Don DeGrate Signs Homeland Label

Nashville, TN- Homeland Entertainment Group announces the signing of Don DeGrate of Charlotte North Carolina to the Homeland label.  Plans are already underway for a live audio recording and DVD that will be released in early February 2011.

DeGrate, a native of Waco Texas began his professional career many years ago as one of the co-hosts of Pat Robertson’s 700 Club after serving several years in the United States Air Force and entering into ministry both as a church choir director and being called into the preaching ministry.  That lead to numerous other opportunities such as hosting a weekly Black Gospel Music Television Program “Right On” featuring many gospel personalities of that era along with his own group The Don DeGrate Singers.

After several seasons of taping the “Right On” program, Rev. DeGrate left the CBN network and started the group Don DeGrate and Delegation traveling extensively both national and internationally performing mostly Black Gospel, but his performances included Southern Gospel songs as well.  After a successful time with major recording contracts on four major labels, DeGrate entered into the Pastoral ministry and the Delegation days came to an end with Don DeGrate and Strong Tower emerging in the early 1990s as one of Southern Gospel Fan’s most loved artists during that decade producing such Top 40 hits as “Sold Out”, “Promises One By One”, “No Longer A Stranger” and “God Wrote A Song”.

Don DeGrate and Strong Tower performed on many of the nation’s most prestigious events in Southern Gospel including appearances on Bill Gaither’s Homecoming Videos, The National Quartet Convention, TBN’s Praise The Lord, Spirit Fest and Homeland Harmony TV just to name a few.  Now back in solo Evangelism, Don DeGrate has a revived vision and purpose while still pastoring his North Carolina based church.  He is ready to travel the roads once again and renew many acquaintances from the Strong Tower days as well as making new friends in his concert appearances.  DeGrate is currently auditioning musicians for his upcoming tours.  Any musician that is interested may contact Rev. DeGrate at 704-609-3347.

“I am excited, happy and blessed to be part of the Homeland Entertainment Group as an artist on the Homeland Recording label”. says DeGrate.  Homeland Director of A/R Eric Melton adds to that statement “One thing that I enjoy along with working with new artists in Gospel Music, is working with friends from the past.  I have always enjoyed the music of Don DeGrate and promoted him at a label that I worked for in the past, plus with Don being a former Homeland label artist it is with honor that we welcome him back home”.

Don DeGrate will also be a frequent guest on the Brush Arbor Television series coming in 2011 that is being seen nationwide For more information go to www.homelandentertainmentgroup.com or www.brusharborjubilee.com .
