Arden, North Carolina (January 10, 2020) — Master’s V (website HERE) is finding comfort in God’s promises on Solace, their new album now available from Sonlite Records (website HERE)
Solace recognizes there will be life after death, and therefore it isn’t something to be feared. With powerful and moving moments, Master’s Voice brings hope to the weary and finds peace in the gospel.
The album begins with “Let Us Not Grow Weary,” a song about keeping a positive attitude and spreading God’s word, even when the world is a difficult place. It’s followed by “He’s Coming Back,” the first radio single, detailing Christ’s return to Earth. T.J. Evans, singing lead, shares that day will be joyful for those headed to their eternal home.
“Why should I worry with the sinful world / I’m getting ready to leave / He’s coming back, I’m going home / Soon I’m gonna see the face of the one I’ve waited for so long.”
Solace has quiet reverent moments with “The Things Only God Can Do,” featuring Ricky Capps marveling at God’s power and the miracles only He can accomplish, and “Pray Through Me,” describing how hopelessness can be turned over to the Holy Spirit.
Songs like “Because I Said So” and “Took It All Away” — which features David Folenius — remind us to trust in God’s plan as He’s given us all we need to live and thrive before reaching eternal life.
In “At Home,” featuring Jerry Pilgrim, Master’s Voice tells of learning about Heaven and all the wonders it will hold. “Five Minutes” reminds that diligently living as a follower of Christ will allow you to reach that promised land, and the haunting “Thinking Outside The Grave” serves as a warning to not be shortsighted and to remember life continues after death.
Other tracks include “This Same Jesus,” “Peace Like A River,” and “Last Of The Last Days.”
As a collection, Solace is a statement of being at peace with God’s plan for all life and a reminder of the glories Heaven promises after death.

Steve Ladd
Jantina de Haan looks Beyond the Song by asking Steve Ladd about “The Thing About A Valley:”
“Rodney Griffin sent me the song,” says Steve Ladd. “I fell in love with it immediately.”
What does the song mean to you personally?
“We all have mountaintop experiences, but we all go through valleys as well. I’ve had my fair share. This song reminds people that (if/when) you are as low as you can go, it keeps you looking up! That’s where our help comes from!”
Why did you include this song on your project?

Steve Ladd, Come Up Clean CD
“The song turned out great and I love the drive that the music has.”

About Steve Ladd
As early as five years old while growing up in Dayton, Ohio, Steve Ladd felt the call of God to minister through song. The son of an evangelist, the youngster would mature to become one of the most well-liked and respected group member for some of America’s most award-winning Christian music ensembles like Gold City and The Anchormen. Although still considered a young artist, Ladd has spent the last four years traveling extensively both domestically and internationally. Performing inspirational songs like “Preach the Word” has become a personal anthem of encouragement Ladd takes wherever he goes and he reports “God moves and lives that are broken and hurting are leaving changed and encouraged at my services.” Professionally, Ladd has been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, nominated for “New Artist of the Year,” has had five Top 40 Singles and on release day, and his latest album, No Excuses, No Regrets was in the Top 20 chart for iTunes Christian music. Steve, his wife, and two children are also ministry partners with Compassion International. While the beginning of an extraordinary journey started with his family, evolved into being an integral part of some of the most award-winning Christian ensembles, the last few years as a solo artist have proven the Lord’s faithfulness in his family, his ministry, and his life.

Jerry Martin Departs the Dove Brothers
Written by Rhonda on October 15, 2010 – 5:27 pm -BLADENBORO, N.C. – (October 15, 2010) – Multi-award winning quartet the Dove Brothers regretfully announce the departure of long-time tenor vocalist Jerry Martin.
McCray Dove said, “Jerry has been a big part of our group for the last eight and a half years. This decision was mutual between us. We have no hard feelings for Jerry and wish him the best in the future. Sometimes one knows when their time is up with a group, and Jerry felt that it was time for him to transition to a new area. What that is exactly we don’t know – but we love Jerry and support him in whatever way he chooses to go.” Dove continued, “We want to squelch any rumors that Jerry left because of creative differences. There really isn’t any more to the story. We both just felt it was time, and we are still great friends!”
During his tenure with the Dove Brothers, Jerry was the voice behind the #1 Song of 2007 and SGN Music Award Song of the Year winner “I Can Pray.” Jerry has earned multiple Favorite Tenor nominations in the Singing News Fan Awards and a Male Vocalist of the Year nod in the SGN Music Awards during his time with the group.
Until a permanent replacement can be named, the Dove Brothers have enlisted the help of Phil Barker (formerly of the Singing Americans) to fill in. The group is currently auditioning vocalists for the position, and a replacement will be named in the coming weeks.
The Dove Brothers released their critically acclaimed album Unshakeable earlier this year. The first single from that release – “If I Knew Then” – just hit #1 on the AbsolutelyGospel.com (formerly SoGospelNews.com) Top 40 Weekly Chart this week. The song is also quickly climbing the Singing News Top 80 chart – coming in at #42 on the upcoming November chart in only its second month of charting.
More information on the Dove Brothers can be found at http://dovebrothersquartet.com
About the Dove Brothers
Voted Favorite Male Quartet of The Year by the Southern Gospel Music Association and the Singing News Fan Awards, the Dove Brothers’ high energy presentation and progressive arrangements reflect a tangible link to the good old days of gospel music. Their peers regard them as a class act representing the industry with dignity and respect. Their latest recording for Sonlite Records is entitled Unshakeable and spawned off the #1 hit “If I Knew Then.”
