Former Attorney General John Ashcroft To Appear Wednesday & Thursday At National Quartet Convention

Louisville, KY – Attendees of Wednesday night’s concert in Freedom Hall during the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY, will have the opportunity to enjoy a sneak preview of Attorney General John Ashcroft (pictured in attached jpg). General Ashcroft is scheduled to serve as a keynote speaker on Thursday morning at 10:30am in East Hall; however, he will also be a part of Wednesday night’s program, which will also include more than a dozen popular Southern Gospel recording artists, including Grammy winner Jason Crabb, who will host the evening program.

Individuals unable to attend the National Quartet Convention in person have the opportunity to watch  performances taking place in Freedom Hall live, as it happens, or on demand through the NQC’s popular webcast, www.nqconlinec.com. For the past four years the NQC has offered the webcasting option to Southern Gospel Music fans unable to attend the event in person. Since partnering with 316 Networks, the NQC Webcast has become one of the Networks’ most successful subscriber webcast. All events taking place in Freedom Hall throughout NQC Week are available through the webcast.

The 3rd Annual NQC Cancer Walk, hosted by Janet Paschal, which will begin at 8:00am, starts the busy day of events on Thursday morning. The Walk proceeds benefit the Amercian Cancer Society.

Another Thursday highlight will be the Reunion of the multi-Grammy Award winning Gaither Vocal Band. Former and current members of the popular group will unite on stage in Freedom Hall for a 1:15pm concert.
