The Calvarymen Gear up for Dinner Cruise to Mackinac Island

Mackinac, MI — The Calvarymen Quartet are getting ready for the Sunset Dinner Cruise on July 14.  For 30 years, they have hosted a dinner cruise around the island and under the “Big Mac” bridge.  It’s a two-hour catered cruise on a double-deck ferry surrounded by beautiful Michigan scenery.

“People find out about the cruise through the Chamber of Commerce and The Calvarymen website,” said Barry Maust, lead singer, “It’s become a tradition for people; a lot of repeaters from Canada, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and all over.”

Known as “Michigan’s ambassadors of Goodwill,” The Calvarymen lineup includes Barry Maust, Steve Ratliff, James Bruney and most recently out of retirement Jim Glasco.  They are regularly featured on the television network Gospel Music Television, as well as radio stations across the U.S. airplay” which is a charting system for gospel music, the Calvarymen had the #1 Christmas song for 2006, and the #2 southern gospel song for the month of December, 2006.
