Ed O’Neal and Dixie Melody Boys Sign Major Label Recording Deal with Great American Gospel

Gospel Music Hall of Fame Inductee and legendary bassist, Ed O’Neal and the Dixie Melody Boys has signed a brand new major label recording agreement with Great American Gospel.  The Great American Gospel Television program, which has featured Ed as the regular host for the last seven years has now formed the new recording label due to the popularity and success of the NRB award-winning program and it’s charming host.

The new label has announced Ed and the boys will be busy in the recording studio in April to begin their first project for the label and will focus on bringing many of the chart-topping songs that the Dixie Melody Boys performed such as “Antioch Church House Choir”, “Family Bible” and others to the millions of television viewers who watch the program.  The Grammy nominated quartet will also be performing on stage in Charlotte, North Carolina that same month filming the same songs for the new season of Great American Gospel.

In addition to the recording label, Ed will be debuting Great American Gospel Radio and to over 75 Syndicated Radio Markets nationwide.  Working in affiliation with Jim Robinette and TS Media Promotions, many of the artists appearing and working with Great American Gospel and American Gospel will be hitting the airwaves by the summer of 2015.  Another “never before offered service” being added to the television and radio programs will be a National Toll-Free Booking Number that concert promoters, churches and viewers, may have access in scheduling the Dixie Melody Boys and other artists appearing on the programs.

The Tacketts Release New Project “Miracles Never Cease” At NQC

Defiance, OH The Tacketts have released their much-anticipated sixth project titled “Miracles Never Cease” last week at the 2013 National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY. The project is a collection of eight original progressive country Gospel songs and two time-tested tributes, and is titled after the original song written by Jeff’s father, Pastor Doug Tackett. The songs were written by some of the best in Gospel Music.

Jeff Tackett stated, “We have never been as excited about working on a CD as we have this one. It was not only special because we recorded a song written by my father but every song will be encouraging to anyone that hears them. John Rowsey did a phenomenal job of producing the project as well as writing two of the songs chosen by us to record. It was recorded at Harvest Studios in Huntington, WV. We had such a great response at NQC by the people that heard us at the showcases and they couldn’t wait to purchase the CD. ’Miracles Never Cease’ will bless you every time you play it.”

Dixie melody Boys Inducted Into Hall Of Fame

On January 1st, the Dixie Melody Boys were notified that they have been included in the 2011 class of inductees for the

Christian Music Hall Of Fame. This years list of inductees include Watne Watson, Take 6, Nicole C. Mullen, DeGarmo and Key, Jeoffrey Beward and Susie Luchsinger as well the Dixie Melody Boys. The Christian Music Hall Of Fame honors artists from all genres of Christian Music. The induction ceremony will be held on November 5th. More details will announced at a later date.
