Sunday Edition Nominated For “Best Southern Gospel Group” in About Christian Music Reader’s Choice Awards!

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – (February 21, 2011) – Sunday Edition, one of Middle Tennessee’s favorite groups, was recently greeted with news that they were nominated in the About Christian Music Reader’s Choice Awards.

The up and coming trio was nominated for “Best Southern Gospel Group” alongside some of the industry’s most visible and respected artists such as Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, The Hoppers, The Isaacs, and Gaither Vocal Band. The readers of About Christian Music chose the nominees in a dozen categories that included every genre of music form Southern Gospel to Rock and Urban to Indie categories.

“To say that we are shocked by this nomination is an understatement,” mentioned Deon Unthank of Sunday Edition. “We’ve had a rough first part of the year with the death of my wife, and due to her declining health our ministry took a backseat for a good part of last year. To see that people are still supportive of our music and ministry is so encouraging! We are truly honored and humbled by this nomination! Thank you to everyone who placed a vote for us!”

Sunday Edition was recently named the “underdog” by Kim Jones (editor of About Christian Music) due to the group’s indie status and grassroots following. Voting for the winners will continue until March 8, 2011, and fans of all genres of Gospel music are encouraged to vote for their favorite artists.

Sunday Edition recently recorded their third single release for BSA World Records. News about the new song and full-time radio promotion will be announced at a later date.

Sunday Worship consists of six cherished hymns and five modern worship songs set to an acoustic, piano only accompaniment.
