -

11th HourArden, North Carolina (October 23, 2020) — For their first single following their acclaimed 2019 release A Lot With A Little, Southern Gospel trio 11th Hour’s “I Know It’s Mine” (Website HERE) proclaims a message of surviving life’s trials — one that’s especially meaningful during these trying times.

“‘I Know It’s Mine’ is a declaration,” says the trio’s Amber Eppinette, who is the featured lead vocalist. “When Kenna Turner West, Jason Cox, and I wrote this song, we had that sentiment in mind. There are many battles out there, but when we follow Jesus Christ, we always have the victory over anything that comes our way.”

From the opening line that speaks of a time when “there are so many battles around us, pressing on every side,” the song is perfectly attuned to the moment, adds Eppinette. “If there ever was a time that we needed to realize we have victory over everything when we stand with Christ, it is now.”

In keeping with the song’s theme of a faith that overcomes every obstacle, “I Know It’s Mine” builds in strength and power. Starting from a sparse, almost intimate opening, it rises to a soulful, dramatic crescendo that delivers the lyric’s triumphant statement of certainty in spiritual victory through powerful harmonies from group members Jaquita Lindsey and Logan Smith, as they affirm:

“I’m going to sing, gonna lift up His name,
my weapon of worship is my song of praise.”

With four #1 songs and a growing number of top 10 singles to their credit, 11th Hour has moved quickly to make its mark as a leading member of a new generation of Southern Gospel artists whose musical ministry is built on a foundation of personal faith and compelling music.

Endless Highway tells of redemption in “He Rescued Me”

Written by Staff on October 15, 2020 – 5:37 am -

Endless HighwayArden, North Carolina (October 9, 2020) — The Griggs family that makes up Endless Highway (website HERE) is known for combining diverse musical styles with compelling songs that communicate meaning and reflect on their personal journeys in Christ. It’s music with a message, intended to reach listeners, followers of Christ and those searching for redemption. The group’s new single, “He Rescued Me” is no different.

Showing a different side than their roots, acoustic treatment of songs, “He Rescued Me” is an ardent band performance that uses a string quartet and is arranged in a way that exudes boldness. The result is both tender and intense.

Endless Highway

The Griggs family members — parents Jason and Venessa and their two children, Jay and Allison — deliver a four-part harmony chorus that gives a controlled, powerful dynamism meant to capture the redemptive moment of grace over sin that comes with freedom in Christ.

“Then He rescued me
I’m glad He rescued me
From the cold dark waters of sin’s troubled sea
Jesus rescued me
I have new life I am free
When he reached down in love
And He rescued me”

With Allison Griggs singing lead vocals, “He Rescued Me” is an updated rendition of a powerful song the group heard decades ago.

Endless Highway

“The Gospel message in this song is still relevant today,” says Jason Griggs. “Whether you are drowning in a sea of sin, guilt, oppression, or addiction, God always hears the desperate cry of His children and stands ready to save, deliver, and liberate the captive. This song gives hope to the enslaved and is the testimony of the rescued.”

The 3 Heath Brothers encourage giving burdens to Jesus with new single

Written by Staff on August 10, 2020 – 7:48 am -

3 Heath BrothersArden, North Carolina (August 6, 2020) — As part of the next generation of gospel music artists, the 3 Heath Brothers (website HERE) have quickly captured attention with their powerful voices and unmistakable calling to spread God’s word. The trio records music they believe in, with words they hope others carry through daily life, giving encouragement and hope.

With their latest single, the timely “Give It To Jesus,” the 3 Heath Brothers continue this mission, reminding listeners that when life is tough, they can give all their burdens and chaos to Jesus.

Nicholas Heath, who wrote the song, says at the time, he didn’t realize how relevant it would become. “It is a song that has almost become our theme song during this time when there are so many questions and not many answers,” says Nicholas. “No matter what any of us are going through or dealing with and no matter how we’ve been hurt or our questions…the safest and best thing we can always do is give it to Jesus.”

The moving song is the latest single from the trio’s Horizon Records debut album Who We Are, which showcases the brothers’ creative arrangements, song choice and production, making an impressive statement about their music, mission and beliefs.

Stream “Give It To Jesus” HERE.

About 3 Heath Brothers
The 3 Heath Brothers are teenagers, Nicholas, Clayton, & Christian Heath from Thomasville, NC. They have been singing together as long as they can remember. Their mom taught them to sing parts from a very early age and their dad is the Senior Pastor at Faith Community Chapel in Thomasville, NC.

