FATHER OF MICHAEL ENGLISH, CLIFTON AUBINE ENGLISH, PASSES AWAY

english dadNASHVILLE, TN – Clifton Aubine English, beloved father of renowned Gospel artist Michael English, passed away at the age of 80 on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 after a long battle with cancer.
Aubine, Born January 15, 1933, was a simple man who was loved and respected by those who knew him. He was a caring, hard working man willing to lend a helping hand as long as his health permitted. Being a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Aubine lived his life dedicated to God, his family and his community. Basing his life on Christian principles, he instilled those same values in his children. Aubine loved gospel music and enjoyed using his talent for the Lord. Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Aubine owned and operated a music store in Wallace, NC for many years and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
“I’ve lost my hero, my biggest influence, and the one I could always turn to,” said Michael English. “He taught me how to sing and instilled in me a love for gospel music. My world will never be the same. Thank you so much for your outpouring of love and prayers.”

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 6:00 PM at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with the Reverend Larry Kelly and the Reverend Andy Beard officiating.  There will also be a private graveside service onSunday, August 18, 2013.
Aubine is survived by his wife, Lena English; his sons, Michael English and wife, Marcie of Nashville, TN and Biney English and wife, Beverly of Teachey;  grandchildren, Jessica English Whitley, Megan Cook and husband, Keith, Sean English and Isabella English;  great grandchildren, Alexis Whitley, Madison Whitley, Asia Whitley, Chloe Whitley, Macie Whitley, Stella Cook and Ruby Cook and numerous nieces, nephews and friends who loved Aubine dearly.
