Crabb Family’s New Recording Hits the Street and National Airwaves

Written by SGN Scoops on February 8, 2012 – 2:19 pm -

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—February 8th, 2012—Together Again (Gaither Music Group), the all-new studio recording from the multiple award-winning Crabb Family, hit shelves and online stores everywhere this week. The ten-song release, produced by lead singer and GRAMMY® Award-winning solo artist Jason Crabb, offers fans the first new music from the popular siblings in several years.
An extensive tv and media campaign surrounding the new release began this past weekend on networks including GAC, GMC, RFD, FamilyNet, TBN, INSP, CTS, CTN, Grace, Legacy, FFE, Miracle and Airtime. Gaither.com is currently featuring an exclusive interview with the entire Crabb Family. Members of hearitfirst.com can log on, starting today, to get a FREE download from the new release.

Coinciding with a recent, limited run of national tour dates that the group has just completed, Together Again was recorded with a vocal approach that was musically different for the group, which traveled together for around 15 years, garnering national attention and recognitions.
Apparently, the new style is working as the release has already been described by one reviewer as the group’s best album to date–a big statement given the siblings’ history of hit songs and glowing reviews.
Together Again includes three songs written by the award-winning country writer Neil Thrasher (who co-wrote Jason’s solo hit “Somebody Like Me”) in addition to tunes written by such industry pacesetters as their father, Gerald Crabb; Sue C. Smith; Lee Black; David Moffitt; Gina Boe; Don Poythress; Ronnie Freeman; Stephanie Lewis and Caleb Collins. The recording also features two songs co-written by Jason alongside longtime friend Sonya Isaacs Yeary, country tunesmith Jimmy Yeary, as well as Carl Cartee and Barry Weeks.
“If There Ever Was a Time,” the first single from the new release, is currently playing at radio stations nationwide. The song, a pick hit at several southern Gospel charting stations, just hit the Top 10 New Release chart for February according to reporting stations for The Singing News Magazine.
Siblings Jason, Adam, Aaron, Kelly and Terah, known as The Crabb Family, took the Christian music industry by storm in the 90’s with their signature brand of country-tinged Gospel, live stage band and powerhouse musical arrangements. The Crabb Family took home 11 GMA DOVE Awards, garnered three GRAMMY® nominations, and blurred the lines between Christian music genres with recordings and nominations ranging from bluegrass to black Gospel.
Their family blends became a hit on platforms varying from the Gaither HOMECOMING stages and “The Grand Ole Opry” to the Brooklyn Tabernacle and Carnegie Hall. Heralded by the industry and fans alike, the group produced numerous Top 10 hits and 16 number one hits.
Together Again is now available digitally and at retail stores everywhere. It is distributed exclusively by EMI CMG Distribution. For further information regarding The Crabb Family, visit www.thecrabbfamily.com.

“Crabb Family Celebration Tour Announced”

Written by Rhonda on October 22, 2010 – 11:16 am -

NASHVILLE, Tenn.  (10/20/10)  After the Crabb Family’s retirement in 2007, Jason, Kelly, Aaron, Adam and Terah chose to pursue separate musical paths. In 2010, the siblings are a music lover’s dream representing an array of accomplishments. These include Jason’s Grammy win this year, Aaron’s newly found position as worship leader of the highly acclaimed Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, TX for Pastor John Hagee, Adam’s break out “band” that landed GMC’s 2008 “Genre Album Of The Year” and Kelly and Terah’s collaboration with Mike Bowling that claimed a record-breaking four #1 songs from their debut album. This family represents multiple styles with their familiar pure hearts that fans have loved since they were young, Kentucky kids new on the Nashville music scene.

“It’s amazing what comes to mind in the middle of the night, and then once we gather in the backyard at a family cookout, those 4 am thoughts turn into a distinct plan.  A quick family celebration results in smiles and thoughts of going out and singing as a family again.  Scheduling is tough, but when it’s family, we make it work.  So, here we go!  Starting Thanksgiving weekend the Crabb Family will be in a city near you,”  said Jason Crabb.

Terah Penhollow continued, “How much better can it get?  Family, singing and seeing all our friends again.  I am so excited!”

“No matter how much time we spend apart, the minute we are back together again, it’s as if time stood still and we are right back in that little country church where we learned to sing together.  Those were some of the best times of our lives and we want to recreate the excitement of those early years,” Kelly Bowling commented.