When these young guys get up to sing, people are consistently shocked by their tight harmony, powerful vocals, and a cappella arrangements. In the summer of 2018, they won the Grand Champion Trophy at the NC State Annual Singing Convention. They recently performed at Dollywood, Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove, and are Main Stage artists at Singing in the Sun 2019 and the Gatlinburg Gathering 2019.

Audiences won’t want to miss their young energy and passion for God. They love God and their goal is to promote Christ and demonstrate that you are never too young to give all you have to God.

The Old Paths release What Love Does

Written by Staff on June 5, 2020 – 10:56 am -

The Old Paths release What Love DoesArden, North Carolina (June 5, 2020) — Following a year in which they released two albums and had a #1 song with “Come Sunday Morning,The Old Paths (website HERE), are sharing the many things God’s love can do on their new album, “What Love Does,” now available on all streaming platforms.

Each song captures the many ways God’s boundless love blesses each person, each day.

“What Love Does” begins with “This Is Amazing Grace,” telling of all that God has done so that we may live with love and grace. It’s followed by the first single, “I Got The Grace, He Gets The Glory,” a high-energy and upbeat song describing how God is always a solid foundation to stand on, despite sins and trials.

“When I heard this song, I couldn’t help but think that this is the theme for life as a believer,” says bass singer Daniel Ashmore who is featured on this song. “I can’t take credit for something I didn’t do and something I didn’t earn, therefore I get the grace and He gets the glory! That’s a message we want to share and this song sums it up perfectly.”

You Can’t Get Away From God,” written by Kenna Turner West, Sue C. Smith and Brian White and featuring Doug Roark, inspired the album’s title. Each verse tells vignettes of how people in tough places don’t think they’ll find relief, yet God is always there for comfort.

The powerful “Pray While You Wait” reminds that God’s timing is always perfect. When life feels impossible, know God will come through and you can always pray while you wait.

The Old Paths release What Love Does

Old Paths

Bread,” another upbeat song, illustrates how God can accomplish the impossible through the story of the loaves and fishes, while the instrumental “How Great Is Our God” — which features Ashmore on saxophone — allows listeners to feel the music, and pause to appreciate it.

Look At All I Lost” and the final song “Salvation’s Song” talk about no longer being lost after finding Christ, and being freed from guilt, shame and the weight of life. With powerful and moving vocals, these songs capture the theme of the album’s title — God’s love is capable of amazing things.

“We are so excited about this new album. The title ‘What Love Does’ is really the theme of the album, reflected in the song selection. We feel this is the best album we’ve done that really showcases our new sound with our current lineup,” says Ashmore. “Through our many failures and different circumstances in life, God exemplifies His love for us in His endless pursuit to save and change us. God is never late, and is always working all things for our good and His glory, because that’s what love does.”

About The Old Paths
In 2003, The Old Paths began its ministry taking the group’s name from Jeremiah 6:16 which says, “Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for The Old Paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” With this vision in mind and a heart for ministry, founding members Douglas Roark and Tim Rackley started The Old Paths as a trio.

The group morphed into a quartet shortly after. They signed with Crossroads Music’s Sonlite Records in 2012. Their album “Right Now” was a breakout project for them producing two #1 hits, “Battlestand” and “God’s Great,” within a six-month span. In 2013, the group was named Favorite New Quartet in the Singing News Fan Awards, and songs like “Love Them to Jesus” and “Ordinary People” also quickly became fan favorites.

The quartet made the decision in 2015 to come off the road for a while due to family circumstances. While the decision was not easy, they left the door open for a possible return to gospel music and touring. When God opened that door for them in 2017, they were ready to walk through it. With a renewed passion for ministry, The Old Paths took the stage again at the Memphis Quartet Show in June 2017.

The group now consists of founding members Tim Rackley and Douglas Roark, longtime bass singer Daniel Ashmore and tenor Steve Ladd.

Tim, Doug and Daniel found the right blend with Steve to be able to come together as The Old Paths again. The goal of the group has stayed the same after all these years to see people come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and to encourage fellow believers. They are thankful that God gave them the chance to return to the platform again to sing and encourage. They could not be more excited about this new stage of their ministry and to see what God has for the group in the future.

The Chitans sign with Horizon Records

Written by Staff on May 14, 2020 – 12:43 pm -

The Chitans sign with Horizon Records

The Chitans are, from left, Jayden, Jesse, Kayandra, Karlainah and Kaiziah.

