Looking for gospel music events to put on your 2018 calendar? Vernon Alabama’s Gospel Music Weekend 2018 is going to be one of those “don’t miss events” to add to your list. The dates are September 7th and 8th at the Vernon City Auditorium in Vernon, Alabama.

“We look forward to the Vernon event each year and appreciate all the support for gospel music from the city of Vernon and the surrounding community. We want the community to come out and enjoy two evenings of gospel music without wearing them out and at the same time give the artists the opportunity to share their music and ministry,” commented Dennis McKay of M.A.C. Records

Board members for event, Rob Patz, Vonda Easley, Leslie McKay, Dennis McKay

Vernon Alabama’s Gospel Music Weekend started out several years ago as a M.A.C. Records event (M.A.C. Night of Worship) hosted by Dennis and Leslie McKay that featured just the artists of M.A.C. Records. The M.A.C. artists remain central to Vernon Alabama’s Gospel Music Weekend and the 2018 event will continue the tradition of featuring those talented artists. This year’s event will feature the following: Kenny Gardner, Carol Barham, Day Three, Jesse Reece, Danny Figgins, Eagle’s Wings, The Riders, Zion’s Way, Chronicle, and McKay Project.

Fast Five with Trinity 3….

Written by scoopsnews on October 7, 2016 – 12:23 pm -

Recently, we got to talk with Trinity 3 and asked them five questions. We call this “Fast Five.” Enjoy!
1. Tell Us About Trinity 3:
Trinity 3 is a ladies trio from Mississippi and Alabama. Rhonda Richardson, Lauren Morris, and Makenzie Conn make up the trio and do the singing. We also have two guys that are part of the group and make up the band. Ricky Morris plays keys and Nathan Richardson plays bass.
Trinity 3 was established in January 2014 after the three ladies attended a 5th Sunday night singing that was being held at Rhonda’s church. Both Lauren and Makenzie sang but had no idea who each other were. After that night the friendship began as did the new Trinity 3 family. After the very first practice together, we all knew that God had called us out. That is when it all fell in place. The Lord told us in Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore into all nations making disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” This is our scripture verse that we chose. It firmly tells us to “GO” and that is what we are doing. The helpful thing about it all is that God gave us the tools we need and we are having the best time ever.

2. Tell Us About Your Current Radio Single:
We have been so blessed through our 2 ½ years of ministry. God has provided everything we have ever needed. We are continuously being amazed at all the things he is doing. Our latest blessing came in the form of our newest release “God Did It”. And that is exactly what he did. He has done it all. Rhonda took the lead on the song because she felt like she had lived the song. Being the oldest of the 3 ladies, she has been down a road or two of changes and disappointments but after it was all said and done, God reached down, took her by the heart and pulled her out, “GOD DID IT”!! We like to give some credit to Dennis McKay with M.A.C. Records for seeing in us something we didn’t. Upon recording the latest project “The Climb”, Dennis heard “God Did It” and said, “Ladies, ya’ll have something great in this song”. Once again God had done it again.

3. What Can Folks Expect When They Come to a Trinity 3 Service?
We like to make it personal with everyone we meet and sing in front of. We enjoy walking around at the very beginning of the services and shaking hands with the congregation. We like for them to be comfortable from the start so that there is no reason that the Holy Spirit can’t show up and show out. We make it known that we don’t come to entertain you, we come to worship.

4. When Y’all Are On the Road, What Is Your Favorite Place to Eat?
FOOD!! All we can say is that we love it. ALL of it. I guess that best is when you go sing for a church for homecoming and you get all that fresh vegetables, fried chicken, etc. You get the idea.

5. How Can Folks Contact Trinity 3?
We would love to hear from you. You can contact us several different ways.

Trinity 3 Joins M.A.C. Records

Written by scoopsnews on May 19, 2016 – 1:05 pm -

Columbus, MS (May 19, 2016) – M.A.C. Records has recently signed modern day southern gospel group, Trinity Three, to their growing roster of talented artists.
“When we first heard Trinity Three almost a year and a half ago, we were captivated by their energy and their tight all-girl harmony. We loved their dynamic of including live keyboard in their performance and it wasn’t just any keyboard playing but that good “tear it up” kind of keyboard playing. Since then, we had the opportunity to get to know them and observe their humility and love for serving Christ in their music ministry. It just seemed like a good fit and we are proud to have them as part of the M.A.C. Records family”, said Dennis McKay, owner of M.A.C. Records.
The members of Trinity Three are: Makenzie Conn from Ethelsville, AL; Lauren Morris of Gordo, AL along with her father, Ricky Morris on the keyboard; and Rhonda Richardson from Columbus, MS along with her son, Nathan, who plays the bass guitar. Most may recognize Ricky as being the piano player for The McAdams Quartet for 36 years.
“We are honored to be a part of M.A.C. Records with Dennis and Leslie McKay. We are just regular people who were called two and a half years ago to go and spread the gospel of Christ through our talents and voices. We are excited for this new opportunity and ask for prayer as we continue this daily journey that God has placed us on”, commented Lauren Morris of Trinity Three.
Trinity Three’s second project, “The Climb”, was recorded at Studio 115A in Columbus, MS and produced by Dennis McKay. The project was released earlier this month under the M.A.C. Records label. Trinity Three’s debut radio release from the project, “God Did It”, will be going to radio in June.
For more information about Trinity Three, visit their website at www.trinity3music.com.
