Triumphant Quartet Tops Nomination List for Singing News Fan Awards

Franklin, TN (Mansion Entertainment) March 18th, 2011 – The Singing News, recognized as the leading Southern Gospel Music Magazine, recently announced its list of nominees for the Singing News Fan Awards. Triumphant Quartet tops the list of nominees in a four-way tie with three other artists garnering 11 individual and group nominations. The Singing News Fan Awards are one of the longest running and most prestigious fan-based awards ceremonies in the Southern Gospel Music industry.

Triumphant Quartet comprised of group members Clayton Inman, David Sutton, Scott Inman, Eric Bennett and Jeff Stice, have received nods from Southern Gospel fans for Favorite Artist, Traditional Quartet, Favorite Lead (Clayton), Baritone (Scott), Tenor (David), Bass (Eric) and Musician (Jeff), Songwriter (Scott) and Album (‘Love Came Calling’). The group also received two nominations for Favorite Song with “Somebody Died For Me” and “Love Came Calling”.

The recent Singing News Fan Award nominations continue a string of acknowledgements for the group by both fans and industry personnel alike including Dove Award nominations this year for ‘Southern Gospel Song of The Year’ and ‘Song of The Year’, both for “Love Came Calling”. The ‘Song of the Year’ Dove nomination puts the group in an elite spotlight across all genres of Christian Music as the only traditional Southern Gospel group to appear in the list of nominees that include artists such as Mercy Me, Toby Mac and Chris Tomlin.