Arden, North Carolina (May 14, 2020) — Like the message it serves, Southern gospel music knows no geographical boundaries. Kaiziah, Kayandra, Jesse, Jayden and Karlainah Chitan and their parents, Layne and Karen, spend most of the year traveling the world and serving the communities they stop in through ministering in churches, hospitals, nursing homes, senior homes, community centers, prisons, slums and on the streets — and though they’re based in Canada, the foundation of their musical ministry is the Southern gospel style they’ve listened to all their lives.
Now, The Chitans (website HERE) have signed with Horizon Records to extend that ministry through the release of “Set Apart,” their latest album produced by Roger Talley and recorded at Crossroads Studios in Arden, North Carolina.

“The first time I heard The Chitans sing, I was struck by how the audience responded to them. They made an instant connection that rarely happens,” says Talley. “I knew then that they have the potential to minister to people of every race and culture with their angelic voices and pure hearts. I’m excited about helping them broaden their ministry by partnering with them and Crossroads on this new release.”

“We, The Chitans, believe that God has set us apart for a special purpose. With that in mind, we are forever grateful to Him for the provisions, visions and directions that he has given to us daily,” the family adds. “We are very fortunate to meet and work with some great people that God has placed on our path. Crossroads/Horizons Records is one such entity. God knew what sort of help we needed as a family in ministry and he provided it through Crossroads.”

The Chitans sign with Horizon RecordsThough Southern Gospel is their chosen musical “home,” the sound of The Chitans has room for other influences, ranging from the accents of their native Caribbean region to the soulful rhythms of African-American congregations found across the northern continent. But whether they’re belting out an up-tempo song of joy, or offering a contemplative ballad, their music is always expressive, and always rooted in faith and tradition.

“We appreciate all the prayers, encouragement, support and hard work that everyone has given us as we labor together building up the kingdom,” say The Chitans. “With a new and organized team working alongside us, we know that the journey will become more exciting yet challenging, so, we solicit your prayers and support as we see where God is taking us.”

The Chitans will be releasing two singles — “Set Apart” and “Jesus Is Moving” — on May 22 ahead of a worldwide day of prayer they’re hosting.

Both songs can be pre-saved/added ahead of release on Spotify and Apple Music. Pre-save “Set ApartHERE and “Jesus Is MovingHERE.

Also titled “Jesus Is Moving,” the live-streamed worldwide day of prayer event will be May 30. Hosted by The Chitans, Jesus Is Moving will feature artists Brian Free and Assurance, The Talleys, The Whisnants, The McNeils from the United States; LYNC, The Cuffeys, Paschal Kalumbi, Tiffany Campbell-Dailey Smith from Canada; The Foster Triplets from Jamaica; Xclusive from South Africa and many others to be announced. Fans can tune in throughout the day on The Chitanswebsite, YouTube and Facebook.

The Talleys support Nashville tornado relief efforts with new song

Written by Staff on March 20, 2020 – 11:11 am -

The TalleysArden, North Carolina (March 19, 2020) — The Talleys are using their music to help Nashville tornado recovery efforts through support of a local ministry serving the community. A song from their upcoming album, The Music Goes On, titled “Looks Like Jesus To Me” was written about The Bridge ministry, which exists to alleviate the suffering of underprivileged children, the homeless, and the working poor by providing life-sustaining resources and a message of hope. Now, The Talleys announce that a portion of each download or stream of the song will go to support The Bridge and its efforts directly.
“‘Looks Like Jesus To Me’ makes me feel thankful, thoughtful, and a bit sad. It was written by Aaron Wilburn and inspired by the work of the Bridge Ministry, which meets the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless in Nashville. The song makes me feel thankful for what I have, sad for the plight of those who struggle to survive, and thoughtful of how we, the body of Christ, can work to make their lives better,” says Lauren Talley. “One way we want to do that is to directly support The Bridge through sales of the song. A portion of each download or stream’s revenue will be donated to The Bridge, which is helping rebuild Nashville after the recent weather-related tragedies in the region. We are truly blessed. Let’s pass our blessings along — that’s what looks like Jesus to the world around us.”

Songwriter Aaron Wilburn — who was performing with The Talleys in Monroe, Louisiana when Roger approached him about recording “Looks Like Jesus To Me” for their upcoming album — will also be donating half of his royalties from the song to help the ministry.

“On the morning of the tornados, I woke up from a dream that I had donated half of the writer royalties to The Bridge Ministry. I knew immediately what I must do and I made the call to put it in motion,” says Wilburn. “Even though the new radio single from The Talleys had already been scheduled, within hours, plans changed as decisions were made to release ‘Looks Like Jesus To Me’ with The Talleys and their record company Crossroads Music to help raise funds for the victims from the March tornados. God is not an accidental God, not a haphazard God, and not a reckless God. He knows our tomorrows before our tomorrows arrive and when we have needs, He will meet them — sometimes from the giving hands of others — and also from our blessed hands into the lives of others. We never look more like Him than when we are serving others.”