“It’s a wonderful thing to do something just because you want to.  I feel like we have all grown spiritually and have come into our own while we have been apart, but there is always something about going home and hitting the stage with my family and remembering how it all began.  There is nothing like it,” stated Aaron Crabb

Adam Crabb added, “I hope every person who has been a part of our ministry, since we were kids, will come join us for these concerts that will take us back to our Crabbfest days. I think this will be a road version of Crabbfest! ”

Jason Crabb concluded, “I challenge you to come out and join us!  We promise Crabb Family music, Crabb Family worship and who knows, maybe a surprise here and there.  You won’t be disappointed!”

The fact that this will be Terah and Kelly’s return to the road, following their bus accident on July 1st, makes this tour all the more special. These kids have praised their way through many storms in the past several years, now they are ready to invite you to praise the Lord along with them!

The Bowling Family – Available To Make Limited Appearances

Written by Rhonda on October 6, 2010 – 9:45 am -

Mike, Kelly and Terah will be available for a limited schedule in 2011.  They have an unbelievable testimony to share.  The history of this family is rich (the girls spending many years with their siblings as the Crabb Family, and Mike achieving many musical goals) and the blessings have been many.  But, the grace and mercy of this miracle has brought these folks to a place that overshadows the accolades of the past.  The path is obvious.
The Bowlings are reminded daily that God is still on the throne and miracles are still a part of our lives in 2010.  The ministry of this family will touch your life in a fresh way.  This story confirms what we all know.  The enemy tries daily to bring harm and destroy, but God has the final say!
Watch the story and witness the miracle . . .

Mike, Kelly and Terah will be available to make select television appearances and radio interviews during the months of October and November.
The group plans to return to a limited touring schedule in 2011.
Mike, Kelly and Terah made a special appearance at the 2010 National Quartet Convention.  This was their first appearance after their horrible bus crash.

To schedule a television appearance, please contact:  Crystal Burchette-Johnson crystalpr@comcast.net 615-473-4619
To schedule a concert or church appearance, please contact Beckie Simmons beckie@bsaworld.com 615-595-7500
From the Bowling’s perspective:
“When you feel as if your life is in the balance and everyday is a gift, you realize how real the grace of God is.  After spending lots of hours with Him, I know the calling has not changed and is even stronger.  I don’t remember the accident, but after seeing photographs and video footage of the bus, I have no doubt that God performed a miracle that day on I-85.  Kelly and I have committed our lives to giving back to Him and telling of our miracle.  The lyrics of our songs have become life to me and I can’t wait to sing them again,” Mike Bowling commented.
Kelly Bowling continued, “The day of the accident, I woke up to the sound of brakes squealing and felt the impact of the crash that broke my back.  I immediately heard screams from the front lounge that I knew were my family, children and friends.  After opening the door and seeing just how bad the scene was, never in a million years would I have believed we are all sitting here recovering and not one life was lost.  The memories of that day will eventually fade, and as I look forward to that, I want to always remember what God has taught me through all of this.  I know that Satan had a plan that day, but God had a purpose!  I now look at life so differently.  I feel we have a new vision!  The compassion and second chance given to us makes me want to wake up daily and help others.  When you have cried yourself to sleep over your own healing, then you know how to pray with others about their situations.  There is no way to express the honor I feel to know that ministry is my future.  I am more excited than I have ever been, in my entire life, to return to ministry.  I feel like there is a well bubbling up!”
“I know that the prayers of people changed the outcome of the situation.  Through Facebook and Twitter, thousands and thousands of people were praying immediately.  It is not the normal that changes people’s lives, it is the interruptions.  It’s amazing how when times are tough and tragedy hits, people bind together and love conquers all.  We have a new song to sing and when we get back on the road, it is going to be awesome!  Our lives have been touched and I know God is going to allow us to touch others,” said Terah Penhollow.

The Bowling Family To Make Appearance During NQC 2010

Written by Rhonda on September 10, 2010 – 3:05 am -

LOUISVILLE. KY—The Bowling Family will make a special appearance during the 2010 National Quartet Convention. Mike, Kelly and Terah plan to be in their booth (317) from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. They will also take the stage later that night. Doctors have released Mike and Kelly to travel to Louisville, KY, where the convention will be held, based on the limited two hour drive from Nashville, Tennessee, along with the support of family and caretakers being able to travel with them. This will be the first appearance for the Bowling Family since their horrible bus accident on July 1st near Charlotte, NC.

“The Bowling Family accident has united the music community in a way I have never seen before. The support, love and generosity of people continues to amaze me. This should make every person involved in Christian music rejoice and be proud. The Beckie Simmons Agency is currently booking a limited number of dates beginning early next year for the Bowling Family,” added Beckie Simmons.