Looks Like Jesus To Me” can be downloaded on iTunes and Amazon Music now and will be available on all streaming platforms when The Talleys’ album, The Music Goes On, is released April 24. Those who are interested in making a direct donation to The Bridge can do so HERE.

The Talleys to release final album, The Music Goes On

Written by Staff on March 6, 2020 – 8:13 am -

The TalleysArden, North Carolina (March 6, 2020) — After years of writing, singing and producing music that propelled them to be one of the most recognized acts in Southern gospel, The Talleys (click HERE) are bringing their performing career to a close with one last collection aptly titled, The Music Goes On. The album is now available for pre-order ahead of its April 24 release.
The Talleys’ career goes back more than 35 years when Debra, Roger, and Kirk Talley brought a fresh new sound, blazing trails that crossed over Christian music genres and became a foundation for many artists to follow. Roger and Debra left the road to raise their daughter Lauren, but later returned with her as part of the trio, quickly rising back to the top of the charts. Now, that chapter comes to a close as Debra and Roger retire and Lauren continues as a solo artist.

“It is our hope and sincere prayer that our music has touched your life in some way. As you listen to the last collection from The Talleys, we hope that the lyrics will touch your hearts as they have ours,” say The Talleys.

The Talleys sing in the rain in their "Grab Your Umbrella" videoThe album begins with “The Healer In The Grave,” an upbeat song featuring Lauren, written by her, Lee Black and Kenna West that tells the story of three who received miracles from Jesus before His crucifixion. They wonder if His death will return them to their former lives. But then Jesus conquers death and rises from the grave, breaking all the chains that bind.

Lauren sings lead again on “Looks Like Jesus To Me,” a moving song about living in the image of Christ and treating broken people as He would. The song was written about a Nashville ministry for the homeless called The Bridge, which was affected by the recent tornadoes there. As the ministry continues to help the homeless and hungry of Nashville that have been devastated and displaced by the storm, The Talleys ask for those interested in helping to make a donation.

Debra is featured on “He Has,” a reminder that God has always been grateful, graceful and true. The song describes all the wonders Christ has done and what he continues to do in our lives. Other songs include “Triumphantly The Church Will Rise,” a re-recording of one of The Talleys’ biggest hits, and “Jesus Loves You,” written by Lee Black and Tony Wood.

The Talleys bring their final album to an end with a special message in “My Heart Is There With You.” Debra takes lead, wishing the blessings of peace, love and happiness to all who have enjoyed The Talleys’ music over the years. She sings, “It’s just a line to let you know I think of you and miss you so / And even though I’m far away my heart is there / You’re in my prayers and my heart is there with you”

Roger Talley devotes his talents to beloved hymns on Timeless Piano Classics“Our love and thanks go to all the wonderful writers that have allowed us to be the voice of their songs over the years. And to the musicians who have seen our vision for all our songs and bringing them to life, we couldn’t have done this without you,” say The Talleys. “To you, our friends, we thank you for supporting us, loving us, and for buying and listening to our music. While we won’t be ‘on the road’ in the future as a group, you are in our hearts and we are grateful that The Music Goes On.”

The Old Paths’ ‘Come Sunday Morning’ goes No. 1 on multiple charts

Arden, North Carolina (January 24, 2020) — “Come Sunday Morning,” from The Old Paths’ It’s Real EP, has reached No. 1 on both the Singing News and SGNScoops charts.
The closing song of It’s Real, “Come Sunday Morning,” features tenor singer Steve Ladd. The ballad about the Resurrection story has a strong hook and chorus and uses a common, unspectacular phrase to describe a miraculous story.

“On Friday, the Savior died on a cross / Saturday it seemed like all hope was lost / But soon, there would be cause for rejoicing / ‘Cause everything changes, come Sunday morning!”

The Old Paths’ Tim Rackley said the group is thankful that listeners and radio DJs connected to the song.

“When we came back on the road full-time last year, we didn’t realize how much we would be welcomed back with open arms,” says Rackley. “And for that we are so thankful, not only for the support from fans, friends, song writers and Crossroads Music but also from gospel radio.”

The Old Paths CD - It's RealAbout The Old Paths
In 2003, The Old Paths began its ministry taking the group’s name from Jeremiah 6:16 which says, “Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for The Old Paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” With this vision in mind and a heart for ministry, founding members Douglas Roark and Tim Rackley started The Old Paths as a trio.

The group morphed into a quartet shortly after. They signed with Crossroads Music’s Sonlite Records in 2012. Their album Right Now was a breakout project for them producing two #1 hits, “Battlestand” and “God’s Great,” within a six-month span.
